Yes it was, Ellie Renshaw, Executive Office Manager no less!!

  • Hi I have had a reply from A&L regarding my request for refund of charges ad they have sent a cheque for a very small amount of the claim. I am a little confused over which letter to send saying that I wish to claimthe full amount but will accept the cheque for now?! is it step 4? as it dosn't mention that you will keep the cheque but want full amount back

    Thanks
  • Hi there,
Newbie here, so be nice to me please!
I'm looking to claim back some charges i've accrued over the years on an RBS Credit Card. I can't find where to send my letter to though. I sent a copy to my local branch and they have obviously just ignored it, as I haven't had a reply and I sent it months ago. Anyone know where I should send the claim to? Head Office, Customer Services?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Thanks for the swift reply. I'll get it sent off to the head office ASAP and hopefully that'll get the ball rolling.
    Fingers crossed.

    Hello everyone!
I am on the process of reclaiming default charges from MBNA amounting £294.15. On July 30 I recieved a letter from them stating that all their charges are fair and on the agreement but offering me £104 as a matter of goodwill. I wanted the whole amount so I sent the 2nd letter threatening to go to court but put without prejudice will accept £250 on July 28 (did not put on account the £104 that they will be sending). I recieved another letter from them with a cheque £104 enclosed they did not say that it will be their final settlement. So I presume that they would just send the remainder of my offer which is £146 but its been 15 days and I still haven't heared anything from them. What should I do now? I still have the cheque and haven't cashed it yet just to be in the safe side.
Any input will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
  • hi,

I wrote to egg in February asking for copy statemtents to show my charges over the past 6 yrs... i included a cheque for £10 as they requested but it took them over 100 days to send me my statements!! i was told it should be no more than 40 days??

i have now asked for my charges back (using a template letter) expecting a reply within 14 days (as per template) but egg have told me that they have up to 8weeks to respond

can anyone tell me if this is correct??? i'm really sick of chasing egg as they (apparently) not received my letters about 5 times

    thanks

8 weeks until you can go to FOS - 14 days till you can put in a court claim.

Its really up to you which route you want to go :) The Templates based on going the court route.
