thanks all especially "natweststaffmember" for help earlier, I've called Halifax today asking if they've recieved my letter rejecting my offer letter of £65, and the answer is yes we have - this was 14days now - and I am hanging out for the full £544 that I'm owed - It would appear there very busy with things at the moment and cant hurry things along anymore - Is there nothing I can do? without being pushy, All contact to and from has been very polite and courtious from people at halifax
I've spoken to them twice on the phone, it now seems that they have a massive back log and havent reviewed my account since my decline letter - shall I go the next step ? thanks guys0 -
Hi Everyone,
Apologies if this question has been asked/answered and is buried in all the previous pages.
I have/had 3 accounts with MBNA can I list all these in the same letter hence only paying the one £10 charge :T
Many thanks

Hello...
Came on here re Capital One; have written to them twice and am today posting letter off to FOS.
I did come on here to ask how long FOS take to respond to a complaint, however have just seen jd87's post of 01/08/09 and am slightly concerned. I've heard through the grapevine that Capital One are some of the worst offenders, in terms of charging and refusing to pay, but soon cave in when contacted by the FSO.
So, my two questions are; 1) How long do the FOS usually take to respond to complaints and 2) Anyone know the answer to jd87's question?
Any help greatly appreciated.0 -

Hi
I'm new and in need of help please.
I am in the process of claiming back charges from Barclaycard, they seemed to charge me 2 sets of £12 on the same day, can I claim 1 set of charges back as I am only claiming for the difference?
Sorry doesnt read perfectly but quite hard to put down!!

Hi Everyone,
I feel a bit dispondent with this re-claiming lark..... I've added up everything and written here and there and so far have got.... zilch!!!
I've written to Capital One re PPI - no answer to my first letter, so have send a second!
I've written to my catalogue company and got a letter back saying they dont agree with me! So have send a 2nd letter there
I've written to a company I had a secured loan with (have now paid it off) for PPI they wrote back saying they didnt agree and I should check my paperwork. I've replied by saying I never had any paperwork from them on PPI!!
I guess what I want to ask is.... am I late on the bandwagon here? It seems really difficult to get anything back, yet they take their charges etc hastily! Do any of you think that its getting harder to re-claim due to the credit crunch and companies have changed their attitude to this???
Good luck everyone, hope you have more luck than me!Total Debt July 09 48k:( DFD 20140 -
