So should i go straight to court or threaten? Anyone else had this with EGG?0 -
thanks all especially "natweststaffmember" for help earlier, I've called Halifax today asking if they've recieved my letter rejecting my offer letter of £65, and the answer is yes we have - this was 14days now - and I am hanging out for the full £544 that I'm owed - It would appear there very busy with things at the moment and cant hurry things along anymore - Is there nothing I can do? without being pushy, All contact to and from has been very polite and courtious from people at halifax
Shall I call them again today and politely ask?0 -
I am on the process of reclaiming default charges from MBNA amounting £294.15. It took a while for them to respond but I waited anyway b'coz they did sent a letter saying when will it be looked at so I did. Now after 3 weeks of wait I recieved a letter from them stating that all their charges are fair and on the agreement but offering me £104 as a matterof goodwill. I wanted the whole amount so I sent the 2nd letter threatening to go to court but put without prejudice will accept £250. Today I recieved another letter from them with a cheque £104 enclosed. Can I actually accept this cheque without compromising my claim of at least £250?

Hi,
Just a wee bit of advice is needed, I have just claimed for my C/C charges for two Lloyds TSB accounts one which has now expired. The total amount plus interest amounting to £268.99
I have just recieved a letter for them stating they are willing to pay the difference of £87.38 plus interest which they have automatically creited to the account without any acceptance from me. I wish to press them further for the full amount, I was hoping to get people's experience of doing this with Lloyds and which approach I should take. Does the FOS look favourably on claims for their £12 guideline charge?

Hi,
I am quite new to this reclaiming lark. I claimed £246 back last month from Beneficial (HFC), including interest, and they agreed to pay by return of post. Apparently this was because I was a 'valued customer' (which they didn't say 6 months ago when they tried to take out a CCJ!!!!!).
However, I submitted a claim for £433 to Egg and they have refused twice offering a mere £52 sending me reams of paper about what wonderful people they are when it comes to charges ..... anyone had success with Egg?
Also I sent a data request off to Goldfish seven weeks ago - and a reminder - about two accounts I used to have with them (one formerly Morgan Stanley) and the silence has been defeaning? Any experiences/suggestions with Goldfish would be welcome!0 -
When I claimed from Egg it took 3 letters for them to repay all credit card charges. No court and no FOS.DS1 12/10/04

How are people doing with Capital One at the moment? I'm trying to claim back a small amount. Letters back and forth but they are flat refusing to pay so I've sent off my FOS complaint form today. I've read that people haven't had any joy with the FOS for Capital One, but how can this be so? If they don't pay then won't the FOS start a formal investigation against them or something?0
