Okay thanks. Just to double-check what you mean, I can only claim charges back from up to six years ago, correct? I only ask because the template letter uses the phrase "repay all the [fees] that have been applied to my account" which isn't entirely true if you can can only go back six years.0

a) DPA SAR asking for a list of charges incurred, in which case they have 40 days to respond
b) You know what the charges were and sent a preliminary letter asking dfor refund, in which case send the LBA. Step 3 here:

Just wanted to say how helpful I found the FOS office this morning. Massive relief just from speaking to a human being (non Lloyds employee) about our charges.
We have been accumulating charges (which lead to overlimit fees) for over a year, since we asked Lloyds to change our statement date and they didn't. Despite writing them twice (they ignored both letters) and numerous phone calls asking for charges to be refunded and statement date to be moved, just got the runaround for a year.
THen got a letter in Jan saying they HAD said they'd move our payment date and were sorry they HADn't but wouldn't refund any charges
- got 'goodwill' :rotfl: payment of £25!
We haven't missed any payments but have for a year, been charged a late payment fee every month as we are paying TOO EARLY each month (because they won't move our statement date).
FOS now 'escalating the complaint' so fingers crossed. Just wanted to let others know they will take this seriously in case anyone else is in same position. Best wishes to all, Jill0 -
HI
I Started me Claim against MBNA abut 8 weeks ago, got a letter in June saying they would look into my complaint and get back to me by the 14th July, 14th came and no letter so sent my 3rd letter saying that I want all my money back (£933) within 14 days or I will take it further, I sent this on the 15th.
I got a letter today dated the 15th from MBNA with a cheque for £200 saying that this is all they will give me. I am pushing for the full amount as I sent a letter on the 15th and they sent me a letter on the same date should I see what reply I get from the letter I sent or should I bank this cheque and send thema letter saying I still want the rest of my cash.
Hope the above makes sense

two choices; one last chance to pay up or threaten them with court and follow up
OR Take them to the FOS today. Explain exactly the fact that you are reclaiming credit card charges, give them a schedule of the charges plus interest and let them deal with Cap One0 -
I sent a letter to Capital One to claim £675 in fees in Feb 2008, they sent me a cheque for £140 a few weeks later which I cashed. Does anyone know if it's possible to claim the difference (in light of the success stories on here I wish I'd held off intially)?
Thanks0 -
