I to have been contacted by a company making the same claim. If I pay £850.00 plus vat (£1000.00) up front them can make a claim against your credit card companies. This is because they increased your balance without your permission, which is in contravention of the small print. They say you can add this onto your credit card and then claim this amount back when they have won your case for you (fully refunded if no case). So add £1000.00 more debt plus interest as this can take up to 6 months to settle, sounds like a good way to get deeper into debt to me. Whose to say that its a scam and they run off with your money? Link below to their web page http://www.glovistared-esc.com/index.html
I don't know if it is true but I have another link to a government web page

All sounds to good to be true but as Martin says what is to good to be true isn't.0 -
Hi
This is my first post. I just want to know if anybody has successfully claimed late penalty charges for GBP12. I know it is still deemed unfair and unlawful but if there is any success, I would appreciate to have a copy of the letter to start my "hunt".
Many thanks
hi,i have just had a great result from b/c regarding £12 charges...i was requesting £690 and initially offered £165 which i accepted without prejudice..told them i would still pursue for the balance..3 weeks later, full balance credited to my card...so don,t give up and fight to the end..good luck!0 -

Argh!!
Ok
Thing's been busy on my end for the past 2 months,
Temp jobs and temp relocation means i've totally forgotten about the request i put in to EGG for a copy of my statements!
Put in for the info in the 15th of DECEMBER!! Expected to hear back by at least the 14th of January.
Just realized I've NOT heard back from them! I was hoping to get all this sorted out before my Birthday but that's not going to happen!
I now need to find the Receipt for the postal order I sent and get Royal Mail to check to see if it's been cashed or not!
Hopefully I'll get this sorted out in the next month!!Laters

Hi
I'm trying to reclaim charges from a store card but im not sure what im entitled too since they haven't charged me one fee of £35 for example, they've charged two lots of 20 "arrears fee" and a ten pound "administration fee" (for writing me a poxy letter!) so the total charges in a single statement were up to £50.
Would this be seen as a £50 charge for which I could get £38 back (minus the 12 acceptable) or would it be seen as separate so I could get two lots of £8 back for each £20 charge and nothing for the £10 charge. This seems unreasonable to me and slightly crafty on the store cards part
Where do I stand? I am expecting them to offer me a lower settlement on this basis and want to be prepared with a response.
Also - can you reclaim charges with mail order accounts? i.e. littlewoods etc.
Thanks x0 -
So what happens to the money if someone claims back all those years say from 2007 and are charged from 2007 onwards?0
