Credit Card Reclaiming Discussion

Dear forum, we are first time users and are looking for advice/your views. We recently contacted a finance claims checker service who are asking for £295 up front. Apparently if you applied for a credit card before 2007 the T&C were based on a 1974 act? and this company are saying they can wipe the debt free - seems to good to be true, any thoughts. Does anyone know of a precedent for reclaiming excessive credit card interest?
For example credit card interest has typically been 3 or 4 times higher than the standard interest rate at any one time.0 -
Can anyone help with details of how to contact Morgan Stanley, they seem to have merged with another, I would like to try and claim charges
Have maybe not looked in the right place but cant see it mentioned anywhere on this website
Many Thanks0 -

Hi guys i keep checking this thread every day looking for something from lloydstsb but i seem to see every bank but lol. I am just starting and have just sent my first letter under the financial hardship rules as i have lost my job and would love to see somebody tell me that they have had some luck with lloydstsb lately.
Does anybody know how they compare to the other banks in returning all the money they stole off me? It's over £4000 over the 6 years!
Thnx0 -

Hi as far as I know you can still claim, but the money reclaimed has to go towards your DMP, if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will tell you differently HTHSparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Yes you can, go for it!! Anything refunded will normally be credited to your account therefore reducing the debt with that particular creditor (Halifax have just refunded my credit card charges and it's halved the amount I owe to them). Let your DMP provider know when the balance reduces so they can adjust the pro rata payments to all your lenders.DWF Nerd number 1118LBM 13/01/2009, debts £29100.00 appx.
