hi everyone!just recieved a letter from 2 g e cards- drothy perkins and new look. both of them only have a couple of charges, but both of them state that they do not have records of so many months-2 months on one and 5 months on another. They put in the letter that this will be taken into consideration when making any calculations where applicable. but what do i write back to them? how do i know how much to apply for?

Where do I start about GE Money!! I also got the same letter, sounds like word for word except I was missing about two and a half years of charges. My question was the same - how do I know how much to claim? So I wrote to GE clarifying the date my account was opened, dates I should have etc. I also complained that they accepted the £10 charge I sent and the information they provided was not fit for purpose blah blah, will complain to FOS unless info received etc. I have now received a letter saying that they have registered my complaint and they aim to reply within eight weeks:mad: . My blood is now at boiling point and I am still no nearer to even getting the information to just start the process of claiming back the enormous amount of charges they have conned out of me. I have no doubt that this is a deliberate and evasive delaying tactic by licensed bandits and it has made me determined to see it through to the end even if that means court action!.

Hi All, Just a quick question. I had a credit card with Goldfish up until 2005 and was paying hefty charges on it up until 2005 when I re-mortgaged and settled the account in full (basically to get the debt recovery agency off my back, who were ringing and door knocking incessently). I now realise I can claim these charges back but have discovered that "Goldfish" no longer exists....when I typed it into an internet search engine I was directed to Barclaycard. Do I claim from Barclaycard or does someone have an address for Goldfish that I can write to to request statements/refunds etc??

Any info would be very much appreciated as I reckon they owe me thousands!!!

Hi All,

Just to let you know that I called up Halifax to ask for last 6 years worth of statements for my CC, and they have agreed to send them out without charge, so that's £10 saved already!!

Fingers crossed that I will get some of my charges back!

Started my claim against SkyCard(Barclay Card) on 5/11/08. Asked for them to pay £617 plus £74.80 Interest. Received usual response, charges were fair. All the charges were £12. Send final letter and got final response saying NO I would not be getting anything. Sent of paperwork to Fin Omb 16/11/08. Received letter today from Fin Omb saying 'We have heard back from the bank. It says it does not accept its charges are unlawful or unfair. But following our intervention it has told us it would prefer to settle the complaint as an alternative to a formal investigation' . Offering me £617 plus £49.36 interest........RESULT....Thanks moneysaving expert ...fantastic result!!!

I have sent my first letter today to RBS requesting statements. Anyone had any luck with them? I have also got my letter ready to send to Amazon credit card (Halifax) again any tips. Do both these companies charge for the statements, I have sent £10 cheques with both letters.

hi all...i,m a newbie..i have sent off 2 claims to barclaycard ...one claim is for
£690{including interest} and second ne is for £1190{including interest} most of these charges are for amounts..£12...late/exceeded limit,
has anyone had their charges for £12 amounts reclaimed?
i would be very interested for any replies..thanks

Yes you can, it does not matter where you moved too, people move around, as long as you can still locate the accounts i.e remember the banks and a few details they will be able to trace your account.
