Just had supper, the friend we were going to house sit for has a lung infection, so is not going away, but still wants us to go over......OH decided that his back was so bad he had to retire to bed, but was well enough to eat his supper and also do the washing up!!!!! and he wonders why I do not take him seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know he has a very low threashold to pain what to me would just be a nagging ache to him is a major pain.......not a happy situation for me to be in, I could crown him at times................but I have to bite my tongue and count to 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He takes solpadol for his spondylosis, so I told him to up them to 8 a day for now....and rub his back and leg with deep freeze........I am going to try and get him in the bath later, even of he only stands up, I can swill him down with warm water which might help..........hot things are not the answer, we need to shrink the nerves, not bring more blood into them, so cold not heat.........

Looks like I shall have two invalids to look after, my friend is not the best of patients..........she hates being ill, but this infection has taken her right down. I have to go to Stratford to pick up some music for her daughters wedding next month.......not sure how much the stress of arranging this is affecting her as well...........we will see tomorrow when we get there...... keep thinking of me, I am going to need some positive thoughts believe me!!!!!

I have to sort out a new lap top for OH, our old one is now very rocky, it did not help thet I dropped it last week!!!!! he will have to soldier on with it for now, I need at least £350 to buy one for him even through quidco........but I must build up the savings account to £500 before I sort him out.

Spag bol was great, need to sort out some veg to take with me tomorrow, and also some other bits and bobs.........no need to take any wine, my friend keeps a very good cellar................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hello again,

So excited - i have won a laptop:j !!!!! They rang today, did give me a bit of a scare when they said 'oh, so you wont be able to collect it' - i wouldve, im sure a laptop is worth a trip to Wolverhampton - and after a little pause, she asked me for my address and said she would try to post it tonight!!! A win like this makes the fact i sit here all evening entering competitions (i prob enter about 80 a day!!!) worth it - i have nothing else to do, so its def worth my time.

Will be speaking to the mum of the LO i was going to look after on Thursday, will explain that i can help in the short term, but long term i cant - i dont really want to explain why, how do you say you are worried her drug dealing, violent ex partner might turn up on your doorstep   luckily i can use the fact that the LO i have for a couple of hours a week at the mo (to get used to me before mum goes back to work) ive promised his mum the hours she needs when she goes back, and i cant have 2 under 1. I do know another childminder who prob has a place - so i might suggest she try her, and in the meantime i will look after him while she sorts any arrangements out.

My head is pounding, i think the lack of sleep is catching me up again - will def be having an early night tonight, dont think there is anything on the tv tonight that i really want to watch, so will go up early and read a bit, hopefully that might help me drift off.

twink - glad kyle is having a lovely time

((HUGS)) to all those feeling down xxx

Im off for a bath and hairwash - have a lovely evening everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You mentioned two of my favourite authors - you might also enjoy books by Jeffery Deaver, the "hit man books by Lawrence Block, the "Parker" books by Richard Stark and books by John Sandford or James Patterson.

Went out in the rain this afternoon to get some presents at Boots as I thought triple points were still on - they finished yesterday! GRH!!! They did have three for two on some nice gifts for Christmas though!

WH Smiths has three for two offers on so got some books ready for Christmas pressies!

DDs cooked tea as I was out and am very impressed - lovely to have food cooked for us - that I have not had to plan.

I have been reading your blog but did not realise that you could post comments on it so have just been mentioning the odd thing on here instead.

    Tired Mum

Big hug and hope things get sorted out as it sounds miserable.

Peem, thanks for the link to the monkey pattern, can't wait to get started!:D

((((((hugs))))) tired mum. No words of wisdom, I'm afraid, just hope you can speak to DH and sort something out.

Aussie, now why would your neighbour think that hamper was so *you*:p :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Still at least you're sorted if your period starts tomorrow and you get a headache:rotfl:

It's finally stopped raining Shez!;) Washing never got out to be taken in. Afraid the TD has been working overtime. Good job my last leccy bill showed me in credit, 'cos I've used a lot today:o

Off for a wander round the boards.

    CMxx

Forgot to say, glad it was a laptop catowen! I'd thought you were lucky with your wins, but if you enter that many comps, you are working so hard you should win:rotfl: :T :D

    Evening all,

Back at midnight last night.....one of the shortest weeks I've ever spent....temperature around 30c, they haven't had more than a few showers since April...Did a fair bit of walking but also started a hunt for new places to eat...found a wonderful agriturismo on Sunday, where for €27 each we had 2 litres of wine and all the food we could eat in all sorts of variety. Anyone ever going to Italy should try the agriturismo system..., they are a kind of farmhouse restaurant serving home produced products, there is no menu, just whatever is plentiful and the value is generally terrific...we would have paid more here for the wine than we did for the whole lot!

Sorry to see that so many are not feeling great, through illness or unhappiness...hugs to you all

:bdaycake: :bdaycake: I know that there were two birthdays....can't remember whose now, so hope that you had a lovely day

Still feeling a little jet-lagged or whatever the term is for such a short distance, so have done little to-day....defrosted fish for dinner to discover that there were about a dozen mackerel fillets in other fridge, DS3 was fishing at weekend...had to cook them they will be nice cold with lots of lemon and a salad at lunchtime tomorrow...DD4 had 4 when she came from college! DGS2 wants 'pisghetti' for dinner to-morrow as I brought home some of his favourite 'smelly' cheese (Parmesan).

Hugs to all in need or want...will get to reading what I've missed to-morrow I hope

    Sleep well
