    Morning.....

It's tippling down here and has been all night.
Next door having a row, outside their front door woke me up at 2ish and then I lay there listening to the rain...we really will have to get the guttering fixed. I eventually gave up and got up at 5.30, the cat wanted breakfast.

Hugs to the poorlies and congrats to ones with bumps.

Hardup Hester - have you considered the Civil Service. I work for the MOJ and they take on all ages - they expect at least 2 years service off you so you should be alright if you need work for an extra couple of years. Our department have recently taken on an Usher who is 61 and wants to work for 4 years. x

    Hello and good morning everybody

Hope you're all well and ((((((((hugs)))))))) to all who aren't - or just plain need one!

Yesterday's scouse was yet another SC success - especially with the addition of dumplings in it! AND for the first time I managed to get to the leftovers before OH - now decanted into a container and frozen for another day. There's enough for two more servings in there :T .

I think it will be belly pork for tea tonight - with mashed pots and broccoli. OH bought broccoli for sunday lunch while at local car boot sale on sunday but it was bogof - so finished up with twice as much as we needed. But broccoli being what it is, doesn't have a very good shelf life. In true OS style, I'll steam it over the potatoes while cooking - and the belly pork can be grilled. The bp has been lurking for a while in the freezer, so this is part of my 'empty the freezer' effort!

My work laptop did something strange yesterday so have to wait for a kind man to arrive from Head Office IT Department to take it away for a couple of days, plus I've got a Team Meeting this afternoon - that should keep me out of mischief for the day!

I've looked around on here briefly, but haven't seen any mention of our 'beloved guru' on TV last night. Don't say nobody knew he was on - or at least caught the programme adcidentally. He was demonstrating his 'downshift challenge' to a family of 'brandies'! PLEASE tell me somebody else saw it - or I'll think I dozed off and dreamt it  . Can't have myself dreaming in MSE now!!!!!

Be back again later, for another read and post if I can find the time

    Ollie xx

    Morning All

Yes Olliebeak I saw some of it.
Many Happy Returns to Penguin83 & LJM
Mrs Mix - hope you feel better soon.
Pink - I really do not like junior school children getting so much homework, we have a set time and when its reached thats it.

Overcast here at the moment but no rain as yet. Hope it holds off as have a golf lesson later, OH and I are going to have lunch at the golf club first - they do lovely food and is quite reasonable.

In the office this morning, need to loads of letters though cant post them yet. Didnt get any ironing done last night so hopefully will later.

Need to put bm on in a min, empty dw and clean kitchen. HM leek & potato soup tonight.

Off to finish coffee and have a surf.
    Have a good one.

  • Morning Guys!

Happy Birthdays to the "older" people today:D

Feeling OK today...but wont say much else about that as its tempting fate!!

Sister by the sound of it already has another person in line. I am fuming to say the least, but what can I do:confused: He is nearly 20 yrs older than her and the local postie:eek:     Told her exactly what I thought about it all last night and asked if she had been having an affair with him which she denied but they had told each other months ago how they felt about each other:mad: ...I said that she may as well of had an affair then! Havent met him yet and dont want too TBH. Had to step in yesterday morning as she lost it abit with older boy and told her to go and have a fag. He is disabled though and it hit me how much pressure she is under, but surely she doesnt need a bloke to get on with life abit:confused: ....ohh...I dont know!

The council called me yesterday about the extra hours I requested and they have OK'd it without an assessment, so thats good news. It means OH can chill abit and someone else can help me. Also having a wheelchair assessment for a manual chair as I dont have the energy to use my electric one ATM. I am so grateful for all help I receive and have started to accept more help as I can see mine and OH's relationship suffering otherwise and I would hate that to happen. I have even thought about a day centre to give OH more of a break, but I think it would do my head in.

Anyway, plans today are GP with sister and helping her with some forms etc....bloomin postal strike is delaying everything. I have 6 parcels at home that need posting!

Quidco paid out £20 yesterday:D and I sold another £21 on Amazon and £44 on Ebay:j :j :j ...still making money and not even at home..lol.

Right, better go. Hugs to all.

    PP
    xx
