Add your feedback on energy supplier Eversmart Energy

You should have been notified that your deal was coming to an end between 42 and 49 days before 1st May.
Most switches take around three week which includes the 14 day cooling off period so you could initiate your switch when ever you want to, especially if you don't have any exit fees.
It would be a good idea to ensure that your meter readings are up to date and that you've downloaded any statements or bills (both present and previous) so that you've got records of you account status before they close your account and it's all gone forever.
Make sure you keep them for at least a couple of years - especially the final one - just in case they go bust and administrators start sniffing around sometime in the future.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Same here. With this company you have to be proactive every step of the way. Mine finishes on 24 April and already lined to transfer to Symbio and that will go live on the 25 April. No doubt I will need to remind Eversmart of the promised £20 bonus.0 -

Is there any penalty for a company that doesn't do that?0 -
Probably not - there's not a lot in the way of any sort of penalties for most energy company "misdemeanours".
You have to fight every step of the way so IMO it's much better to be proactive and sort it out yourself rather than being caught out and whinging about it when it all goes wrong.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
they have changed / updated web site since the weekend. can not log in, password reset does not work. in process of switching away from them as at end of deal, have had no notification of it from them as others said. found web site very basic, bills are very basic also. When first switched to them did not get any bills had to ask to get billing. They have objected to my switch i expect as in debt at moment even though i pay direct debit. Going have to wait until weekend to call them (as they close at 6pm ) to hopefully get it sorted?0

I have today emailed OFGEM (sorry about the typing error yesterday saying OFCOM) makng a complaint.
OFGEM can impose penalties if a supplier is not meeting the rules but it is a long winded process, the question in my mind is are they on the way out? Computer down for so long suggests more than a simple IT fault.0 -
Initiated switch back to Bulb, Eversmart tariff ends 23 April after digging out sign up Email, left it a bit too late or does the switch lock you into the Eversmart tarrif until switch happens ?0
