Add your feedback on energy supplier Eversmart Energy

I switched to Eversmart this time last year. There was no problem switching, and no problem since. Just friendly helpful service. Their billing is also very easy to understand. That is why I'm staying with them for the next year.
My deal finishes on the 24 April and they have never caused any issues for me except for their website not always working. I highly recommend them. However will be leaving them because I have found a more competitive price.0 -

The original estimate was based on the usage numbers from the previous supplier.0 -
I took a chance and signed up in April 2018 as the price was competitive but wish i hadn't.
The transfer went through smoothly but it wasn't until Feb 2019 that I received my first invoice, made my first payment and had the smart meter fitted which was promised in the Welcome Pack.
Can never get through on the phone, website is poor and often not working and was only able to get any response through persistent emailing.
I'm off as soon as my contract is up0 -
My previous dispute with Eversmart in November, where they decided that my fixed term tariff was actually variable, was resolved by the ombudsman ruling in my favour and the company refunding me, albeit not without palpable hesitation as they "considered all options" of executing a wire transfer to my account for a while.
However, this was not the end of it. On 4 April, I received a letter dated 31 March saying that my prices are increasing effective 1 April.- Not only are they modifying my "fixed" tariff AGAIN...
- not only are they giving me MINUS THREE DAYS notice instead of the PLUS THIRTY that is required of them...
- but also they're LYING about the price change, because, having just checked my electricity meter, my unit price in fact rose to 17.64p instead of the 16.18p that their letter mentions.
And to top it all off, on 2 April an email from them landed in my inbox offering me £10 energy credit if I leave a five-star review for them on Trustpilot. 36 hours after reporting this to Trustpilot, five-star reviews on their page keep flowing in! The gall
My advice to anyone dealing with them?- DO NOT trust a word they say.
- CHECK your bills, calculator in hand, down to the last penny.
- IF YOU HAVE a prepayment meter, learn how to read off the actual price you're being charged.
I have to say there is some improvement from their last illegal price increase, when they didn't send any communication AT ALL and it was just me tinkering with the meter that made me notice. :T
Their automated system promises a reply within 5 days. When I eventually receive it after two weeks, I might report them to Action Fraud.0 -
Both the old and new log in pages working now.
I couldn't get in yesterday or today. Phoned them (30 minute wait, so requested a call back). They called back after 10 minutes - apparently the portal is down again and expected to be for another week.
Dunno what they are up to but it would probably be OK if they stopped faffing about with it.
Gave them my meter reading, but dunno when I'll see a bill if I cant log in. That's why I keep my own records and download my monthly bill/statement at the first opportunity after they are issued - just in case they all get lost.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I most be in the minority because I have logged on yesterday and this am and no issues at all. Also I notice when you click on the tab for invoices its really quick now.
Also I rang them last week and explained I was leaving them after my fix finishes and requested they did not action the dd again as the account was in credit. They were happy to oblige.
Sorry to be leaving them but on price only.0 -
I've just logged in and all seems to be working OK.
It certainly seems to be a lot quicker and I can see and download all my statements
I'm not due to submit my next reading until 7th, so we'll see what happens then.0 -
