If 7th is your normal date then today, 5th, is the submission date as 7th is on a non working day - I figured out their system !

You'd have thought that in this age of computers it really wouldn't make any difference whether it was a working day or not the computer should be able to do it's thing 24/7.

I can't honestly believe that Eversmart or anyone else still has a little gnome with a quill pen transcribing the input to a big ledger and who needs Saturdays & Sundays off

To keep the gnome happy, I've submitted it today. When I have submitted a bit early in the past, they just estimate the odd couple of days, so the bill is not far out.

My submission day is the 6th and I've just tried logging-in to submit the readings but it won't accept my password - the same that I've used many times. And no, I don't have caps lock on.

I tried resetting the password, twice, but it still fails.

I've sent them an email with my readings and asked how my log-in can problem can be solved. I don't have much hope that this will be responded to.

Now I see, from earlier posts, that I should have done this yesterday, 'cos their system doesn't like weekends!

I'm not too worried - I keep all my readings in a spreadsheet and know what my bill should be.

I'm hoping that August 20th, when my deal with them ends, comes soon, although I'll be sad to loose the cheap energy.

My deal also ends on August 20th and I'm more than happy to put up with a bit of pain to save over £120 a year on my leccy bill, coz that's what the next cheapest will cost me.

TBH none of the cheaper suppliers are covering themselves in glory at the moment but I'm not prepared to pay several hundred a year more for the same energy and may still end up with a similar problem with one of the so called better companies.

In fact the company I had most problems with was Scottish Power, they kept changing my DD's and took over 10 weeks to pay back the overpayments (which wouldn't have happened if they'd left the DD's alone)

I keep a close eye on my own readings, billing and statements and check that they are in-line with my forecasts so I'm not all that bothered so long as they don't start faffing about with my DD's - which they haven't so far.

I manage to run my account it with a small debit on my bill until it balances when I get close to my contract end date so there shouldn't be much in the way of either under or over payments, usually around £20 or so.

Switch went well, first few months went well, then 3 months in, they stopped responding to emails and the 1 in 10 emails they do respond to takes 2 weeks and then they don't answer the questions you are asking in the email. Responses are as though the first line of the email has been read and replied to and then message is deleted.

You cant enter readings on website if you have an eco7 meter with 2 readings, phoning the company is min 30 minute hold time, 50 minutes plus most times.

No point entering a chart with them on facebook, you send your message, they then respond 24 hours later and if you don't answer that response with 2 minutes, you get the message "thanks for contacting us and goodbye". It is like they are expecting you to be sat at the computer for the 24 hours it takes them to respond so you can respond back immediately.

    Avoid at all costs.

I've had a response to my email, sent to Eversmart on Saturday last, about the problem logging on.

They say "At present our website and portal are not functioning" and if anyone needs help, they suggest people should contact them by email or live chat on their website. They have added my readings to my account.

They contacted me quickly, which is a vast improvement on past experience.

Surprisingly, when I've phoned them and got the message that they are taking ages to respond but would you like a call back - they always have and usually within about half an hour.

It would be easier if they just sorted out their website, it would save both them and us a lot of aggro, especially those of us who generally have it all under control and really just want to get on with sending in readings and downloading bills and statements.
Leave the problems to those who can't sort them out themselves

I have been trying since 31st and keep being told "invalid username and password". its not - emailed them and got this "Hi, so sorry about the delay, we are currently experiencing some difficulties with our website which is affecting a lot of our customers. If you would like to know anything regarding your account then please just ask me and I will help"

Simple really I would like to access my account.

OK the came up with the best price when I joined and according the Energy Club they are still the cheapest (For Me) but that is no good when I cannot get online to them. As I said in my email to them I have more importnt things to do than spend 20/30/40/50 etc minutes waiting to talk to someone.

I did eventually manage to talk to someone who said that they would email people when they were back online. Perhaps OFCOM might have more luck
