I really really hope the sellers solicitor have now received the signed documents, think it’s to early to start chasing as the post may not been delivered yet, I just need to know though 😂🤯😂🤯
So much of house buying is just waiting for something to happen. It is very frustrating!
First and last time, I never want to do this again 😂 we seem so close yet so far away 🤯🤔
  • I've got everything crossed for exchanging this week, don't think I can take all the messing around for much longer! Good luck everyone!
House sale/purchase progress (we're selling our rental property and currently living in rented so no pressure to complete both on the same day).

2/6 - Accepted offer on our house.

15/6 - AIP in place with Halifax
18/6 - Offer accepted on our dream home!
    19/6 - Solicitors instructed
23/6 - Broker applied for AIP with Nationwide to allow us 23 years due to hubby's age - AIP referred!
    24/6 - AIP approved
5/7 - Full application finally in with Nationwide & valuation booked within 2 hours
    6/7 - Valuation
12-13/7 - Hard credit searches on both of us with TransUnion (Credit Karma)
    13/7 Hard search Equifax (ClearScore)
14/7 Proof of deposit requested in a different format
19/7 Gifted deposit form requested for non-sale part of the deposit - funds were from some inheritance, not gifted - deed of variation sent.
2/8 Text and email saying offer issued, details to follow in the post!

    21/9 Exchanged on both properties
    24/9 Completed on sale
14/10 Due to complete on purchase

  • I genuinely hope that everyone has a productive week this week !

@Cookie211 its got to happen this week, I dont think your nerves can take much more :disappointed:

@WorriedKirkels its coming now few more days !

    @clare19811 good luck !!

I am desperately trying to get school places for the kids to no avail :(
  • So after our vendor pulled out of the sale on Monday, they have now resisted the house for £25K more!!!! I think they wanted to do this to us all along!!! The delay caused by our buyer’s solicitor and lender just gave them the excuse to justify this course of action. It’s so very annoying of them to do it four days from exchange though. I offered full asking price when it was listed so it wasn’t like I tried to cheat them in any way. Needless to say we will not be pursuing purchase of their property at any price!!! Congrats to those of you who have either exchanged or completed!!!!
Thats a really poopy thing to do !!

There should be some type of caveat when listing a house that if you pull out to list it for dearer, then you incur a monetary charge for doing it or paying the other persons legal fees.
Agreed! All we’re left with now is a big conveyancing bill!!!!
Takes the mick, They should be presented with that !!

I hope it all goes boobs up for them !

Oh no, I'm so sorry - that's absolutely terrible! I know part of selling your house is about making money, but seeing things like that makes me so sad. It's also meant to be your home, and someone else's future home!

There really should be some protections for buyers for these sorts of situation, because it's totally unfair to string someone along and have them spend money on the process for them to decide suddenly they'd actually like more money. Like you said, it sounds like they were just looking for an excuse. Fingers crossed you'll find something better being sold by less selfish people soon!
