anyone else who had to back out of a purchase due to managing agents not responding to EA or Vendor for long periods?
wondering how many people been through that and any advise?1 -
So after our vendor pulled out of the sale on Monday, they have now resisted the house for £25K more!!!! I think they wanted to do this to us all along!!! The delay caused by our buyer’s solicitor and lender just gave them the excuse to justify this course of action. It’s so very annoying of them to do it four days from exchange though. I offered full asking price when it was listed so it wasn’t like I tried to cheat them in any way. Needless to say we will not be pursuing purchase of their property at any price!!! Congrats to those of you who have either exchanged or completed!!!!0

There should be some type of caveat when listing a house that if you pull out to list it for dearer, then you incur a monetary charge for doing it or paying the other persons legal fees.2 -

I'm feeling frustrated by it being a bank holiday today... I so want things to be moving.
Our actual solicitor is back tomorrow so I'm hoping there will be a bit of a shift there, but we heard nothing at all from our solicitors last week, and I have no idea if the answers to enquiries were passed over on Monday like they should have been or if anything came back. And we're still getting a lot of pressure from up the chain about what is happening with our buyer's mortgage offer etc, which nobody seems to know...
Frustrating!0 -
