Over the weekend we found out that the gas needs checking as it hasn’t been done since they moved in. So no there’s going to be another delay, I don’t have a clue how long one of those could take!0

@baileykxo - urgh, what a pain! That's definitely the most frustrating thing. Delays for good reasons are annoying but necessary. But when you find out it's just because people can't be bothered to answer a question or send a document it's just so disheartening. Our buyer came again this weekend and we’re still excited so that’s calmed some of my anxiety.
My vendors EA also rang me to say they have definitely found somewhere but are now moving out as they can stay with family. Told the EA that the vendors solicitor is not responding to enquiries (& when they do they don’t give full info/evidence), hoping they can prompt as it the EA own solicitors -hmmm!
So everyone has their mortgage offers, draft contracts reviewed, searches for us and my buyers buyer received. Just our buyer waiting on searches and we’ve responded to initial enqueries. Awaiting full responses to our onward purchase as noted above.
Aiming for mid September completion - feels doable to me but people keep warning me it might be too soon. Just worried as our buyers buyer is FTB who will have been waiting 4 months by then. Eek!Does anyone have any views on whether the timescales it’s doable? 😊0 -
