I'm excited that we might almost be there now, but I'm also having a bit of a wobble because I've discovered after reading through some documents related to enquiries that the probate valuation for the house we're buying was around 30k lower than our agreed purchase price. Does anyone know if it's uncommon for there to be such a big discrepancy?0 -
I exchanged and completed today7

Congratulations to every one who exchanged/ completed today. We also completed. We got the call at 10.30am to say we have completed and we can pick the keys up. We arrived at the house at about 12. We wasn't moving in today as we are decorating it etc before we move in. Anyway i have literally just got home now been there all day painting and cleaning. Cant wait to properly move in. 17 weeks since offer accepted. Originally we wanted to be in before the kids broke up from school. So we could of done it up whilst they was at school as we have 6 kids. We have bought a 6 bed house so you can only imagine we have our work cut out. We are hiring a decorator to wallpaper but trying to get cost down by us doing the painting. Anyway good luck everyone. It was definitely worth the wait.5
