Exchanged this afternoon, complete 5th August.Better start packing. . .I've exchanged too, completion on 16th August!!Congrats @geostar37 and everyone else who's finally made it today. A large gin is on the cards for me tonight 🥂🥂 I've also managed to secure a rental today so it's been all go.Good luck to those still waiting and feeling the strain and frustration. You will get there and it will be worth it
I can echo the words above - the strain can be unbearable at times but when you finally get there in the end (even if it takes many twists and turns) it is all worth it.

Congrats @geostar37 and @flyingv!!! You're in the home stretch now and then you can enjoy your new home!
Update on ours - we've raised some concerns over spray foam insulation in the roof. The sellers had committed to removing it when we put in our offer, but our survey raised concerns over rotten wood caused by it that could mean a whole re-roof. Luckily my partner's father is an Architectural Technologist, so we've suggested a solution to inspect the wood before the entire insulation is removed. Now just waiting for the okay from the sellers to access the property.
Honestly, as long as the roof can wait until next year to fix, it's not a deal-breaker for us, but I don't feel comfortable signing anything until we know what we're getting into. So looks like we're back on hold for a while.10th June - DIP submitted

Now we want the house and we really aren't bothered but the bank has told us to reconsider our offer. So I have contacted the agents today and sent them the report, they have gone back to the bank vendor (repossession) and offered them a more reasonable amount as it is cause the same issues for anyone who goes after it.
We want this house so i'm happy if they can get anything off it and if not well we will still agree to buying it, Dont ask dont get in this case.0 -
