Saturday pleasures,
A terrible night sleep wise so good to have a lie-in.
Got over to see the beautiful grey one, she had pulled off shoe in the field so no work for Missy, gave her a good groom and put her back out. With the wet weather the ground gets sticky and then the perfect storm of a stuck foot and a back one catching the heel, pleasure was I found the shoe with nails still attached.
Drove home the long way round and visited tack shop for some new overreach boots, my girlie wears then for turnout and hers had split so wonder if had contributed to shoe loss. Had a chat with friend who works in shop and she said how busy she had been.
Capt S had spent his morning clearing up leaves and tidying garden, looked good,

2. Did the shopping, fridge is full again
3. writing is slowly improving
4. cooked a gin soaked gooseberries and coconut low carb cake and lentil shepherd's pie
5. Watched a good film on Amazon (I know) prime - The Upside.
And yesterday
1. Trying to entertain the MiL and stop her from getting maudlin so went to a garden centre to look for a bee hotel for the garden (obvs). they are all too small so need to keep looking
2. had a nice cappuccino in the caf! there
3. Put the Christmas tree up - loves my decorations I do..
4. OH and MiL went to his concert. I don't go because OH knows i'll hate it and it's quite expensive :rotfl: so I watched the final 2 episodes of The Crown.
Have a nice day all - i'm having a little quiet time just me and my treeI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Morning all
Well wishes to those that are poorly.
Mum phoned on Friday night to announce that she was coming up with my two nieces. They live about 2 hours away.
So, lots of lovely kisses and cuddles and mirth. They are so funny.
It was great seeing my Mum. She is so busy with her 3 generational house that I rarely get any time with her. Even phone conversations are short because invariably she is busy or tired so seeing her was great.
My parents are marvels. My Dad is 80 in a few weeks and he still works, takes children to school etc. He says it's what keeps him alive. And I agree.
We went to a Carvery, mainly because money is tight and the food is good. And it was.
I did something very MSE. For the first time ever I took a Tupperware box with me ostensibly to gather our left over meat for Tiggy. What I came home with was some Turkey for said hound and a box of Roast potatoes for my partner in crime. Both were very pleased.
I think my Mum was a little uncomfortable but it was food off our plates and would only go in the bin !
So, a good time had by all and I made 2 other beings happy....just by thinking ahead.
Have a great day,.......AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo

1. Club rugby lunch pre-match was lush, part of &'s support. 27-27, should have been our 3rd consecutive win, but at least not a loss.
2. Emporium free cappuccino when buying dear grauniad before osp 1.
3. Art Quarterly has arrived, with new Art Map2020. Really worthwhile for Museum/Exhibition entry, mostly free.
4. More Election support work amid much surprising talk over rugby lunch table. Heartening, but on verra.
Will be truly praying in Church at 11.
5. For the away bops, Lord Raffles, and all lurkers here. This one requires deep consideration:
