mhags you must be a bit further north than us. tomorrow's sunrise in dundee is 8:36. i enjoyed watching it yesterday walking in - today i was on city campus and too engrossed in conversation with dd2
1) all day conference on TESTA which is about assessment and feedback. good day with free lunch :P
2) had taken empty sandwich box which i duly filled at end of lunch - cheese and ham toasties
3) bus up to medical school for a meeting at which there were far too many mince pies so brought home some of those too
4) gbf picked me up, back to walk the dogs and have reheated toasties and mince pies then
5) live from Copelia from ROH but streaming wouldn't work so we gave up, got a refund and a free ticket each which we traded straight in for Knives Out. Very good, but late end so now in bed.
bop i don't mention the footie!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

PK hugs to you
1. Short wait for the bus. Due to temporary traffic lights it has been very late recently.
2. Caught up with all paperwork at work. It doesn't happen that often as I'm given no time to do it in.
3. Chat with a nice colleague who I hadn't seen in a while. She is frustrated with work too. The whole attitude is changing and people want to blame others for everything and take no responsibility themselves.
4. Cleared the area where the Christmas tree is going. Hopefully will put it up today.
5. The end is in sight for the washing and ironing. It's getting to more manageable levels now.0 -
Sorry to hear about your little friend PK he will be much happier at home with his pals.
Tuesday pleasures,
A beautiful sunrise.
Tackling Mount Ironmore and clearing the basket.
Met my DSIL in cathedral city and we both found a space in the same car park.
Trawled through a number of charity shops, found a work shirt for beloved and a fancy top for my very limited festive gatherings.
Late lunch, so late it was nearly dark when we came out and the temperature had noticeably dropped so quick walk back to cars.
Listening to the wind howling around the cottage and we were safe & warm inside, candles lit.
Found the latest Christmas University Challenge series so bit of brain testing.0 -
Snow today. Might not go too far. Got Nutcracker Ballet later.
Just had proper tea at breakfast. Snorkers are poor over here as always. It had easy over egg and fried mushrooms. They’re learning.
Right must cleanse n teeth’s and more later.
BoP is inn Cafe Nero, off Washington st. opposite Macy’s. BoPsie is inn ...

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) More postal vote processing. I have a new favourite voter name now (read it today). Sadly, I shall never be able to tell anyone what it is! We all appreciate am interesting, silly or alliterative name at work.
3) Got a few more Christmas presents.
4) Went to watch my niece's Christmas play. My sister isn't too bad. I can see pneumonia would soon finish you off without antibiotics.
5) Tasty tea of meatballs and spaghetti then smaller son made a pineapple upside down cake.
Have made tea for tomorrow (in one dish for sons, and a smaller dish for me) and am vaguely getting stuff ready for my 17 hour shift...
Off to bed soon to watch DIY SOS and try and get some sleep! Up shortly after 5 tomorrow. :-(0 -
DD I’m west of you! Think it was just so dark with stormyness too.
Hello from the warm extension. New wood burner stove in situ. However the bit that should be secured to the ceiling has came unstuck and slid down the pole of the chimney. So there is a draught between the hole in the ceiling and the roof tiles! Sigh! What can’t things just go as they should. Chap will come out on Friday morning to fix. Then the smoke alarm went off ! Waaah! Then I read his text that said there might be some smoke as the paint burns off and not to be shocked ! And just to have little fires to start off with.
Work! Was fine even though I wasn’t expecting to be there. Not very busy . Medium tips for the amount of customers.
Glad I drove as it was lashing with rain as I came home ( and is lashing again now)
A year and a bit on and bricklayer came out and did what was necessary for completion certificate. Builder called me ‘ are you at home?’ No I’m at work I’ve told you I work on a Wednesday!’ Well the bricklayer is at your house. DD2 was in.
Had lasagne with leftover from work salad and baked potato.0 -

it's been a tough day and i'm afraid i did lose it with a colleague. oh dear. i think the stress of the conveyancing has something to do with it - i was assured it would all be finished 3 weeks ago. so for 5 good things
1) the beautiful sunrise while i was walking into work - thanks for reminding me to look out for it mhags
2) an interesting hm lunch - pasta, chick peas, red pepper, passata and some spices. tasty and quick to assemble
3) lift home, and gbf was home with the boys. he's doing some painting for me cos my decorator's car broke down and i can't get my carpet done till my bottom step is done. i know, could do myself but work is toooooo busy, and he offered
4) so he stayed for a cuppa while i moaned about colleague and calmed down and scoffed a mini mince pie
5) dd2 has just phoned. i am going to walk the boys down to meet her .and that has made me very happyMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
