    8. Goldigger
    9. Elizabeth is missing - superb acting from Glenda Jackson. the BAFTA is in the bag, I reckon

  • As a Veteran. I can’t vote Labour.
As I voted Brexit. I can’t vote Green or Liberal.
    As I care. I can’t vote Conservative.

Guess what. I’m staying out of this one!

    1. I drove to work and traffic was ok. There seemed to be queues everywhere else.

    2. At work I decided not to attend a meeting on my day off next week. There is always a lot of pressure to attend but I am going to put myself first. It wasn't a popular decided as the meeting is team bulding.

    3. Visit to chiropractor. My back and good were manipulated.

    4. Christmas decorating started. DS1 bought a Christmas tree.

    5. Went to the pub for a drink with DH.

    Wednesday pleasures,

Took advantage of dry weather and exercised girlie, we got incredibly close to a Roe deer that was standing on the edge of the trees, guess not perceived as a threat on horseback.

The way my pal’s horse always comes up to his gate when I put my lass out as he knows I have treats in my pocket.

Finally got round to writing my cards, popped some festive music on the sonos to get in the mood, know many people don’t send anymore but personally I love receiving a card in the post.

We met up with a friend for evening meal, we all worked together years ago and it’s always good to catch up. I went all 70’s retro and had steak followed by profiteroles!

A full moon and the shadows it made in the garden, beautiful.
  • Sorry Tiggy's operation, massive leakage for days (at least 30/40 showers) her sore bottom and tail due to this, her left eye closing and now she is being sick. Have been backwards and forwards to vet, eye ointment, eye drops, salve for her tail, antibiotics, pain killers,.........

I am exhausted and not a little upset. Also terrified of the cost but needs must. Am also worrying that there is something deeper going on and have even wondered ( because of her eye) if she had a mini stroke under the anaesthetic.

Anyway, I have one thing for yesterday. The young greengrocers that sell bottled milk are now using paper bags and in the new year they are planning to look further into selling rice, pulses, grains loose. I really admire this couple, they have a severely autistic child and struggle but are always so warm and friendly.

To all of you, it is really lovely to hear about your lives especially in the middle of the night when Tiggy has me awake. So thank you.

    (More animal stories please.....)

  • These are for yesterday (Weds), shattered back with hopefully good animal updates later.

1 We gave our ill ferret the option of a little bit of convalescence food every hour or so last night, and this morning he’s eating just a little amount but on his own, his team are cuddled around him, I feel more assured it’s the right decision.

2 More volunteer work this evening, the thing that bugs me is the “we’ve added an hour on, didn’t tell you and assumed you wouldn’t mind”, ignoring the ignorance, it was an ok time I’ll do it again next week but fraid I will call it quits after that.

3 I have to write this as a pleasure because I just can’t get used to putting the oven on to clean itself and it does!

4 Food planning is going ok, but there are Christmas extras that have crept in such as balanced food of a mince pie in one hand and chocolate in the other, I’m trying to get 2 more exercise classes in before Christmas, as they stop next week.

5 Lovely tomato soup was lunch, and the stupidly early dinner was a chop and veg.

Help! I can’t get my wood burner to start! Managed fine last night. Maybe need to get horrid stinky firefighters ( a horrid smell memory from childhood) feel my husband is probably shouting all the way from heaven saying for goodness sake! ( he loved a fire!) any suggestions welcomed!

Work. Done and dusted, a wee bit busier than yesterday but finished a tad earlier which was nice coming home in daylight and walking the dog.

Going to have pasta for tea. Got some Rtc mushrooms and crusty bread in supermarket.

Will go out to vote when son gets in from work and then get stinky firefighters when we are out. Our polling station has been moved. DD2 took her granny this morning.

Being surprised at others political persuasions! Waaah!

Wrote a polite but a stonker of an email to builder this morning . Apparently coming tomorrow to attempt to fix window. Currently needing to change a soaking hand towel twice a day with the leaking that comes in. I dont understand why he doesn’t want rid of me as much as I do him!

    Have a nice night:)

    1) up to vote then off to sort curtains - now going for roman blinds and less full curtains but full length as they won’t be drawn
    2) then arranged for curtains. 23rd Dec if all goes to plan. Gbf has put 1st coat on bottom stair and ds is home soon so will be able to help move furniture.
    3) then office - I bought them a musical Christmas tree tin of shortbread £5 from m&s will then put led string in empty tin. Looks very pretty
    4) then Christmas lunch with colleagues. Asked for my left over curry and rice to be packed so just was supper just now
    5) lift home, gbf out walking dogs, we had cuppas when he got back then I did some work. Seem to have mislaid my charger so have had to stop as laptop has died. Bother. But at least an early night.
