Just a quick hello. Been a long day of workety work! The boss’ young daughter told my daughter that I’d turned up in the middle of the night! It was actually 7.45am and was to pick up keys!
Reasonable tips. Busy morning, steady afternoon that felt like it went on forever.
Quick home for a shower and change and then back for evening do.
Took colleague and her granddaughter home. They’d been out all day.
Doughnuts Rtc to 20p. One enjoyed next to the log burner!
Enjoyed Strictly and the right people won!0 -
PM2BOPAnother loss but we did play better. Still out the relegation zone. Just.
1) nativity rehearsal cancelled phew so back to bed with a large cup of tea
2) then gbf’s church’s Christmas fair. Long chat to bishop’s wife who is absolutely lovely. I then pulled out her raffle ticket for the hamper lol. I won a litre of sherry which I will use for cooking
3) bus back to uni to pick up bag and laptop (left at office due to going to party). Also collected left over sarnies and salad from fridge
4) home, ate sarnies, then friend phoned and invited me to a party - she had been going with her Hubbie but he was feeling a bit under the weather
5) party lovely. I remember the host from years ago though he didn’t remember me.there were some mutual friends. Also had great chat with his wife who is a bsl signer. I will suggest to uni chaplain we book her for next year’s uni carol service. Oh and I have an official invite in my own right to their next party:-)
The party was a 2 - 8 drop in so early night. Very civilisedMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

4 The animal freezer is defrosting in time for picking up all of their frozen stuff tomorrow.

Saturday pleasures,
Bit of a lie-in followed by boiled egg and soldiers.
Wrapped majority of presents, just the stragglers to come in now.
Put a few more decs up in anticipation of getting tree today.
Over to the yard, the horses were already in as the weather had been appalling so girlie happily munching on her hay net but happy to accept offerings of parsnip and carrot from human.
Watched Strictly, very enjoyable and didn’t mind who won as liked them all.0 -
Snorkers! See below!
PM2DD I take your point! We got a point at last! It is inn the bag. Wes gone one game undefeated! Championship form. What more can I say!
Now on with yous BoP news
Not riting an epic like DfV!
Got home to snores on FryDay. Nipped out to w8rs for supper, got too fillet stakes and mushrooms. Well done on the griddle pan. Ifs I cant cook stakes, then it is terminal. Hot pan, lard. Toss inn stake, reduce to medium, turn every minute. For rare, 8 to 11 mins, medium, 12 to 14 mins, and well done 16 to 18 mins! Do not turn pan down as it looks like it is burnt! Served with wobbleades! BoPsie was on her whines!
Watched new Grand Tour as well.
PM2"DDBoP is watching Back of the Net on the river plate play thing!
Had usual snorker fest on SatDay, with best back, mushrooms, poached egg, toms and bits. Right tasty! And a weigh too start the day! Decent tarts of Jam were also consumed!
Watched How to Murder your Wife. Gosh, ding dong, Terry Thomas would never get a part these days?
Was inn the emporium w8rs this SunDae morn. Too many are buying carp. Talking of xmas, BoP is feeding the cake some Jim Beam. Needs icing tomorrow. More later.
For tea today BoP is doing the home made Dog Burgers, with proper onions and cheese. Be right tasty! Served with soup!
Had goof trip to the US and Boston. Was interesting to visit Rockport MA last SunDae. An arty place!
That is all today for BoP Inn Bits!

Well I've been AWOL for the last week or so, but lots of pleasures have been had. Today's pleasures are
1. Catching up on all your pleasures and dfv amazing summary, feel quite chuffed I got a mention.
2. Lovely visit to DD2, a good old catch up with coffee and cake.
3. Neighbours Christmas cards posted and others ready to post in the morning, I don't send many, but I have a few elderly aunts and uncles who would be upset if I didn't send them one.
3. Chicken in the slow cooker, only 2 for dinner so there will be leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.
4. New picture and flowers for living room collected, really pleased the living room is looking lovely and fresh and I managed to get the flowers half price in Laura Ashley sale....although Mr M still almost fainted at the cost.
5. Everything Christmassy all sorted, except the food shop which I'm planning to do on the 23rd....break up from work on Friday for 2 weeks and really looking forward to the break.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Hello. Just popped into bed. Can’t be bothered staying up any longer!
Had had a dreadful night last night. Back aching. Hips aching, Hands aching. Just aching really!
Was glad when morning came around and could get up.
Pottered around. Cleaned stove. Hung up washing.
Hoovered. Cleaned downstairs loo! That’s all!
Friend and her daughter were in a-visiting all afternoon. We made mince pies , ate some and they took the rest away. I have enough mincemeat left for 2 pies for me!
Also made chocolate cookies using some Rtc chocolate I’d bought the other day. Eaten just out the oven.
Son had taken doggy a walk whilst mincemeat was involved then he lit the stove, been roasty toasty. We all sat and had our tea in the extension!
He’s away to climb mountains and DD2 out shopping. She keeps texting what will I get for such and such? I don’t care . Just bring me jelly babies!0 -
i love jelly babies mhags but how do you eat yours? i start at the toes and nibble my way up!
1) morning service - dear friend was preaching but sadly missed it cos i was rehearsing nativity. but i hear she was very good
2) setting up for uni carol service took a while but many hands and all that. then lunch with 3 friends, 2 of whom moved away last year. my first turkey dinner!
3) not time to get home so did a little bit of christmas shopping. plastic-free stockings for under £15 each is challenging! but have a few things now phew and (3 weeks late) my advent candles lol
4) back at 4 for the next stage of setting up for uni service. bagged my seat then got to work. cathedral absolutely heaving by 5 so gave up my seat. but kept my candle
5) we had some mulled wine left over so bottled that up and gave out to helpers (plus one non-alcoholic). left over mince pies were taken by two students to the homeless. i am now zonked!
oh just remembered another, i wrote a poem (a take off of the tay bridge disaster by mcgonagall outlining a colleague's professional life) to accompany my secret santa for tomorrow.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
