Hello. It’s a tad wild out there! High wind and rainy.

Still dark when I walked to work. And dark when I walked home. I cross a field as a shortcut so I didn’t much like that going home but it was fine. DD2 had offered to come and collect me and I met a friend who also offered a lift but I needed a walk to get some (very) fresh air! I’m stuck in a hot kitchen all day so it’s nice to get out.

Mediocre tips...I know I should be grateful for any we get! But it’s always nice getting a decent amount.

Home with vegetable soup which I had for my tea with some crusty bread and butter I bought with my tips!

Very quick doggy walk didn’t bother taking my coat off . We were straight out and then straight back in as soon as business was done!

    First Christmas card!

Now going for a hot shower and jammies on!

    1) friend dropped round with my accordion (she'd taken it for me after the last ceilidh) then gave me and dd2 a lift in
    2) i accidentally took her rather than my back-pack. fortunately running after car like a banshee worked!
    3) workshop with lunch, nom nom, happened to have an empty flask with myself so that's now filled with lish Moroccan soup for tomorrow
    4) friend at first workshop asked if i had a dress she could borrow for a ceilidh tomorrow. yes and yes. so got a lift home from her husband. we had a nice chat and the dress i had in mind looked stunning - have also lent her ds' Prince Charlie cos that's what i always wear with that dress
    5) now watching Josh and sorting out the music room. Blissful 40 minutes playing Mendelssohn and Bach very badly. I stopped a few years back. of course now thinking i could have had 3 years' free lessons from mrpiano, but i guess i just wasn't in the right space

    I wish you all well

    I HAVE A GOLD STAR and A MEDAL and a Title !
  • SS, your post is very moving, enjoy those celebrations.

1 I wrapped up all the gifts much to one of the animals bemusement, all cards written and posted off or hand delivered.

2 A quick bowl for pasta for dinner, as I needed to head out to an exercise class.

3 Exercise class was ok, it was one of those ones that was hard to keep going but glad I did it.

4 DH put the outside lights up today, it looks festive.

5 In the warm with the animals, a constant pleasure, would quite happily be a hermit.

    Morning all

Sue, hugs to you - yes! Celebrate the birthday..

    Pleasures for Wednesday

    1. went for a walk in the winter sunshine - needed to get out for 40 mins
    2. finished the marking :T (this batch anyway, another is due next week)
    3. cooked salmon for tea - DD had hers in white sauce with pasta and veg, goodness but that was a lot of pans :rotfl:
    4. DS came home for the night but I didn't see him, heard him briefly. I was asleep when they returned from footie at 1 in the morning and had to be out before he got up yesterday
    5. Lemsip - feeling a bit poorly (again! blooming sinuses) and it's such a comfort and does the trick.

    And yesterday

    1. Beautiful sky walking to the station
    2. Teaching was ok
    3. Caught a tram for the first time in teaching city - blooming expensive £2.30 for a single trip!
    4. Picked up our new car - Vanda (cos it's like a van) :rotfl: Now researching sleeping pods for it.
    5. OH cooked chicken curry for tea.
    6. (from the bank) watched a 'who do you think you are' that I hadn't seen - Warwick Davies.

Have a good day all - the MiL is due for the weekend so that will be a challenge...
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Good to see you Sue and yes on the celebrations.

    Thursday pleasures,

Had some bacon that needed using up so midweek treat of butties, small dog had her share too.

Schooling equine girlie over trot poles, she was engaged and well behaved so happy mum.

My friend made me aware of an art initiative run by her pal, looks interesting so will find out more.

Drove into horsey town to pick up a parcel, the wind had really got up and was bitterly cold so pleasure of warm scarf.

Stupidly tired and couldn’t keep eyes open past 9pm so early night.

    From me, too.
The goodness of this Thread - in larger terms, the good side of tinternet and social media.
Also blb, I recall vjm speaking about becoming a trolley dolly similarly, several years back now:-) You are in good company:-)

    3. Shared last w/e+glorious Barbarians v Wales rugby with Spitalfields M, who - being of dragon lands - had asked in advance for detail. Shared programme and foties. Loverley.

    4. Put w/m on, with everything wearily worn yesterday, at 2am. Therefore now done and will put out soon.

    5. Doing as much election biz as poss.too. 2 garden boards long up, opp. toxics. Love this:

Happy holidays Pirate Pete and Bopsie

This time last year I was heading to NYC in business class:)

Rubbish sleep. So was just glad to get up this morning.

Wild start to the day. Very wet.

Went to Lidl. Shared the voucher love and handed a few out in store as it finishes on Monday.

Returned a roll of wallpaper and got it refunded.

Horrid drive through town. Lashing with rain, detours, roadworks, red lights, more rain, more roadworks. Half the town is being dug up. The pleasure was getting home. 25 minutes for a 10 minute drive.

Son had day off, so he’s chatted throughout the day. Took dog a huge walk. Both came back soaking.

Went to work for an evening event. Was good.

    Takeaway for tea...was also good!

Sue enjoy your celebrations, make some marvellous memories x
