The quiet of the middle of the night. Very calming.

A cup of tea with shortbread biscuits upon reaching home

Tiggy snoring next to me....obviously enjoyed her walk albeit a very slow paced one as I was shattered !

Hello. It’s been a mild but drizzly day here...felt odd not needing to be all wrapped up.

Usual rubbish sleep. However was actually daylight when I woke up.

    Hoovered and washed downstairs floors.

DD2 and I went a big walk down the woods. Went to see OHs tree.

Quick pop into supermarket for a few things, making pasta for tea.

Never ending laundry and the drying of! Sigh!

Trying to catch up on last nights telly!

Pottering around putting things back where they go.
  • Quite a mild day here too, but very dark and dreary.

    Pleasures for today.

Kitchen steamed within an inch of its life, including wall unit tops, not a pleasure doing it, but a pleasure now it's done.

New vacuum bought, very impressed and £170 off deal. Gone back to a corded one as I got sick of the battery going mid clean on my cordless one.

Sunday dinner on the go, roast pork and it's crackling is looking mighty fine...strange how I cut every tiny piece of fat of all other meats but love a bit of crackling

Dogs walked and now sleeping of the rug....one is actually snoring

Just had time for a quick catch up on here and now off the put the veg on.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend

    Sunday pleasures,

Up early but slightly bleary-eyed after saturday’s indulgences, enjoyed the peace and quiet of a sleeping house with small dog cuddles.

My SIl’s partner enjoying the variety of birds on the feeders, he was especially taken with the woodpeckers and goldfinches.

We all enjoyed a cooked breakfast and felt more human afterwards.

Once our guests had departed we pottered around tidying up and getting house back to normal.

Apart from a small dog walk we had a lazy day which might have included an afternoon nap.

Friffs! Steam mop! My words, whats that!
    Weakened is over again.
Fed Raffles this morning. He had his Giant Toad and crispy bits. Bowl was emptied. Other cat foods are available.
At the Mill, I lit the furnaces and got the steam up. Then, here we go and it is only a Monday!, my PC died! IT are carp! Never mind, four weaks work down the pan! There! And don’t think the others will get off lightly!

Watched Yul Brynner last night! No not the King, but a privateer inn the Bucanneer. Swash buckling and sorts. Not on the flix of net though!

Now as noted last night in BoP ditties, the lunch box today has sour grapes! No strawbs. Usuals, and Red LieStir cheese. Three proper chocolate digestives as well! Proper and good for you. The proper chocolate digestives don’t travel well!

Checking out the tiddlywinks championships and I think with DD wes on a flipping blinder with that sport.

And that is all for this day!
Take a look at that …
  • Some for yesterday
1 Grilled bacon roll for brekkie
2 A bit more deep cleaning.
3 Leftover chicken has been both stock and turned into tonight’s curry.
4 Caught up online with DB.
5 Watched a late night film about pompeii
