Went to cinema to see Downton Abbey. All by myself! I’ve never been to the cinema myself. Cheap seats on a Monday.
1) really enjoying my latest library book - A Gentleman in Moscow
2) forgot about a meeting 12 - 1 and had another 1 - 4:30. Was very pleased I had a mug shot in my drawer for the coffee break in the longer meeting!
3) got my council tax reduced yay. unfortunately refund will go to xoh cos account was in her name even though i paid all the bills. silly me! but future monthly payments this tax year will go down £40 a month which will be very welcome. and then of course a break Feb and March. Then i will get the whole discount!
4) hm aubergine casserole which i had taken in for lunch was heated up for supper back home. very yummy, and i have another 3 portions in the fridge
5) nice walk to meet dd2 with her friend's dog.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Monday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son still not at college. He's done 3 hours so far. This did prompt me to email the SENCO to ask for a review of his EHCP. He hasn't actually worked with a professional since he was 9. So nothing up to date from SALT, Educational Psych or anyone else!
3) Hens OK.
4) Went round the charity shops to try and find something to wear for my parents' Golden Wedding dinner. Couldn't find anything (I've been looking all over the place). Sat in the car for a bit and managed to shut down a Spotify account that "Mr Nobody" had set up and get a £9.99 refund! Also worked with various people and the bank to stop certain young men using ITunes and buying stuff through the Playstation...
5) Made a huge amount of veg chilli. Had wraps this evening and a meal's worth is in the freezer.
6) Bigger son had a nice day at college then went to see MrN's son5.0 -
Late one from me today been a bit of a marathon as DD1 went into the maternity unit last night at 11 and we're still waiting for the baby, it's hard just having to wait and not being able to do anything except wait.
The text we just got to say she and baby are both OK and she's just going back to the ward to try to get a little rest.
Trip to Farm Foods and picking up lots of frozen fruit for the freezer and many delicious puddings this coming winter.
Looking online and finding the Doctors surgery have finally got information up on their website about this years flu clinics so we'll be ringing in the morning to book appointments.
Home made shepherds pie and veg for supper, most tasty.
Getting lots of the clues on Only Connect and being able to answer quite a few questions on University Challenge, must be more in the pigeon loft than I thought!0 -

All strength to all involved MrsLW & the third child can be just far too comfortable.
Been there, had to outwait three elective caesarians but then youngest was issued with end of lease notice by lovely midwife & arrived a contented soul half an ounce off ten pounds. Years later still very laid back & a healthy young sprout, so patience & practice pay off, but oh dear gods the waiting...0 -
This isn't that daughter D for V this is the older one and it's her first babby! DD2's babby is due on 6th October!0
