Been there... youngest was issued with end of lease notice by lovely midwife & arrived a contented soul half an ounce off ten pounds. Years later still very laid back & a healthy young sprout, so patience & practice pay off, but oh dear gods the waiting...MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Morning all
Pleasures for sunday
1. a quiet morning at ICT, weather was dull so we had a lazy time
2. Had a bit of a soak in the bath
3. A circuit by the sea and then
4. Cinema for Downton (mhags, I frequently go to the cinema alone)
5. Out to eat in the evening with friends. Yummy salmon
And yesterday
1. Up early, quick whizz round with a cloth and on the train
2. Work was done
3. DS gave me a lift from the station as we had to go to the dentist to get his new crown fitted (the 'not a pleasure' was the £250 odd quid)
4. A fairly swift and painless chest x ray as i'm still unwell. Hopefully the results in 3 - 4 weeks (hopefully as, if they are sooner, they've found something untoward)
5. Finished Poldark.
Have a nice day and hope that baby arrives soon.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Pleasures today -
A clean bill of health for the cat, who had his annual check up and vaccinations today.
Dog's sheer delight at finding in the park the same big lump of wood she found yesterday.
Home made soup done and put in the fridge for tomorrow, all from leftovers.
Bread and butter pudding made from half a stale loaf. That's tonight's dessert sorted.
Windfall apples made into a pur!e. Rubbish crop this year, all seem to be blighted, but the insides seem ok.
Crisp and clear sunny day. Just about to put a washload on the line outside. I'll leave it out overnight and fetch it back in tomorrow. Call me a !!!!!! if you like, but my house, my rules.

For yesterday
1 We went across the bridge to ikea to pick up a unit and managed to get ten pounds off.
2 Picked up some seafood on offer at C0stco.
3 We treated ourselves to a meal deal at the range, it was a lovely lunch.
4 I’ve picked up some sugar free chocolate samples I’m saving for DH over Christmas, I hope it’s as good as it seems, we were told to just have a little good chocolate, but with massive weight loss he is missing chocolate so hoping this will help.
5 DH got me a pair of trousers I really wasn’t sure about buying the smaller size, but he said to try it and I literally danced when they fitted. Its weird I don’t feel like I’ve lost the weight I have so far. He’s gone from a 4 xl to xl, I’ve gone from XL to medium in some clothes now, pleased I’ve had to do diet and exercise, he’s mainly diet, as he is on the go mostly but re trained the diet to cooking from scratch.
For today.
1 Up and started half clearing surfaces, there is method in my madness, I’m clearing half and leaving half hoping that it won’t attract more stuff, I’ve done 3 surfaces and already he’s put stuff on one!
2 Drove dh to a diabetic eye check and back, he does dislike it as sun hurts the eyes for 6 hours after.
3 Hung out a few washing loads, fed the fish and birds, and started weeding the garden which is crying out to be strimmed and mowed but has a gazebo in the way at the moment. DH is using it to spray paint some cupboard doors. One big bag of weeds achieved.
4 Moved the house fern back inside

Still waiting, thought it was all going to happen just before lunch but NO! and they've been all afternoon waiting for a bed in delivery, it's a huge unit and there are many mums to be all needing beds, some more urgently than others.
Pleasure was seeing DD1 this morning and finding her coping with what has already been a long labour and still managing to find me a smile, bless her! that's 5 in one!0 -
Not the best or the cheapest of days. One of the dogs is poorly. I am rubbish at ill pets, so he has been to the vets, had bloods, booked in for more tests if he hasn't perked up by Thursday. But what i love about this thread is we are encouraged to look for 5 good things and so
1) got my expenses approved despite my putting them in late. That'll teach me! (the uni changed from 6 months to 3 months and i didn't remember reading the email oops)
2) the taxi to the vets was £5.50, and because we weren't time-bound coming back, we walked. Well i did. the dog walked about 2/3 of the way
3) the weather was stunning, and warm. i have managed to clock up 20k steps, mostly with other dog who is fighting fit (but was sick 4 times Sunday night so wondering if the two are related)
4) delicious supper - pasta, leeks, bacon, mushroom and quark. Have cooked it before. Didn't have mushrooms, then found a tub of dried wood mushrooms that DD1 must have left. rehydrated half the tub and chucked those in. Lish, and 3 portions left.
5) now sitting in my kitchen, elgar's cello concerto on the radio, glass of red wine from the 1/2 bottle given to me after church.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
