5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

I was up at 3.45am with a vomiting dog...2 socks though not a pair as I don’t think we have any pairs left.
So when alarm went off at 6 I just snoozed it continually till about 7.30.
Work was worked. Drove in ( whilst horrified at tail-backed traffic as I normally walk at that time) as needed to buy extra food for dinner tonight and didn’t want to lug it home.
Picked up Australian visitor at train station. Lovely to see her. Prior to that I’d cleaned bathrooms, hoovered and dusted and washed floors! Have cancelled cleaning lady for Thursday. Brought a washing in and hung another load out. It was a beautiful day once it warmed up slightly.
The niecelys came for tea. We had a gammon joint, chicken with sage from the garden, roast potatoes (first ones bought in ages) parsnips, broccoli and cauliflower and peas. Had a bread mix that had just expired so our visitor made that as she wanted to be helpful.
Had a very yummy pavlova for pudding with blueberries on top.
Haggis’ old lady friend popped in for a visit so much charging through the house by labradors.
Haggis loves our visitor. Our visitor loves Haggis. Mutual appreciation society on the sofa.
Chortles from the baby. A dog walk with GN. Lively chatter at the table. I love having everyone round my table.
Did not keep food for son as I’m sure he said he would not need fed...in came son ( later as he’d been climbing) looking for food. He had a banana sandwich and pavlova. Anyway he’s now out with the dog which I thought I’d have to do...so that’s a bonus!
And now bedtime!0 -
The day is near.
All I can say is BoP has gone too ...0 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son went to college! He is impressed he did 12,000 steps today but is not a fan of it generally. He was asleep before 9.
3) Hens OK.
4) Popped to mum and dad's.
5) Went to Floody City and found a dress for my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary for £5 in the charity shop.
6) Met my school friend for a cup of tea.
7) Watched GBBO then the channel swimming thing.0 -
There today we can hear the ticking of the clock.
Day One Has come!0 -
Well you see when BoP had his five yearly bum check they removed. 7 polyps!
On BoPsie they just managed two in her yearly.
Seconds time around she’s in for cancer.

5. Watched GBBO0 -
Hope Bopsie is ok x
Not more poorly dogs please.
Tuesday pleasures,
Not a great night’s sleep so had scrambled eggs on marmite toast to cheer me up.
Over to see the beautiful grey one, started washing her mane as somehow dusty but greasy at the same time and before I knew it had turned into full on bath, who’d have a light grey horse!
Working in the garden, warm in the sun, and keeping small dog happy by throwing tennis balls. The earth is so dry and dusty, we need rain.
Ratotouille Couscous with Italian Fennel for tea.
Utd won 4 nil away from home.
Watched GBBO and then the new series of Love in the Countryside, the reality of a milking parlour seems to shock many.0 -
BoPsie is in at around now.
Don’t panic. BoP has changed his trolleys!0 -
Conflicted by title of thread and RL, and others' life experiences atm, just felt mse silence is preferable.
Nonetheless, caring thoughts to Bopsie and bop, Mrs LW''s dd1, mhags, Frith+sons, nargle, Suffolk sue, PK, dfv, dd, vjm, vl, lainey, all who lurk and post here for any reason, thinking too of all the changes in lives recorded here over years.

Asb up and up. Yes, I do fear each return, with justification, as twice yesterday, with verbal from person and filming.
Nowhere for & to park.
I remain silent still.
Finally made official complaint, feeling petty doing so, but this cannot continue. There is clearly some agenda, but I still don't know what it is.

1. Alive and mobile.
2. Can write as much here.
3. Last Sat, Club rugby double-header:-1st XV lost, Ladies 1sts won.
4. Then to 29th birthday for terrific young friend, currently London Think Tank employed, missed in Cambridge, former Lead County Councillor, now just appointed Lecturer, Cardiff University. He is happy again, needed. I have long predicted MP-ery for him, Leeds Northern boy that he is.
5. CS, as normal Monday, after early dental check, then again yesterday, sorting all fabric to take to Spain. I pray asb can be sorted well beforehand.

All blessings and special welcomes to MrsLW's grand-arrivals. What odds on dd1 and dd1 managing same day!, early and late.
Right, on with day. Spits prep calls, but - of course - must check car, wherever it has to be, before setting off around 3 bells.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Ampersand, never feel guilty about making a complaint re antisocial behaviour. When you let little things like that go unchallenged, the perpetrators go on to more serious stuff. How do you think drug dealers, burglars and violent offenders start out?
My pleasures, hmm, usual dog walk. We took the tennis ball then found a nice chunky stick in the park. Poor dog didn't know which to play with initially, but then decided to carry on with the ball,
Gym this morning for some well needed exercise.
Dry washing brought in, fresh load put out. So nice not to have to use the tumble dryer.
Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for lunch.
Fresh linen on the bed, so looking forward to getting in it tonight.
My tee shirt and sweatshirt I ordered for Rock Choir on Monday arrived today, love getting parcels in the post.
My new passport arrived today, that's me sorted for the next ten years. One life - your life - live it!0
