Lunch time and reading your lovely pleasures. For me for yesterday
    1) the lunch that keeps on giving - you'll remember on monday we had a catered buffet for the new students and i squirreled away sandwiches and olives for tues and wed lunch. i also put the hummus in the fridge and it was still there yesterday so took in bread, carrot sticks and cucumber sticks for lunch #4
    2) got a lift to city campus with boss so no need for bus fare
    3) new shoes rubbed up a wee blister on left ankle but relieved with plaster that i had in my bag (getting very well organised!)
    4) dd2 doing dogs so i stayed in work till latish. i had the lo chili and rice followed by the last of the melon slices from 'the lunch that keeps on giving' (so still nsd)
    5) free talk by Life Long Learning 'The Tumbling Lass' - fascinating legal account from 1687, discovery of which in the annuls led the speaker and 3 friends to set up http://www.tumblinglassie.com/ which raises money and awareness around modern day slavery. my friend was on wine so i got a double ;-) there was a collection at the end so not a nsd after all, but a very worthy cause

  • 1 The house is now clean, all the ferret bedding is done, our bedding is done and topped and tailed with dusting, hoover and mopping up and downstairs.
2 Most of the washing is drying out in the line, but we run the ferret bedding through the dryer to remove excess shedding.
3 A couple of slices of Costco pizza from the freezer tonight for dinner, and meal planned for the weekend.
4 Made arrangements to visit the in laws over the weekend.
5 Face pack, deep conditioned hair, feel a bit more presentable.

    Pleasures for today (Friday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) No phone call from job (as promised) so the waiting continues... It does give me more time to get organised.

    Friday pleasures,

A beautiful sunny day so three lots of washing done and dried on line.

Working through my autumn clean list, inside windows done and lampshades wiped down with wet cloth.

Achieved a score of 33 on Popmaster, my best ever and suspect it was because the chosen subject was 80’s music.

Popped out to the shops and when I came back there was a number of small, grey feathers on the well wall and the garden was deathly quiet, think our resident sparrow hawk had been at work. Not a pleasure as such but he has to eat as well.

The huge Harvest Moon rising through the beech trees, magical stuff.
  • BoPsie remarked while cooking the snorkers, our furnace is on and radiators are hot. Nice. No cold feet here!

Tea is being drunk, best back, snorkers, mushrooms and the works. Nice!

Was inn town last eve. Thai. Nice. Wobbleades.

Today BoP is at JAM. Battle of Britain weakened. 38 years ago did last ever 4 Vulcan scramble at Battle of Britain at Home Day at RAF Finningly.

Day T minus 4. That is why BoP had date nite Stroud last nite!

Have goodness to give, well give it!
  • 1. Less pain almost at normal levels.

    2. As taking it easy did unsubscribe from lots of emails. A boring job but hopefully I will receive less emails which will be the pleasure. Why do some companies send you an email to tell you that you have unsubscribed? It means more emails to delete!

    3. A small amount of gardening. Nothing heavy but some light weeding.

    4. Enjoying a coffee in the garden.I

    5. Another new recipe tried and liked and it was very easy to make.
  • DD1 going in to be induced and hopefully in the next couple of days the arrival of our first granddaughter.

Fantastic sunny day out there and we're off to a street fair in one of the local villages which should be fun.

Feeling slightly less itchy on my new meds and am being pro active to try and clear the allergic reaction I'm currently stuck with.

Driving yesterday and seeing how generous mother nature is being this year with tree fruits and seeds, every species is absolutely covered, it's a Mast Year for sure.

DD2 is finishing work to start her own maternity leave after her last Flu Clinic at the practice this morning, she sounded so much more relaxed when I spoke to her yesterday and is hoping to last the next 3 weeks until our third little grandson comes to join us too.

Morning all from warm and sunny Welsh Wales :T.

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. A 7 am doctors appointment with a very fat jolly doctor who said he doesn't think I have a chest infection but my issues are sinus related. Which makes sense. More drugs issued - I've progressed from pill popping to snorting them :p.
    2. Nice train ride to ICT. Work was done
    3. OH cooked a chicken curry, was nom
    4. Did a circuit. Only a short one as, although we think i'm on the mend, we didn't want to push it.
    5. watched a film - though it was a bit pants...

    Have a nice day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Pleasures today - bit of a lie in, knowing I am off work for the next nine days.

A short drive into the next village with dog, so we could walk in the woods for a change.

Seeing dog splash around in the river in the sunshine.

Real freshly-ground coffee when we got home.

Changed my living room hearth decoration to a Mabon/Autumn Equinox theme.

Egg, bacon and crumpet lunch, son had black pudding with his plus a toasted cinnamon and raisin bagel with strawberry jam.
