I do have quite a large ( by my standards ) garden .Estate agents parlance = detached bungalow with gardens on 3 sides .we moved here 16/12 before DD died to help ,the garden got a bit out of control for the next couple of years but I was getting it round and making it easier .

I have had a lovely gardener for a year ,but prefer her to garden as she knows what she's doing and it doesn't need skill to cut grass !
She will cut it if necessary ,all my neighbors in this little cul de sac are over 80 but will let them help as far as their health allows .

1 Started getting the van ready again, but on my own this time, dh is in a lot of pain.
2 I took off all our bedding to wash it and had the bright idea to do the topper to, which didn’t fit so I put it in the bath and then struggled to move it at all! But happy the weather will dry it soonish. Clean bedding on.
3 Batch cooked for while away, korma, grilled chicken, and mince bolognaise all boxed up. Bolgnaise was tonights food as well, and left over takeaway if we need a snack later.
4 There’s an ice age we haven’t seen can’t wait to see it.
5 Caught up with DB who retires next month....

    A good day.

    1. Had a walk round the garden first thing with a coffee. It was warm ,sunny and peaceful.

    2. Did more accounts sitting in the garden. It was much better than doing inside.

    3. Went to visit a local National trust property. It was enjoyable but I wouldn't rush back.

    4. DH had sorted out loads of paperwork which I've shredded some of but less piles of it around and all organized so I know where to put it when he leaves it lying around.

    5. Had tea in the garden. DS1 woke up long enough join us! He had been out Friday night and Saturday night he had a work thing at the Tower of London then they all went to a nightclub.

    Sunday pleasures,

Up early and was watering the garden at 6.45am ahead of another warm sunny day.

Groomed girlie in her paddock, she rooted through the brushes in bucket and come up with the carrot that I had hidden in there for when I left, luckily had a few treats in my pockets.

Hadn’t slept well due to heat so a snooze on the sofa.

Watched the cricket interspersed with Glastonbury.

To finish off such a lazy weekend we had a takeaway, lemon chicken nom nom.

    1. 1am was too late to be posting Edinburgh Spookymen's Chorale pleasures🤩. Sold out. Crammed in. Delayed start while Traverse space mgr mc'd+managed everyone into spaces.
Totally different dynamic+running order+content from Glasgow. More b-i-i-i-i-i-g FANTASTIC+some new songs. More everyone singing+stage joining+dancing, again at the end.
Oh happy &🌞😊☺️, so good for the soul.

    2. Loving this Perth Uni campus as yh. Up shortly to do brekkie, so late, so unheard of for &.

    3. More cricket on t'wireless. Albion came good.

    4. Beforehand, found St Ninian's cathedral online, so>11bells Eucharist. And def. VERY bells but no smells:-)
Friendly. Somehow, as usual, seemed to find self help after coffees. Added 6 books to their sale table .... tiny mmmm, may have bought 3....

    5. The Forth bridge, by day. First crossed it in the ubiquitous antipodean done-out camper, newly UKd, 16 Dec 72, for Murrayfield. Us 14, Saltire 9. 1st ever whisky, too. Put on porridge by a hotelier, thrust at & when I couldn't believe the dank, bone-chilling, grey, dreich cold, having left antipodean summer☀️.

    6. Outside at Ninian's, & had her usual thing of being a stranger somewhere, being asked for help+directions and being able to oblige :-)

    7. Found Edinburgh Emporium, ideal rtc yum, hence free cappuccino.

    8. Only 15ish miles to venue tonight, not the 100+rtn of last 2. Going full fig black swirly tonight....chatting with Spookies after(urged+encouraged by spookmeister Stephen, I should add), learnt they played cricket there last time, in 2015. Audience member told me this area has the earliest club in the UK, still v. strong:
    http://www.cricketscotland.com/about-landing/history-page/.
He's still playing in his 50s, same side as grandson:-)

  • Oh it appears & is a little winded by the cricket. Lets keep it that way shall we?

Good day to see the righteous on the fakebook! I see Piers punched a picture of some US lady footballer in expectant rush that the Lionesses would wallop them tomorrow! Seems that some have shown their angst without hindrance! Amazing how one can be set off?

Then we have the cricket against the Kiwis, no doubt about it?

Wents to the Veterans breakfast on SatDay, luckily one member did a sweep and found tow newbie, oldies actually, who had not got around the corner where we congregate. They are now in the brotherhood.

Any way BoP as he said on SatDay was at the JAM, where we had the spitfire fly pass as well. BoP did enjoy his dog burger and onions. BoP is next inn public at JAM on 21st July.

Looked at the images from Cleethorpes on AFD and it appears it was well packed as well.

As is suggested hot at the weakened, and Raffles is doing his work, BoP decreed it was a no cook day and we had pork pie, boiled egg and salad. Loads of radishes for BoP. Also we wolfed down the last of the spotted Richard with instant lumpy custard as well as some chicken poodle soup. Right was tasty and proper foods.

Now back at the mill for another weak of shovelling on the isle of capri. There is a song about it, but then again!

And as BoP is at the mill, inside the luch box of BoP this weak we has tom, radishes and cucumber. Strawbs and blueberry. Too satsumas, proper digestives and a chocolate covered w8rs biscuit. Cakes of Jaffa are so last weak!

    More tomorrow?

Just bee yourself and do good for others?
