Thinking of you SuffolkSue.
1 Up thanks to a parcel delivery at 7 and a long to do list.
2 Used the weather to dry 2 lots of washing, refilled the birdie feeders and topped up the tomato plants and clipped them up where needed, and mowed the lawn at least it looks loved.
3 Feeling glad I batch cooked yesterday, just cooked up some turmeric rice while the curry was reheating.
4 I had a drs apt, and did a round robin to use free returns to return a sale top I tried, very surprised at Joe Browns it was bad quality so sending back for return pennies.
5 Popped to Aldeee0 -
Hello. One is rather tired ( and a tad irritable with everyone )
Work. Finished at 12 . Boss made the scones this morning after a masterclass yesterday and she did the very few breakfasts ( so, so quiet this morning) with instructions from me...this means I can start to have a day off. Hurrah!
Hag and I set off allotment bound. Picked some herbs and some rhubarb.
Took said rhubarb to my mothers. Tried not to be aggravated by her untidiness but fear may be the cause of my irritability! Stuff, stuff and more stuff.
Made son an omelette for tea. DD2 ate the leftovers but wasted them as she didn't really want them. Son said I'll have the leftovers for tea...no you can't as your sister has wasted them and it turns out had not cleared up after herself and that has made me even more irritable. So he had an omelette then she whined "what am I to have? I didn't like the other stuff "
I had a packet of biscuits...because I was irritable!0 -
We pulled the first carrot of the year on the allotment this afternoon, to see how they are doing and we've just eaten it as part of supper.....Oh my the difference in taste is gorgeous.
The washing I put out at 5 o clock this evening is virtually dry.
The scent of roses in the warm sun as we walked this afternoon was heady and beautiful and made me happy.
A walk around the lake and we saw the moorhen chicks which by now are scruffy little adolescents zipping round after their parents making the most awful din begging for food and the heron was sitting in one of the trees that overhangs the water with a perfect reflection of himself underneath.
The swifts whirling in the sky calling their scree calls so agile and acrobatic and never in danger of collision no matter how many of them are in the group, I love them.0 -
Hey everyone.
Today my 5 pleasures are:
1) being grateful that my body allowed me to go hard at my cardiac rehab session. I'm improving week by week.
2) having an understanding, very hard working husband who will take the reigns when I have nothing left to 'housewife' after my rehab session.
3) utilising quiet to aid mental health equilibrium and reading ancient Celtic traditions to get lost in history and calmness.
4) appreciating having the means to pay for natural fibres to knit into socks for DH to wear when he' s fishing.
5) Having brought my children up to do chores and getting the dishes washed, dried and put away without any fuss.0 -
Evening all
Thank you everyone for your messages. SuffolkSue, I'm sending you an enormous virtual hug.
Five recent pleasures:
1. A ton of kindnesses. Registrar was particularly lovely - gave my mum loads of time to understand and approve the certificate.
2. DS2 just sitting and hugging me and listening as I downloaded the story of the crucial days he'd missed from being overseas.
3. DS1 making me veggie sausage sandwiches for the last couple of suppers. Much to my surprise, my omnivorous mum loved the veggie sausages too when she tried them tonight. DS1 did turn her chopped up sausages, tomatoes and lettuce into a smiley face on the plate though which made her laugh
4. Still sleeping on a camping futon on the floor with my back still holding out just fine.
5. Tapping into gentleness and patience I never realised I possessed. I'm learning an enormous amount about myself right now. Unexpected gift from my dad.
Sweet dreams,

Frith - I do like going to Scotney Castle and it's lovely n May.
1. Thanked by a Doctor at work for agreeing to see an extra patient . This was done in manager and line manager hearing but they ignored it all.
2. Long talk with someone as to why my suggestion for flexible working may be turned down. I've thought of ways round it.
3. My flowers still looking good. Some I picked from the garden.
4. DS2 took over cooking tea.
5. Enjoying my book.0 -

Well again your BoPiness for the day is here.
Not a lot has changed inn the lunch box, so we can skip through that today!
Raffles has bin a bit hot the last night and was a bit poorly. He ate his breakfest so he is ok. He is looking after the yellow thingy for us all.
Down at the mill inn the boiler room today with the shovel. Hopping we are about another mine up norff. Bit far up norff! Thinks it could be one big minefield?
Nows as yous all know, BoP is tonight keeping his just beach ready looks inn the gym and thens we is having the Hot Dog supper. Served with proper chopped onions and not them toe nail ones I usually do! I has to do this to keep beach ready for the JAM. Don’t forgets I is back in the kite shed on 21st July! We has tea and cakes as well!
Now at the mill it seems that the next batch of cloth we make is all down to the BoP. Best that the negations about the pension are not conclusive this day!
I will leave mes spill cheater on the last words!
As yous knows BoP talks about kites a lot, well 100 years ago today the first east west crossing of the Atlantic started as R34 set off for the US!
Now you wanted to nows all that.
And if you look, you will see!0
