    Pleasures for today (Friday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) More invigilation (last time but have been asked back for the December exam).

    3) My brother appeared to deal with the wasps nest in our bathroom extractor fan.

    4) Hens OK and picked black and red currants.

    5) Took smaller son to college. The SENCO opened up for us as the students have all gone for the summer. They wanted him to have a quiet look round and he did very well. Quite by chance, some paperwork arrived from his high school this morning saying he'd been diagnosed with dyslexia 2 years ago - who knew?! So I took that along to go with his EHCP and a million other reports. He can sit at the end of the row in the computing suites, leave and see the SENCO for a chat and will have his own TA. He needs 4 level 3s to do the course he wants.

    6) Had a vague tidy up when I got home and made chicken nuggets for tea, with baked beans and a portion of chips from the van.

    7) A long online chat with bigger son. He is doing a holiday club for the school children at the moment and has had sports day and a talent show. He wanted suggestions for more games and it's quite tricky when they have no materials. He is going to teach them stuck in the mud.

    8) Watched the Last Leg.

3 the kindness and caring of the Community Service ,physio here again ,more AIDS arriving Monday and hoist being sorted .I will have training ,wonder if I'll get a certificate !

4 my back is holding up ,DH is suddenly pretty much off his feet and getting the leg spasms again .was up 6 times last night and had to haul him out of bed twice ,he's 13 st on practically dead weight so interesting at times .

    1. Perth Uni YH en-suite room is tiptop. Writing from bed, after early brekkie, prepped in own kitchen.

    2. Part of 1, &'s black green tea drunk from yesterday's CS 50p find, a b/w Aotearoa+NZ+Land of the long white cloud mug:-).

    3. As yesterday when still en route, another strange low thick grey rolling cloud start, but this part of Scotland became the hottest part of the UK, says R4. However, Radio Scotland now says thunder and heavy intermittent rain showers+heat. On verra:-)

    4. Glad of this extra time to settle, enjoy surroundings, before 1st gig tonight in Glasgow.

    5. Thumb a mix of stingy, numb, stiff still, but holding up, rather than any more opening up.

    Friday pleasures,

Not Mhags heat but another nice sunny day, we are due the high temps today.

Did some lateral groundwork with equine girlie, only 15 mins as didn’t want to frazzle her horsey brain but she picks things up very quickly.

Capt S home for lunch, I did feta and roasted veg wraps, one of our favourites.

Despite a relatively poor show with blossom the apple tree seems quite laden with fruit, must have been the wassailing :D

A glass of cold, crisp wine with my evening meal.
  • On weigh to Vets Breakfest. Then JAM. We has the Spitfire after lunch.

Suffolksue thinking of you and hope all the aids help next week.

    1. Good day pottering about.

    2. Door fixed. It had dropped i was warned it may do. They came and fixed it and cleaned it too!!

    3. Bed changed and new sheets. All washing dried on line.

    4. Walked to bus stop to go out. Bus was busy. DS1 kindly gave us a lift home as he was coming home from evening out.

    5. Evening out at a local rugby club. Speaker was Nigel Owens who was very good. Good company and a fair bit drunk.

    6. Met someone we hadn't seen in about6 years. It was lovely seeing him. We had spent virtually every Sunday morning with him during the rugby season for 10 years as his son played rugby with DS2.

  • Burger wolfed down at JAM

BoP now on show inn the hall. Spitfire due at 1:40.
  • Home and all the comforts that we're used to.

A whole nights sleep, as long as we wanted, without having to be up and active early in the morning.

A super if tiring week looking after the Grandpickles who are such good fun to be with and they were so good for us all the time, just finding it not as easy to keep up with them as I used to.

The garden survived intact when we were away, all looks well and the honeysuckle was so fragrant last night as I opened the kitchen door, it took my breath, fabulous!

House tidy , washing line dried and shopping done for the weekend so I am going to have a sleepy and slow afternoon to try to catch up with myself.
