'Thunder bolts and lightning, very very frightening things' sang Freddie. Not frightening as such - & loves big weather - but wildly unhelpful when trying to sort/load FOR Spits and AT Spits. What a slog, for everyone, let alone for little old ladies. But done. And more huge concrete removing noise and cinders, worse this week (was supposed to be less) - and another stall discount.
    Anyway -
    1. & will be visiting Bank of purple to give some pennies, DG, car tax reminder having arrived. (Does anyone know why blutty autocorrect changes 'arrived' to 'strictly'?)

    2. So lovely to catch up with D, back from Paris.

    3. Away went localish aristo's big silk brocade elephant curtains. Hooray! Away went a lump of big Art to a professional Wall of Death+Globe of Death rider - an extremely cultured chap! Simultaneously, a lady was making a substantial gathering of Things, 1dt of which a terrific white gold and green cornelian ring acquired Reach Fair last year - all in all, helping &'s day off to a decent start. Great life story exchanges btwn them when noise abated. This is always the plus, this crossing of unpredictable paths and people just enjoying listening/meeting/speaking together.

    4. Enjoyed h-m curious curry+rice, with added rtc butternut rings, roasted. Never remove pumpkin family skin - gorgeous roasted. Used rtc lamb neck, rtc artichokes, free leek tops, end of sultanas/apricot jam/ginger/HM stock/cream, plus sesame seeds, turmeric, garden herbs. 6 portions with rice sorted. One for Spits, with others asking what h-m yum &has today. Twas lush and lovely - and saving £s. Some spend £15-20+ on coffees and food during the long day.

    5. Enjoyed R4x programme on 'B.B.' just now.

  • Wells yesterday I noted on about the empty table at the end of the film. The one everyone looks into about the dog. Well on my BuckFarce pages, there was an updated tweetabit about it!
Guy goes to the bar at Twickenham at the recent Army Navy semi-final, they play the RAF in the final! He buys nine pints of beer and returns to the table. He drinks his beer and leaves eight pints. Against each pint is a picture of one of his fallen comrades. I will put up the picture later.

Talking of semi-finals. Its full English then! We watched the gooners so far and then switched over for the second rate team!

Talking of Full English, Mes, I was off to the dog burger van for a fill. This is what you van do if you keeps beach ready like BoP. Most filling and good for you. We has a decent one out here at the Mill!

On about our mill, Shovel Master who is negotiating with BoP is lost for words at the moment. He has lost his voice! In other words, he cannot argue back. We are still not in agreement!

I see the hamster eater has passed on. Saw him in 77 at Bournemouth. Always did like his foolery and Elvis. Wander if the King will be having words with him!

Offs to the gym tonight, well after the Dog Burger, I has to keep me beach ready looks. On my beach ready looks, I do has the white handkerchiefs at hand!

I do love dipping into insocial media when things go bump. Although as noted that BoP does not watch the news on the media outlet that prosecutes most females in the UK, I hear they are censoring their version of events agin. No I not on about some social picture. But about the puritans spouting off about him being a right wing racist? Hang on, is the victim of the puritans bile not actually a working class life long supporter of Labour? Digs out his Stranglers album and plays ‘No More Heroes’ again!

I do like the balance inn the morning listening to Nick Ferrari on LBC! He questioned that again the BBC managed to rid itself of a working class person, in indifference to someone that had been to OxBrdge?

I do think that eating hamsters, although not proper food, would seriously melt the snowflakes today!

Anyway, I leave you today with the thought of the remaining eight pints on the table at Twickenham. I understand that no one touched them!

All the hamsters can freely turn their wheels this day!

    Very touching.

I've visited numerous USMC "Chow Halls" over the last few years and every meal they lay a table and meal for the MIA and fallen. Nice touch IMO.

What a day! A very early start of 4.23 am and picking up vomited detritus from the back garden ( the arm of a giraffe ...a cuddly one not a real one! )

Big walk first thing, what a beautiful start to the day. Gardens and trees all green and lush and blossomy and clematis-y and honey-suckley.

Off out to Glasgow for a big hospital appointment. We've been waiting a long time for this appointment so the extra hour we had to wait was do-able.

Much to digest, DD needs major orthopaedic surgery. Doctor was very nice and very explanatory of procedures.

Then it was an encounter with the rudest bus driver I've ever known. Son had dropped us off on his way to work so we were taking the bus back into city, he was shouting at me and I told him he certainly lacked manners! Sent in an email of disappointment to the bus company, I ended up in tears at his behaviour. Now I am known to cry but not because of bloody bus drivers!

Just caught the next bus home with a much nicer driver ( different company) home and back to my doggy who had kept his legs crossed !

Dropped DD off at work and then nipped over to friend ( who wasn't in) to drop some stuff off at hers.

Lovely chat with niece...a new name has been added to the fray! We like the new name! A week or so to go.

Just been out in the garden picking some weeds and watering the pots. Stayed dry today though hardly warm. Come on weather!

    1. A day off. Always a pleasure.

    2. Went shopping with DS1. He has the day off so we went so I could buy him his birthday present. He choose a short and some shoes. Managed to get discount on the shoes.

    3. Had lunch with money off too. It was good talking to him and he was relaxed.

    4. My birthday present from my parents arrived- more than a week early. It is solar lights which are flame shaped.

    5. Had tea which was quick to make and a new recipe.

6.Sat round the fire pit with a glass or two of wine. The solar lights looked good with the fire.

    Thursday and Friday pleasures,

Took ourselves off to visit Windsor and the Horse Show.

It rained, it rained a lot on Thursday but luckily we had pre-booked tickets for the main arena so enjoyed the noisy exuberance of the pony club games, followed by the musical ride of the Household Cavalry and then the technical brilliance of GP dressage.

The final two competitors had to complete their tests in thunder and driving rain, one even mimed swimming once he’d finished.

Walked back into the town and enjoyed a Greek meze meal.

Yesterday was thankfully better weather wise so made the most of it and watched a number of the show classes.

The most enjoyable part was visiting the various stands of the rescue organisations and meeting a few of their poster equines :)

And yes, people watching, always fun to do!

Hello. It's been a beautiful day...warmed up if you stayed out the wind!

Down to allotment for 8am this morning. First time in a week. I've missed it. Lots of oohs and aahs as much had sprouted since I'd last been down...including the weeds! Planted some seeds in the community bed, weeded my own, picked my very own rhubarb and sat for a wee while just 'to be' . It was just superb. Sun starting to warm up the day ( you know through my big wooly jumper) and the sound of birds everywhere and the occasional pop of a bunny's tail going by.

Lovely walk back through woodlands, picking up other people's rubbish as I went along.

Dropped DD2 off at work. Son away for weekend.

Postie came with my monthly mail from Australia. My birthday magazine subscription.

Hoovered, washed floors. 4 loads of blooming washing done! Whaaat? Miss a day and it quadruples! One was my bedding though! Remade bed.

Sister called. Thought I sounded 'down' ...not particularly. No more than usual :)

Walked down to bus stop to get DD after her work. Haggis was delighted to see her.

We had chicken for dinner. Mine had bacon and soft cheese wrapped round it, hers didn't, baby potatoes, salad. Rather yummy.

Trying to update my CV particularly for a particular job I'm applying for. So trying to make it sound fabulous in all the right places! DD shall help me upload it!
