Lost a big post the other morning, most annoying as Raffles, which & loves, was on r4x, and link was made for keeper bop's attention.
That was then: this is now.
Desktop cranked into action as & has had to muck about with NZ shipping declaration blahblahs - due fortnight-ish. Not transmitting on mob.
Will ignore last post rememberings. Relieved to say modest Banking done after Spits, DG. This despite horrendous drilling, dust, noise immediately facing. A 3-fig sale, esp. a bit of Art, is such a fillip. The decency of M. reducing stall fee was another, for which he seemed touched to be thanked.
    #
    1. Early hunt'n'gather at Trumpy pre-Church. M. very talkative, during which time & had lucky £5 reverbe, spotted as we spoke, no-one near. .

    2. Good Church, from which & raced,to save laundry, then back, [Lainey knows what it's been like in Fenny lands] Safe timing, as coffees, cleanups, chats take a good half-hour. Then walked with vic.to vicarage for more eggs and latest marmalade handover - Blood Orange and Port.

    3. Lovely old Reach Fair yesterday, continuous annually since 1201. Very old-style, laid back, same stalls [which is part of it all], beekeepers, unusual plants lady, books and teas in Chapel, Cats Protection League, rather talent-less singing iin main field, magician and local old rock performers good+better at Lower End green, old pub, hay-bale seating only, friend's son with his fantastic rustic wagons[mto], helter skelter, booze tombolas[lucky &, x2 yesterday], Morris dancing etc.etc.etc.

    4. Just as & was enquiring for jewellery lady[ill ths year], there was J. We all chatted along same lines, wishing absentee well. Was glad that J found the 30+maps & sourced and left behind a plant pot at their door - to 'paper' holiday van interior :-) J+S v.v.v. pleased, therefore & also.

    4. So, no jewellery, but a fantastic box of early Rockingham trios instead [£30 i.e. coffee cup+teacup+saucer, not as defined nowadays:cup+saucer+sideplate. https://www.carters.com.au/index.cfm/index/5622-rockingham-pottery-england/

Digging about for more Seaweed and Vine patterns/variants records/decorators.
    https://www.rotherham.gov.uk/museumpatternbook/info/12/the_pattern_book_comes_to_rotherham/16/comes_to_rotherham
It's supposed to be digitised but can't see images and tel. no's are unrecognised....& does not give up.

5.. Reach Fair is Reach Fair, long may it remain so. Colder yesterday and it's no cars, trek from Swaffham Prior, good for soul. Mayor was leaving after Noon-sharp opening [another tradition, way better than having Lucy Frazer MP Con]when we crossed paths, & just arriving, and warm greetings exchanged. She's a wheelchair user, terrific Mayor and carrying office alone since still unbelievable death of Nigel Gawthrope, only halfway into his term.

    6. Crossed paths with new mummy from The Alma and baby B - tucked under blankie that & made from NZ imported SkeiNZ wool! Was absolutely taken aback, flattered, pleased. Apparently it's the one used on all their pushchair walks, 'cos cuddly, soft, perfect tuck-in size and is asked about because of handwork/colours/pattern, I was told. Another friend was there and confirmed this. Still can't get over it.

    7. Snakehall Farm/Prospects Trust.
    https://prospectstrust.org.uk/
    - on way back, picked up 6 lovely, less usual, rtc, growing herbs - winter savory, hyssop, burnet - 2 of each . £2!!! Dropped one trio off for recovering uni friend, more mobile now, but a long way to go.
& still wants an abutilon like hers:-)

Just fed impatient birdies again. It's still so cold, now back to research and other.
    Everyone stay snug.

Frith, I was taken aback by your driving comment. It seems such a shame to cancel Kent YHAs for that reason. Is no re-think persuasive enough? I just so feel younger son and you would love the hostels I know there - and docks etc.

    Hello.

It's bright now that it's evening time! Been a day of heavy showers and hailstones. Managed the doggy walks in between the showers.

Wrote a list and ticked it all off.

Still dizzy so stayed home expect for little dog walks.

Emptied all my kitchen cupboards and washed them and refilled. A few things well out of date, emptied and recycled. I do not need to buy pasta for a while!

Emptied the shelves in my dining room. I'm debating whether to paint them to match everything else that's been chalk painted. (Table, chairs, dresser, console table) I'd bought them second hand ( isn't everything I buy:)) and it's walnut wood but a bit scraped in bits ( which I don't mind) and I feel it's too dark against the flooring. Hmmm! Anyway. Emptied it. Dusted it. Refilled it .

Whilst tidying the cupboards took out 3 bottles of prosecco and took them to a friend who is fundraising at the weekend for raffle prizes. I don't drink ...haven't for many many years ( doesn't agree with me) yet still people bring alcohol! Anyway happy to help this particular charity.

Made pasta for tea with some of the excess pasta mountain stock! Bunged in loads of veggies ( also washed fridge) , half of the very last packet of 10p bacon found in the freezer! I thought I'd used it all up. Cream. Yummy. May have had a second helping.

My friend's daughter called to ask if I could take her to school tomorrow as she needs to be there extra early! Okay then! Must remember to get up and dressed! I'm always awake early just not always dressed to impress.

    DD had her first exam.

    Tuesday pleasures,

Three loads of washing, two dried on the line and then a cleanse wash, WM has earned its keep.

Stripped the chicken carcass to make soup and little dog had the serving plate with all that lovely jelly.

Pony was in her own field for a change!

Capt S and I met up with a good friend, lots of catching up and reminiscing went on, smashing evening.

Had heard the footie result in the pub so stayed up very late to watch the highlights, that’s one English club in the CL final then.

  • Shovel master still has not agreed the readies. It could hurt, him more than me! Usual rules! Just like arithmetic. I at at x! They are y*6 away from x. Best we square up!

Nows as yous may nots knows, BoP has commented elsewhere on the parish about food waste! We had outs away take food on Monday, and the spare chips, well they do give too many these days were fooded to the local magpies. They are happy. Raffles was sat on his cushion not bothered. I thinks they be too big for him! We has cat, so we don’t listen to the Cat Nazi! Oh the food waste, half a caddy and it is loose tea and peels.

As for Raffles, he is inn indoor mode today, it’s raining!

On abouts proper foods again. Last nites wes had smoked mackerel kedgeree. Done proper and was rite tasty. On Mondays I did nasta pasta, and because I over got the chilli flakes, it was scorching. Just like BoPsie likes.

Another day without football. I has withdrawal symptoms now DD! Oh well Theres the WWC soon. Oh its on the BBC. Mmmm, I don’t know. PM2DD Oh Liv’rpool, no, they cannot beat Grimsby! Jevons still has freedom inn the parish.

As yous has bin told afores, BoP stopped watching BBC news at 21:33Z 1982-05-03, that one of their hacks could not come out with words. As with the Vets, do not pay the regressive TV Tax! Don’t forget that their tax collectors prosecute more females through the magistrates court than any other form of persecution.

Still over 200 days until the Tea party again!

And that is what it is like being BoP!
