Good morning. I was just too tired last night to type so here goes for my Thursday pleasures.
Think I got to 6am with the dog though this morning was 5am.
Was down at allotment just after 7.30am. Just me and had a lovely chat with DD1 as a I walked and then as I sat and ate my banana. Saw a couple of bunnies and lots of birds. Pulled some weeds from my beds then did some weeding in community areas.
Walked home and painted first coat of chalk paint on dressing table ( repeated another twice through day)
Washing out ( washing in as it rained) washing out and washing in once it dried.
Wandered round to my mums. Met a friend on way so had a nice chat with her.
Tea of RTC sausages in crusty bread.
Saw a cot bed offered for free on our local FB group so negotiations between me, the giver and the recipient ( niece) means we're going to collect it today. It's just up the road and her MIL is coming too ( needed bigger car than mine) hurrah!
Dressing table was all finished and I had some tiny fairy lights someone had given me and a nice candle I got as a birthday present. Very pretty. Just need to line drawers and then I can use them. Waste not . Want not!
Someone has scraped the side of my car...bit growly about that! It's not huge but it's there and someone must have felt bumping into my car.
Went to bed last night feeling that labyrinthitis was on its way and woke up and tadah! It's here. So that's a nuisance. It can do one!
Have a good day! Hurrah it's Friday and all that0 -
Let’s hope that karma deals with the car scraper Mhags.
Thursday pleasures,
Delivery of stock shop first thing, chatty delivery driver who admired my herb pots and door wreath.
Went to garden centre to pick up some more bird food as our little feathered friends are really going through it, chat with lady in queue who used flutter butter and discussion on which birds we have in our gardens, lady on the till joined in as well.
Heard a cuckoo, first one in years, over at the yard. It backs on to large expanse of forest and the sound was echoing around the fields, smashing.
Princess pony was well behaved after her antics the day before.
Watched the last episode of There She Goes.0 -
Morning all from an overcast and gloomy ICT. I was supposed to be climbing Snowdon today with OH and DS but I've bailed out as I am not that well - don't know if it's a cold or hay fever from rape flowers but sinuses are blocked and painful and was cold and shivery yesterday between lemsips… I could have done a less strenuous walk but felt that the pressure on my sinuses at 3000 feet would have been unbearable (to be fair, I don't think i'd have made it).
Boo to car scraping, Mhags
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Reasonable journey to ICT, got my daily marking quota done
2. Lemsip - though I felt ill, I could at least carry on working
3. DS arrived at ICT and we had a good chat re his future, though with no conclusions. he has a year at uni left but really should be doing something with his summer
4. Sinuses are making my teeth painful (who knew that was a thing?) so I ate soft food - pancakes and banana and spag bog (first spag bog I've had in years)
5. Ambulance - such a tough watch but so well done.
Have a nice day all - my not climbing means I've a working day ahead. marking quota for today already done though.. :TI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Hello. Looks like it's just about to pour again. Had just (fortuitously) brought my washing in earlier when it lashed! Had just been a pleasant dog walk in the sun with no obvious signs of rain, fed dog, thought I'll bring it in now then down came the rain ( good for the allotment rain butts)
So bit dizzy whizzy first thing and again just now but decided to power through it. Not bad enough to stop me driving.
Wrote a list and ticked it all off. Cleaned all bathrooms. Hoovered upstairs and downstairs. Washed floors. DD2 did the dining room as I hung out washing...you'd think she was in service. Most of the flooring is covered by big rugs!
We went to L!dl. A few RTC things.
Then nipped to M0rrisons and a few RTC things there too.
Bought 4 RTC lavender plants. Had planned to get petrol but huge queue so didn't wait.
Home and I walked dog whilst the maid put the shopping away!
Then niece and her MIL came up and we went to get the cot bed which is in beautiful condition and was free. Took them a bottle of fizz that I'd been given as a thank you last week for roof tiles. Nice chat with the chap...they drove home as no room for me in car! Just up the road.
Made lunch which cost oooh around £1.50 if that for 4 of us! Mainly RTC things! Salad, bread, ham, veggie samosas were all 20p or less!
They left at 2pm. Dog walked. Snoozed. Lined the inners of my drawers! Oooh err! Then filled them with my drawers! Even more ooh err!
Nephew in law arrived after his work and then niece and GN arrived for an hour or so.
Son has just gone to get some takeaway.0 -
BoPsie is on the wine. Red wine.
Wobbleade is being consumed. Hic later.0 -

Hope ICT is looking good, VJsmum. Haven't been yet this year.
Pleasures for today (Friday).
1) Don't seem to be suffering any ill effects from yesterday's mammoth shift and back to work today! Also nice people working today (though could only really speak to one). As in many situations, turns out she knows my oldest friend (same hobby), sold her old house to another friend of mine, and trained my brother in law and has met my sister and niece!!
2) Turns out I had got a promotion when I got to work (!) so I was assistant count supervisor :-D Free lunch as well.
3) Chips from the van for tea.
4) Have been lying in bed watching television as pretty tired now.
5) Have arranged to meet a friend on Monday - haven't seen her in ages.0 -
Your hollibobs sounds a smasher DD
Friday pleasures,
Rough nights sleep so coffee with scrambled eggs.
A baking morning, rye & pumpkin seed rolls plus a tea loaf, in-between bakes I popped out to the farm shop and picked up some bits inc rtc Somerset Brie.
Capt S sniff of appreciation as he came in the kitchen at lunchtime and found out there was warm rolls to eat.
Text from yard owner to say horses were being brought in early due to foul weather so decided to leave girlie munching hay in her stable and have a rare afternoon at home, with all chores done the idea was to have a nap but I got in to my latest book and wiled away the hours.
Popped the cork on a bottle of fizz and enjoyed a glass whilst playing Yahtzee.0
