  • Oh yes. Celebration in Meggies Town. Rusty bus shelter team, Scoooonts are down! We has to remember their chairman ran from Gainsborough Trinity six years ago!

Went through GIMPton on Witham later with my mariner top, they’ll be back next year.

    That’s the football over DD

Back down South. Just had snorker fest with mushroom and best back. Proper foods.

Now these Loren sausages. Avoid. Carp foods. BoP tried one aged three months. Mother was told in no uncertain terms they were carp! Got it?

BoP will be at the kite shed from 1. More details later!

Oh, woulda as bin Mum BoP’s 86th Birthday.

    Towards another day!

Hello. A day of not too much as my world has been spinning around! All intentions of up and out early scuppered.

However have caught up on all things telly that needed catching up on.

Dog had a very good walk. He may also have had some birthday cake portions that were meant for DS and I. DD had hers and I don't think she had three! I was all inspector clusoe trying to work out the case of the missing pieces of cake covered in pink napkins!

We are having some Indian food for dinner which son has just gone to pick up.

    till 10th August bop
This morning didn't start well, when i went to check all well with my module launching tomorrow morning and i found no students registered. fortunately mrpiano told me staying at home fretting wouldn't do any good so instead sent programme lead an email and
    1) lovely service, really good sermon, chatting over coffee with friends after service, have replacement speaker for one who had to pull out due to emergency back home
    2) then lunch with mrpiano, mrsolicitor and dd2
    3) walked dd2 back to her flat with the boys then thought i'd cut across the park and home, by which time had formulated cunning plan for student module
    4) boys realised i was trying to cheat them out of park run, so admitted defeat and had lovely walk, and lovely long chat to xoh - she is buying a house boat!
    5) one of mrpiano's friends came round for birthday tea and we had a great sing-a-long. which is why, at 11:30, i'm just starting episode 6 of line of duty, on a school night. oops

    Pleasures for today (Sunday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Bigger son had a reasonable day at work at Go Ape but is tired now.

    3) Hens OK and I cleaned out their sleeping quarters. They will be glad to revert from wormer food to normal food tomorrow.

    4) Did various jobs round the house. Bacon sandwiches for lunch. Homemade chicken nuggets and wedges for tea.

    5) Bigger son and I went for a walk in the forest and saw one fallow deer.

    6) Just been talking to my school friend on the phone.

    7) Bank holiday tomorrow so not a particularly early start!

ETA - a girl in bigger son’s school year has committed suicide over the weekend. No warning. I honestly don’t remember such numbers as this before. Bigger son’s friend was talking to her yesterday.

Oh Frith how awful, her poor family.

    Sunday pleasures,

Another awful night, came down at 6am for early morning cuppa and cuddles with small dog.

After usual suspects of bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge I went back upstairs to make the bed, decided to lie down instead and woke up an hour later, Capt S had been cutting the grass and was oblivious.

Met up with two pals for a cup of tea and a catch up, cake may also have been involved, well in my case a slice of warm treacle tart :D

Straight from there over to the stables, princess pony had decided to move fields herself again despite the electric fence being on! Had a chat with yard owner and a plan has been hatched.

All the candles are blossoming on the horse chestnut trees along with the lilacs and wisteria, gorgeous.

Early evening walk with small dog, found a tiny birds nest at the bottom of a hedge, no shells or the like so hopefully already used or last years.

A day of dizzy. Always worst first thing and then improves throughout day then wanes again in the evening.

Fell absolutely sound asleep again after being up to feed dog. Woke at 8.45am.

Walked to T with DD ...needed her to guide me across roads! It's quite disorientating checking to see if cars are coming!
Met friend on the way home so chatted to her for 10 minutes.

Cleaned all the inside Windows downstairs. Were rather streaky when the evening sun was shining through. There's a doggy who sniffs the glass and a seven year old who puts fingers all over it!

Hoovered and washed floors and for the umpty-thump time tidied the shoes in the shoe cupboard.

Had chicken Kiev and mashed potatoes with cabbage, cauli and carrots for tea.

Put my sweet pea seedlings in garden...this was during the nice spell...the one before the torrential rain and hailstones! Moved my pumpkin seeds onto laundry room window sill ( out the way ....was fed up of plastic tubs and kitchen roll cluttering my big windowsill) hopefully plant them in allotment at end of week.

Just put heating on for a bit as it's rather cool and going to watch my soaps under a blanket!

Hoping son is home soon so I don't need to do the doggy walk!

A lovely message from my Canadian friend in Australia...brought a wee tear to my eyes!

A new Royal baby boy. How lovely :) ...we are just waiting on our baby boy putting in an appearance in next couple of weeks.

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

MHags - you've reminded me re: sweet pea seeds! I haven't even planted mine yet!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Took bigger son to work at Go Ape.

    3) Hens OK.

    4) Pottered around the house.

    5) Did some English Lit revision with smaller son.

    6) Tasty tea of curry and rice then wanted to use some cherries from the freezer so I just made chocolate and cherry fairy cakes - they turned out well!

    7) I've decided the drive to Kent (holiday) is too long. Bigger son was to drive half way (will be in Nepal) then MrA said he would drive but he is no longer around... I don't drive on motorways so it will take well over 6 hours...

Anyway, looked to see what is half way and hoping to book YHA glamping pods tomorrow!

Nothing else to report from here - a very quiet day.

    Monday pleasures,

Popped in to horsey town for a few bits and saw trainer JF riding out with his string.

Emporium was blessedly quiet, the lady on the till said that it had been heaving 30 mins before, phew!

Family over for a meal, good chat with DN and he told me his plans for the future. All food eaten and enjoyed which gives me a lot of pleasure.

Little dog enjoyed having more people over to fuss around.

We took her out for her evening walk much later than normal, heard the little owl calling from one of the beech trees but no sighting.
  • Well wes back from up Norff! FiL is ok, but while he is in the care of the Hospital, next door had an incident with their cleaner and he has a new fire alarm. Anyhow, he is inn as good as !!!!le as he can be. Not like dad BoP who decided enuff! That’s the problem, yous sees as BoP has Jenny, it does change your thinking, but I am only here once, I is going to enjoy it! So as longs as millwright has cash, I’ll take it! That way I can see the world. Nows, FiL is still wanting to enjoy!

    What happens when we don’t?

When I did my final year later, one peer on nearly giving up 6 moths before the end, I said he only had six more moths to go. He replied that its ok BoP, but I’ve been in education for 17 years!

Had filo prawns, fish and chips inn Steels Corner House Fryday. Bit disappointed that the Signal Box inn was closed. Still had wobbleades and dropped a prize out of the ball grab machine! Gave it away as someone had left a go on it!

Found a brekfest place just out of Meggie town, Veronica’s Larder. Well worth a snorker or two, proper snorkers sweet cured and not that pulped cardbored carp from the emporium! Oh, and I note people are also eating bacon banjos! Got it, Better still is an squirty Bacon and Egg banjo!

Watched the cricket and speedway yesterday! Wooblefizz was consumed! Raffles does like the new matching walls and cushion inn the lounge, and is quite happy on his cushion! He is on his ‘hare of the dog!’ tinned food for this weak.

On abouts food, today inn BoP’s packed out lunch box, wes has orange, strawbs, toms, cheese, segment cheese, a chocolate biscuit from w8rs and two proper digestives. Good for yous!

Did the treader service yesterday and is all set for a summer of riding the bike. BoPsie’s back is not matching colours as she bust her forks a few years back.

Cleaned the yard table of dried paint so wes ready for summer.

Was at the kite shed on Sunday. It is important to pass on inspirations to others. Kept mes inn pocket and wobbleades!

PM2DD One hopes that the rusted scoonts are not saved by Bolton! Put on radio yesterday to hear their comments and the programme is off til August. One hopes to play them first game just like in August 1971 when Matt Tees rose above them and buried the ball in the back of the net. 4-1 that day! Bring it on! Bring it on!

Look, another Bank Holiday is only a …
