Yikes to this blooming weather! It's so blooming chilly! However it has been dry when I've been out and the showers have only been little ones .
Up bright and early and friends daughter dropped off and we had a good chat on the way to school.
Had started painting shelves and just absolutely hated it so had to quickly wash it all off before it stuck!
Hoovered, floors washed , bathrooms cleaned.
Quick chat with DD1. We've started a fundraising event doodah to raise funds for OH's oncologist's research. I'm doing a huge big inflatable obstacle course and she's doing a huge big hike!
Awh....lovely Archie being introduced to the world. How lovely.
Quick doggy walks. On the 4pm one Haggis just wants home for his tea.
We had lasagne, roast potatoes and roast carrots ( was inspired after watching Australian Masterchef !) with cabbage and cauliflower and broccoli. Stuffed!
Oh my goodness...the amount of birds in the garden this morning...being glared at by Haggis! I'd put an uneaten croissant out and it was gone in seconds! DD2 last Friday 'oh get me a chocolate croissant ' The mother on Wednesday...well this is obviously not being eaten and was rather dry looking! Note...no more for her!
Managed to get washing dry enough outside despite the tiny showers.
Phoning the vets to see why my monthly fee hadn't came off ...it's my free month ( and next) ...had to pay 3 months up front when scheme started. So technically not free as I've paid it but an extra £15 for me this month.
Quick chat to niece , she was feeling better today than she'd been yesterday. Due in a week or so.0 -
Pleasures for today (Wednesday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Took bigger son to my brother in law's, who then took him to an escape room! It's some sort of game...
3) Had a cup of tea with my sister and niece.
4) Hens OK.
5) Bigger son and brother in law reappeared and we had sandwiches and cake. Bigger son introduced brother in law to the Walking Dead :-D
6) Smaller son refused to go to his college interview :-/ so I went in with all the paperwork and no one looked surprised. In the lift the SENCo said, "I've had a read through his EHCP" and I said, "Oh, but you don't appear to be running away!" and she didn't find that funny at all! The IT man was fairly jolly and asked lots of questions to see if he has chosen the right course. So he's got a conditional offer to do the IT Technician course starting in September. He needs 4 level 3 GCSEs (the old D grade). It seems they have a teaching assistant already who really loves working in the IT department so he could have her as his TA. Smaller son is dead chuffed and will go on a tour after the end of term when it is all quiet.
7) Rather enjoyed driving through very deep flash floods and hail!
8) Bigger son made fajitas for tea.0 -
1. Frith - DS2 made fajitas for tea too.
2. A friend appeared on This Morning. I then had to download it and watch her.
3. I didn't blow my top at work. I was fuming with people not doing their job and pestering me when I was doing my job.
4. Spoke with two neighbours who I don't usually see. Our road is closed which made parking difficult so I asked one of them whether any of her children were there that evening so DS1 didn't park in this place.
5. Painkillers working to a certain extent.0 -
Wednesday pleasures,
Woke up to steady, gentle rain, just what the garden needed.
The smell of the stocks that sit in a vase on the hearth.
A day of pottering at home, it was cold so soup for lunch.
My pony was pleased to see me when I brought her in from the field, her rug had done its job and kept her dry but we had obviously rolled as the sandy earth was imbedded in her mane
Anything LFC can do the Spurs can do better, another come back worthy of a place in the final, this made my beloved very happy.0 -

Frith, one of my friends, whose son is very autistic, had the devil's own job to get him educated. Had to home ed him through years 10 and 11, he went to mainstream 6th form and got one, I think, fairly poor grade A level but a BTEC in ICT. He then did an HNC in something computery and has just started his first full-time job working as a web-designer for a local company. Said company were so keen for him to start they've allowed him to work part time around finishing the HND, which should happen in the next few weeks before he then commences proper full-time. So proud of him and her for getting him to this position.... :T Keep going, you're doing great
Pleasures for yesterday:
1. Cleaned ICT house before train home
2. Managed a quick sea circuit in the drizzle before getting on the train.
3. someone had done the hoovering and OH did the shopping.
4. met up with friends from kids' primary school days for a catch up and
5. had a veggie mushroom, broccoli and cheese wellington..
Back to typing - have nice day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
So last day the bank of under the mattress text’d mes and said I has no money in their vault. I should text ‘em back and say Correctomundo! It is in my Building Society! Please do not treat this as financial advice! Nows mes bank has had same password since July 1999! I really should change it you cants bee too careful! Oh, no one has even got close to copying it!
Nows on watching film from forex player, it murmured before the start that this film reflects the attitude of the time it was filmed and may upset some viewers. The past is a differing county! Shame no one talks about the empty tables at the end of the another film, but the dog! How our so called pre-judgemental thoughts are looking for the wrong and not the … No that was just one of the films, another, Guess who’s coming to dinner! Apt, blow me! Both films about a dinner?
And yous knows the best thing every night is that cup of proper cocoa and the marmite buttered hot toasted crumpet! Well not if yous bin watching the football, and inn Palias de BoP we have had too good nights. Now for the main event, the Gooners! WobblyFizz. Come on, but LT and DD. No one comes from two goals donw in a semi final do they!
Actually I was rather greenwashed with the WobblyFizz last night, no plastic can holder, all nicely glued together. Brilliant! Oooooops, no, there was a plastic carry handle! Oh poo poo, wes remove the ring can holder and replaced it with another indigestible plastic handle! Still, lets not kid oursens eh!
As you are aware BoP was inn Steels last Fryday! Now he needs to trim off that offering and will be herding to gym tomorrow. Getting Beach ready again!
Food, nows inn BoP’s special packed lunch box todays we has the usual toms, strawbs, orange, chocolate w8rs biscuit, two proper digestives, wood of apple cheese and a Topic. Yes, a Hazelnut in every bite. Please be aware that if you suffer from a nut allergy, yous not going to get the pleasure of eating this like BoP is! BoPsie has even better chocolate in her sandwich box, them Lindt Ball things. Theres, ifs yous weres inn BoP Palais, that is what yous wood gets! Proper foods, and nice treats every so often!
Ons abouts foods, the BitSers fry of stir tea last nite was excellent! Usual mushrooms, peppers, onions, toms and cucumber, topped with nasta pasta 9not available inn the emporium) and then tossed with some sardines. BoPsie gave her approval.
I hear there is some fancy food stuff to hit the table. Marmite peanut butter, No No No No No No No! AVOID. No one should be fed peanut butter!
Nows on checking the refrigerator this morning, I noted that last night BoPsie had a glass of wobbleade, but I did buy her some wine. It is still there. Too me that is a complete waste, she sat drinking me wobbleade and had her own!
There, I thinks I will throw another piece of sooting virgin wood on the log burner knowing that …
I cannot wright the world, but for sods sake, I can turn the earth!
Good that the member for Plymouth Moor View has taken a stand. Roll on the thunder? Oh, ifs yous use that media device, it is not available. See BoP notes passim. Mind you when Nelson took over, they had reconciliation! We have an abhorrent ignorance!
Oh, the film about the Lancaster, one of them is on film4 on Monday afternoon!
Boy doesn’ts I rant!
Oh, I see the Baker has been sacked for a picture I have on my BuckFace postings! Ah, see notes above! By the way, on another post on BuckFarce. They are outlets selling you spices for around £10 a weak! AVOID!
Don’t forget to stop paying the regressive TV Tax.
One box ticked, another pandora waits to spring out!0 -
Waves from the welsh lands, I have just watched the most beautiful sunset with a cider. We are having a break from all technology no phones / web / TV etc, although if I can find a dvd of the new fantastic beasts release there may be an exception.:)
The drive here was not pleasant as the new to us car is lower making the van at a different angle, we developed 2 problems with towing the van on the way down which we are working on before we come back slowly, first up and very mainly the caravan stabiliser disintegrated on the way, which then caused a problem on the towbar and made for a very uncomfortable long journey down. We have ordered a new tow bar and new stabiliser being delivered to site and DH is able to fit so, we are hoping for a more comfortable journey home – phew.
We celebrated DHs birthday yesterday, the hm no sugar cakes a hit along with the many little presents and I think an 800 piece lego set.
The weather is alright there was one dodgy day but it’s brightening up nicely.
Apologies I haven’t caught up on posts and better log off, as I needed to connect to clear down the full email boxes. I'll catch up in a few days:D0 -
Bedtime. Alarm set for an early start tomorrow.
A day of much less dizzy.
Up early. Pottered around. Trying hard to keep on top of being tidy. Wanting things to be where they should be. Trying hard not to have clutter. With my birthday 'things' ( kind gifts) crept in. Baby stuff here instead of at the forthcoming baby's house! Currently nappies and wipes and boob pads taking up shelf space where I want to have my 'home office ' . Hopefully take them over this weekend. I have 3 visiting Australians in a month or so so want to get spare room sorted. Again! Tends to be the dumping ground.
Anyway washings out and in and dry. Inside Windows cleaned upstairs ( part from son's room as that's just asking the impossible! Can't get anywhere near the window ! ) upstairs hoovered and tidier.
drove to t, got a few bits and pieces.
Was summoned to my mothers! Sigh!
Home and kept trying to watch Australian Masterchef but kept dozing...then rewinding then dozing!
Started a book and finished a book. It was a lovely easy read with a nice happy ending!
Made the boy an omelette for his tea. Used up the last of the Camembert cheese ( ignored the use by date! ) and some chorizo and onion and tomatoes.
Picked up yet more rubbish whilst out and about! Grrrr to people who think it's okay just to drop it on the ground.0 -
Thank you, VJsmum.
Pleasures for today (Thursday already!)
1) Survived a dentists appointment.
2) Celebratory breakfast afterwards in town!
3) Bigger son drove to college and I looked round that town for a bit. A chat with the Boots lady about the hail storm and monsoon we had yesterday!
4) 3rd day of chats with MrS who I have "met" online. :-)
5) Went with my dad to price up new stove chimney components.
6) Tasty tea.
7) Smaller son's specialist teacher is coming round tomorrow to finalise GCSE arrangments - at 8.30am!! - so this led to a large dusting, cleaning and tidying of the house.0 -
