For yesterday
1. It was DS1 birthday. He had day off and went to cinema and put a load of washing in! He was pleased with his presents. We also gave him a couple of cacti as he enjoys looking after his.
2. We all went for a meal at a Turkish restauu. It was enjoyable, good food at a reasonable price and leftovers brought home in a doggy bag. It was also busy i which was surprising for a Monday evening.
3. Cake at work. Made day bearable.
4. A friend started divorce proceedings. The pleasure is that she is in a strong enough place for this to happen. She wouldn't have done this 6 months ago.
5. Sat in the garden with a coffee.0 -
Snap on the poo bags DD it’s surprising how many are living in the wild
Monday pleasures,
Bit of a frosty start but turned into a warm, sunny day so washing dried on the line.
Cracked through my chores and then sat on the swing seat to read my book for an hour.
Time spent with pony, she had a slightly pink nose from the sun so slapped some Sudocrem on it, the secret weapon of all equestrians.
Bit of a freezer clear out for tea, all tasty and enjoyed.
The setting sun hitting the crop in the field next door and turning it almost silver.0 -
Well due to the coals being rather damp and not smokeless yesterday inn the boiler room, and the notwork having trouble, BoP was just avoiding getting his message and dribble out to yous. Well today with spitted clean shovels, wes ready to let it go full steam.
Or inn other words, yestday I could has bin &’d!
Right so because of the wrong coal, you did miss out on an & sized spectacular and I wont repeat myself either! Except that …
Sunday BoP was inn the Toy Shop showing people the kites. BoP volunteers at the toy shop, so the next appearance of BoP is 25th May. No further details are available but less to say, time will fly by.
Of curse, BoP can also be seen at the gym getting beach ready!
This weak inn BoP’s lunch box we has had enuff of the proper digestives and are having cakes of Jaffa instead. Well theys weres on offer at the emporium! And the usuals.
Nows I has met with shovel master this day about the terms. We are close to what I needs and we will see! Apparently we are needing ink on the paper somewhere. More later. This is what it is like to be fantastic. BoPsie has said, and I would remind others, you must check that any figures used are in black indelible ink, and not some cheap crayon!
As of that BoPsie has declared that Thursday is Steak Night! Other meals are available!
There, it is done … Soon!0 -
We have a throng of mummy and daddy sparrows continually flitting between food source and the bushes, baby sparrows are always hungry.
Trip into the city on the bus and a walk to Asda for the first time, much closer than I'd realised and the prices amazingly reasonable. I got veggie and vegan things to last us a week, and various other dried goods to accompany them and also some ready made curries and a pack of paneer cheese cubes and it came to £25, amazing.
Found some nice things for DD1s soon to be baby in a charity shop , some tiny first size sleevless (just a frill) little body suits for if it's hot in September when she's due to arrive.
HWK had a cup of tea poured and ready for me when I got back home from the bus we sat in the garden in the sun to drink it, brilliant!
We're going to the pub for supper this evening so I don't have to cook, nice!0 -
Hello. Smashing day here.
Down at allotment just after 8am . Watered all my seedlings and the community bed ones. Raked through the second community bed. There are three. I've planted in one. The other has pre-existing rhubarb and strawberries. The third one I filled at weekend and turned over today. There's spare seeds in the shed/office so I shall plant next time ( unless someone else does! ) started weeding another area. Also just sat and enjoyed the tranquility of it all. Walked back the way I came. Usually go another way.
Picked up so much rubbish on the walk home. Grrrr! There is some random person who has one can of lager then chucks it on grass! Every blooming day!
Went to l!dl . I really do get so much more for my money than if I shop in T ( which is too handy) ...though a large parasol was not on my actual shopping list today , I did go back in and get the last one! It's been on my Wishlist since the last one blew across the garden in a storm last summer! This one is huuuuge!
Tidied. Washings done. Bathrooms cleaned. Sat in garden for a bit reading but it got too warm so went in and read.
Window cleaners came . Hurrah! And if those birdies poop on my clean glass tomorrow I'll not be happy!
Made lasagne and roast potatoes and roast carrots for tea. Just me on my own! DD out with friend and DS out climbing.
Haggis being lovely company. He has such a good sense of humour!0 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday).
1) Not a bad sleep but I have lost my anti grind guard (!) so the noise of teeth clicking keeps waking me up. For a few days I'd lost a hair band and today I found a pair of my clean pants in the garden! I think they fell off the clean washing mountain out of the window.
2) Hens OK.
3) Smaller son preferred today's GCSE (Biology) to yesterday's.
4) I sat in Sainsburys and had a pot of tea and waited for him.
5) Messages from MrX and we will be meeting up next Wednesday (not tomorrow). :-)
6) Tasty tea that is smaller son's favourite - just pasta with peas, mayonnaise and with oven baked salmon flaked into it. I'm following the BSD so I had salmon with roast peppers, courgette, tomato and carrot.
7) Planted out the rest of the sweet pea seeds. I've managed to plant enough in the allotment that I can now get all the seedlings on to one windowsill! Also put the geraniums (sown from seed) outside.
8) Picked bigger son up from nearest town where he had been out with the girl who is not his girlfriend. ;-)
9) In bed now and will watch Holby City just now.0 -

Tuesday pleasures,
Popped to the feed store for some chaff for pony, had a good chat with my friend who works there and found some low sugar, blackberry flavoured treats for girlie.
Feta and roasted veg wrap for lunch.
Another pal turned up with her mobile dog grooming salon and gave small dog a much needed haircut, no more hot dog
Sat in the garden and read my book.
The replacement part came for the water feature and the birds once again have shower as well as bath facilities.0 -
Pleasures for yesterday:
- During lunchtime, as part of mental health week, my mate J - who is somewhat of a cultural icon at the company - led about 30 of us on a nature walk by the river
- When I got in from work, I read my book for 20 mins outside in the sunny garden
- When DH got home, he and I went for an 8km run in the lovely sunshine
- And then we had homemade bean chilli, griddled asparagus and potatoes and guacamole. Followed by sharing a big orange and a bit of 81% dark choc. Yum. I love food.
- Reading my book in a hot bath
- Falling asleep naked, deliriously sleepy, with herbal smelling hair, in crisp sheets0
