Last day at the mill this weak and is time to paint the lounge, well final coat this weakened! At mill as it is dress down FryDay, BoP is wearing his tee shirt from San Francisco! Tea is being drunk!
Had the matured tikka chicken yesterday for tea. Nice, only a few left for tomorrow, amazing how moist it is this weak!
Gym tonight after BoPsie had her tummy bug. She’s not happy about it either!
PM2DD When the mariners lost against Cheltenham a few years back, Cheltenham went into Football League division Three. The following year they were relegated. Later, when the next season fixtures came out, Notts County said they were in receivership! Poetic justice tomorrow if Grimsby relegate Notts County!
I read theres to be another Bond movie. That will be another nite out on the back row with BoPsie soon. Other films are available.
Minds yous we needs another film to watch. Weres in the flix nets now. Just watched Steve Martin and Marty Short. Well worth paying less than the TV Tax for. Wes still inn the dining room! Raffles has gets him.
Really like this day of each month watching mes and BoPsie’s pension pots being filled up with me cash! Made me wander. Theres going to be a lot of 50 plus peoples who paid nothing on their mortgage for twenty years plus, suddenly realise they still owe about £50,000 and no means to pay because they cashed their endowments!
Raffles was in barge mode this morning about his food. Some days hes can nos wait until BoP has put his socks and kegs on after his grooming, shave and shower! He had mongoose today! Other cat food is available!
Now gobble that up, that’s all the BoP news from the mill this weak!0 -
The naughty chocolate biscuit I just ate while I was putting away the shopping!
A clump of bearded deep purple irises in someone's front border as we drove down our road.
I didn't hate being in Tesco today, I normally do because it's heaving but today it was quite empty and much nicer.
A darling little tot in a pushchair who smiled angelically and offered me her half eaten apple so I pretended to take a bit and said nom nom little brother a tiny bit older clutching a squashed banana sidled up, grinned in a most engaging way and held that up for me to pretend to take a bite too, mum was rolling laughing and so was I, fantastic stuff.
It hasn't rained as much as was forecast (yet) and we got all our jobs done in relatively dry conditions, a blessing indeed.0 -
Mrs LW, I'll see your choccy biccie and raise you 6 mint Aero pieces.
Shattered, bad night, up early and shattered now, I bet I’m wide awake in an hour.
1 I was up very early, bedding changed, hoovered, 3 loads of washing done.
2 Bacon roll for lunch
3 Nearly finished loading the van.
4 Ran errands dropping off parcels, picking up prescription.
5 Took 2 fuzzies to the vets, both with issues one is mild and very treatable with a med and also a quarter of a piriton, the other isn’t simple, 3 days of tests, then Monday we go back to the vets and he starts antibiotics while we swap samples for the tests to check whats wrong, bless him they love him to bits, he’s 8 years old and blind as a bat, the most gentle animal you’ll ever meet. It was a very long and stuck in traffic journey to vets and back so when close to home did a slight detour to the fish and chip shop for tea.
6 It’s DH’s birthday while we are away, and he has to be low sugar, I can bake low to no sugar cupcakes down to a fine art now, and I’ll do them in a few days so they have less time in the freezer, but I made the topping today following a recipe and I’ve frozen it down, It tasted so good I had to reign myself in from making 2 batches. I just hope it freezes and defrosts okay.
7 Someone stopped by tonight to pick up 2 boxes of DFs things I gifted away on the free site. Using it reminded me why I swapped from there to FB, less time wasters ironically.0 -
Hello. Been a wet and a cold day here though was dry when I was in town.
Woken by a dog wanting out but at 6am so that's perfectly doable!
Went in to town. Dropped DD off at college enroute. She'd an essay to hand in.
Popped into a few charity shops. Bought a pair of leggings for a pound sand a pair of never worn green trousers for £2. Still had their £20 label attached. Both will do for allotment.
Met up with DD. Went to lidl. A few things RTC. Soap powder on offer and a couple of lavender plants.
Home just as heavy rain started.
The niecelys popped in.0 -
Day off.
1. Changed bed sheets. Also did early.
2. House tidied and no shoes lying about until 1st person arrived home.
3. Made risotto for the first time. It was good and easy to do.
4. Cleaned my car which looks so much better now.
5. Did some gardening. Looking tidier. Day was dry and at times really warm.
6. Chat with neighbour.
7. Both sons went to see the Avengers film. It was the 10.30on show.0 -
Friday pleasures,
A day at the north norfolk coast.
The drive down was easy and it’s lovely to see the brilliant greens of the trees and hedges.
It was a tad windy but no rain thankfully, we walked for miles along the beach and little dog had a paddle. We saw a seal playing in the shallows, surfing in on the waves and then swimming back out to do it all again.
Lunch at the local pub, food was very tasty, reasonably priced and staff was so friendly. Little dog enjoyed being fed chips under the table
We were all tired in the evening but watched Gogglebox and lol at the older lady who mixed up organism with orgasm :rotfl:0 -

Have a good weekend everyone. Will try to do betterI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
I've made us a vegan tagine for our main meal today and it smells delicious.
Popped to the village and found 3 new tops for me in the charity shop sale at £1 each.
Found a Spotters Guide to Flowers, trees and birds for James's eldest lad who is beginning to be interested and they can keep it in the car and take it when they go to the woods etc. which they do quite a lot.
Huge gust of wind a couple of minutes ago and a kerthunk from outside in the back garden but the pleasure is it didn't break anything, just blew over the garden chairs, the bird table and the cover from the log store but nothing actually broke, phew!!!
Being back indoors after my walk to the village, there were times when the wind was blowing so hard I was being blown along the pavement towards the road whenever I went by a gap in the shops, not nice at all.0 -
Hello. Not particularly windy here today just WET!
Early morning dog alarm.
Went to allotment, drove half way ( which always feels like cheating though i still have a fair walk to do) got rather wet. Arrived at exactly the same time as another woman. We both went 'soil!' A whole big pile of topsoil had been delivered by local council! Hurrah . Filled my second bed. And my two bags for growing potatoes. Then more people came and chatted with them. Even more soaked! Planted 2 raspberry canes and a blueberry bush (£1 each from pound land). Amazing what a bit of rain over a few days does.
Walked back to car , drove to T ( absolutely covered in muck ) got a few things including 36p Easter eggs . Shall use them for baking.
Dropped DD off at work...picked DD up from work. Dropped DD off at work. Split shift. Son just away to collect her.
Dog cuddles. Where I was . He was.
Just missed being smashed into today. Van in front took the brunt as a bigger van just reversed out obviously without looking. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to do anything? Both drivers got out and were walking. Van in front of me was stationary ( we were stuck in traffic) and big van just drove straight back into him.
Not really had a tea as was taking DD to work at teatime and have just been grazing all day.
Lovely peonies, my favourite florist had put an ad on FB. DD messaged me to see if I'd pick her up...only if you grab me some peonies! Love them. One of my favourite flowers.
Wrote a letter to DD1 and went a walk to post box with dog. Soaked through for the second time today.
Surprisingly lovely sunset.0 -
1 I moved some small flower pots into the greenhouse to stop them being blown about.
2 I have swapped out some pasta in the van for brown pasta, trying to eat better naturally.
3 Dug out the big box of digitised CDs to refill the car, as quite frankly other than that it picks up I think Radio 1 with obtuse music or a deeply classical station but nothing else. Its old but it works, DH keeps threatening to upgrade me but I don’t see the point yet when I suspect the car while running may be off the road in a year or 2 with rust creeping / running in.
4 Remembered to be in it to win it, hmm well you never know.
5 Our little fighter is doing very well touch wood, we have everything crossed he’s so incredibly gentle. I’m hoping for a few more years but then I always am! Our little rescue is starting to come out of his shell and find his way around.
6 I’ve just spent a while chopping and preparing any fruit and veg that I don’t think we will use and put in the dehydrator, a pleasure not to waste it.0
