  • Great news on radio thing this afternoon. The rusty nail works tea, Scoooonts, are in the zone. The relegation zone. That is soo good to cheer! DD @ the ‘Theatre of Fish’, they’ll be hooked.

Another dump run, and Raffles landing table is clear again.

First emulsion coat is on, Willow Green. Follow wisdom of BoP. Always use proper paints, ours has that dog on the can!

Cleaned inside of car, was a bit of water from somewhere. Will check later.

Now for another games night. Wobbleades are chilling inn the refrigerator. BoPsie wants a rematch. Usual rules.

Evening! It's been another beautiful day. One more tomorrow then it's rainy and cooler supposedly!

Was down at allotment for just after 8am. Beautiful. My happy place. Pulled some weeds. Watered my seeds. And filled third bed with a couple more buckets of soil. It probably needs more but I think for what I want to grow its deep enough.

My neighbours popped in to allotment so ended up walking back up the road with them and their dog.

Had nabbed some more rhubarb. I'm just chopping it and squeezing it into freezer. I'm hoping the much needed rain will make a difference to my little crop .

Pottered around tidying up. Hoovered. Washed floors. Emptied dishwasher. 2 loads washing on, out and back in.

Cut front and back grass. Which doesn't really take very long.

Had a nice lunch of chicken and rice and salad.

Had the last piece of lemon drizzle cake later.

Was out in garden for a bit on sofa but it's really too hot for me so came in. Then went back out later.

Ordered a pair of boots in Schuhs clearance department. I have the same pair in black, these are purple . Fly London ones. They're compatible with my very ( at the moment) plantar fasciitis-y right foot!
About 60% less then got an extra 10% off with DD student discount code and free delivery.

Right I'm off to watch my soaps and undecorate my Easter stuff.

1 Enjoyed a lay in, did take the paintings off the wall, stash them away and wash the wall in preparation for getting more paint tomorrow thou.
2 We have a listed wall at the end of the garden, with gaps in the top, so today I weeded it all out, put in fresh soil and planted along the top with marigolds, lobelia and trailing geraniums. Planted a memorial plant in the garden borders and planted something near the front door where nothing seems to want to grow.
3 The fridge is very bare, but I ruffled up a tiny roast pork joint, with mash and veg and apple sauce.
4 We just made very short work of a share bag of maltesers.
5 A lovely long catch up with DB.

MrsLW - I couldn't find the Gt Malvern train but that's the sort of route we took last time we went to Brighton - missing out London. We went from Pershore, I think.

    Pleasures for today (Monday, confusingly).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Ate mainly chocolate.

    3) Took bigger son to work and walked in the forest. Saw 2 pale fallow deer plus 3-4 brown deer lying in the bluebells.

    4) Hens well.

    5) Went to mum and dad's to print out some piano music (Queen), which mum played on her piano and I practised when I got home.

    6) Broccoli cheese with gammon for tea.

    7) Bigger son and I just got back from a walk in the forest where we saw a stag!

We just came home from 3 days in the Peak District. We stayed at a youth hostel (Edale) and the whole package was £420 (family of 3) for two nights accommodation, all hot meals, being ferried here there and everywhere and loads of activities including canoeing, abseiling, weaseling and a guided walk. It was LUSH!

    Highlights included:
    - The weather
    - Lambs. Everywhere.
    - My daughter not complaining about us taking her 5 miles, including lots of precarious climbs.
    - Realising for the price we had a private room with en suite bathroom!
    - Yummy food

    Pleasures for yesterday:
    - Washing hanging in the breeze
    - Went for a 3 hour walk yesterday through woodland and fields, then dipped into town and...
    - ...spent only £10 to get us enough groceries for the week (trying to eat out of freezers and cupboards)
    - Lovely meal of YS mushrooms and YS spinach made into a sort of risotto for lunch
    - Ending the day snuggling down in clean sheets

Love the sound of that wall PK

    Monday pleasures,

A rough night sleep wise so a very welcome lie-in.

Productive morning in the garden, moved some of my herbs that are in pots and have a small list of what I need.

As the beech trees unfurl their leaves the small husks covering them come away so a continuous shower of these all day.

Sleepy pony in the warm afternoon sunshine.

A cheeky takeaway when someone couldn’t be bothered to cook :D
  • No, only here is where you get the BoP news you …

Slow ride back to the mill, and the M4 was chocker. Note, BoP does not do the M4 inn the morning as it is always chocker. AVOID! Other routes are available.

As BoP is back at the mill it is time for details on his packed lunch box again. Two proper digestives, one w8rs chocolate covered digestive, wrapped! Cheese, not smoked apple of wood, toms, strawbs and an orange. Goodness for you.

Boilers are fired up and tea is on! Got to start rite and with the proper digestives in the lunch box, there can be no better start! Besides, Shovel Master has yet to get close to …
Please think of BoPsie today, shes got the …. Lurgy!

The lounge at Palais de BoP is looking good, final coat of emulsion goes is being put on this Saturday. Remember that BoP says, emulsions are for walls, not that glycerine coloured stuff for in the margarine! Blinds are ordered. Just need to convert some wobbleade chits for the floor! Raffles is impressed!

As mentioned, BoP was at the dump twice on Bank Holiday weakened, and got inn and out no problemo. Nows there was younger guy with big sack of garden waste slowly unloading. Well, I gave a hand and we tipped it all inn one fould swoop. He left happy as he did the run the same time as BoP. So next time someone needs a hand, it only takes you a minute, but saves others a lot more!
Minds yous, as muted in BoP posts over christmas! Was inn w8rs last day getting groceries inn!
Domestic between a couple getting ready meal tack inn for over £130 yet discussing that they money had run out to pay the mortgage! No darling, don’t buy carp food! I had some lass look into our windas when I did my degree! She was obviously worried not about me and paying the mortgage with BoPsie scraping every penny we had! Wells one day when me and mate were doing a project, the Bailiffs turned up. I shouted to me may, be quick, I thinks it’s the bailiffs this time, he shot down stairs, looked and was ready to put up the call, when I told him it was the house across the road with that nice lady! They had her out within minutes! A couple of years later when we sold up, the estate agent came around and remarked that he was there when she was booted out, and she was only a month in arrears with the Dunfermline! I explained that we are three months behind and …

Oh they had a nice 18 plate car of Germanic extraction.

    I let you guess how!

    What more did you want?

When Christchurch happened, condemnation was out within minutes! We then had Sri Lanka and Ms McKee!

    Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Was it Buzby who said it was good to talk?

No wander the Veterans are marching. Oh, that was not on the news thing either. As muted before, BoP has not watched BBC news since 21:33Z 1982-05-03!

Breakfast will be good this Saturday at the Veterans Breakfast Club!

Dear me I has ranted a bit this day!

Jenny sends her :heartpuls to all the needy. Mind you she had a shocker this morning! BoP is ok! Just that every so often she lets me know shes on it!

That’s all for your version of ‘The Life of BoP’ today. With any luck, you can continue tomorrow with more happenings in BoP!

Keep on going going BOPs Jenny.

1 The day started by digging down to the mower and strimmer, plugging in the strimmer, cussing as it’s part broken, the only way to get it to work was to kind of jab it into the ground to get it to extend further reel, and so it went on for a while. The mower badly needs a service and I may actually pay someone to do it as long as it involves more than an oil change. After 10 attempts it ordained to spring to life after 6 months off, the pleasure being the garden looks all cared for again. It only took the morning.

2 Animals have been sick, which prompted a complete clean of kitchen and lounge, and a call to book him into the vets. A pleasure that it’s done.

3 Re dug out the decorating bits and bobs and got on with starting another wall, first coat on half of the wall.

4 Easy omelette and beans tonight, as I forgot to play freezer tetris last night. Ops. There are some bits now defrosting in the fridge.

5 Just back from a great exercise class, now there’s a pleasure I never thought I would write, and it turns out I can’t walk like an Egyptian.
