For yesterday
1) 1st night of '12 steps for a better night's sleep' ate before 8:30, last cup of tea 9:20 (ok 10 mins later than advice but), leave computer downstairs, in bed by 10, 20 minutes reading, zzzz. then boys needed a pee at 12:15 (they're not used to me being in bed so early). Then i woke at 5:15.
2) after excellent meeting up at ninewells, bus down to station to meet research colleague. We had an early lunch at the V&A posh restaurant (usually needs booking so lucky) overlooking the Tay and the Discovery
3) then we went to my office for a couple of hours' work
4) then we two-handed did a webinar (that was luck - originally i was going to be doing it on my own)
5) then we went for a light supper at DCA, then she to her train and me to a 2 hour PhD supervision back at the Tower. So a long day and not very mse but very productiveMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

SOunds like a fab holiday, BoP
Pleasures for SUnday
1. Nice bathy and watched episode 1 of "Cheat" - it definitely wasn't anything like my university...:rotfl: paper essays, no turnitin, no exam boards....
2. Fetched OH from the airport. Nice to have him back. 2 weeks is a long time.
3. we went for a walk in the sunshine
4. he cooked roast chicken for tea - he cooked cos he needed to stay awake and I needed to go and fetch DD from con where she had a fab time
5. watched the end of Baptiste
And yesterday
1. yoga, nice gentle one for a Monday morning
2. typing typing. I feel like I am at the very limit of my abilities and i'm definitely not sure I am good enough. There is no pleasure in this, except that I am dogged and will keep going
3. OH cooked sausages and cauli cheese for tea. the last two days I've eaten more meat than I did in the whole 2 weeks he was gone
4. Speaker Bercow makes me laugh, I think he has become his own caricature "Division" "Clear the lobby..." "Orrrrrdddeeeeerrrrrr" :rotfl:
5. Banked...
Have a lovely day all - more typing for me...I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Yes. Seen all about Andy in the Cable Car Museum. Still got ticket so ...
Thanks VJ. I take it #WREXIT is ...
Did the boot last night at sunset. Yous lit will has to wait to see the pictures of the gate of golden. BoPsie was a tad wobbly on her legs, the boat was moving too much for her. Had shrimp and bits on the Pier 39.
Now to Starbrokes for tea and croissant. Zapping the ap. Then down town. More later.0 -
1 Up early to drop the new boy off to the vets his wheels are coming off and he had dental work, manicure and microchip while under. It’s a long trek to a good vets but peace of mind makes it worth it. I am always in awe of just how chilled the aussie vet is.
2 Back home and on with cleaning as none has been done in a very long time now, I think this might be the third week? So started with our bedding, and the animal bedding, then mirrors, bathroom and hoovering. But left it at that rather than doing the whole house.
3 A simple soup and roll for lunch.
4 Brown pasta veg and a few sliced sausages was dinner.
5 I’ve loaded up my car managed to get it all in for a big tip run tomorrow.0 -
Hello. I've just come to bed in the hope of warding off a possible lurgy! Twice in last few days I was in company of 'oh I've got this horrid bug!' Well thanks heaps for coming to mine with it. I'm still blooming spluttering from the last one 6 weeks ago. Throat is very scratchy and nose very drippy .
Went to l!dl first thing. Got a few things for my birthday tea for Friday but will probably have to go back down on Thursday as didn't have what I wanted in stock. Met a friend and had a quick blether.
Walked over to big T and got my glasses sorted. 'How did this happen?' Well really because I am very careless with them but said oh I don't know!
Met someone I did my nursing training with. Quick chatter.
Went to the R@nge which I actually can't really be bothered with. I think its because it's too big but it had the tiny cake cases I wanted. Went over to @sda and once again met someone I know! Quick chatter.
Home and quick dog walk before I emptied the car. I hate putting shopping away. Washed fridge out first.
Started watching the film United Kingdom ( on iplayer ) and quite enjoyed what I've seen so far.
Had lasagne with peas and RTC rocket for tea.
Made brownies for the birthday tea. I usually make from scratch but tried a mix from lidl ( about 65p) and added mini eggs . Apparently it's nice. Taste test by son. Warnings issued to not pinch before Friday.
Dog snuggles. Always welcome.0 -
Now having sandwich and strawbs at ocean beach. Great Highway. BoPsie is getting some pacific air on her. Now having a drink in caff.
More later.0 -

4) mrpiano picked me up from work and we went to mr t which is just as well as nearly out of milk
5) home, supper, episode of fleabag (series 2 episode 1 so have to be strong about leaving tech downstairs tonight!), walked the dogs and now off to bed. left my bedroom window open all day so lovely along with clean bedding (see 2) bedroom lovely and fresh.
