    Sunday pleasures,

Up early after yet another rough night so first cuppa was a much loved thing.

Did give me the chance to get a piece of braising beef in the SC, although small dog was confused about me cooking at 7.30am!

Listened to the Hurchers omnibus and then finished my book.

Popped over to see pony, she had been brought in early due to horrid weather and was happily munching hay in her stable.

The beef was yummy with loads of veggies, followed by fruit & yoghurt.

  • A warm day today, after our mini snowstorm yesterday and a frozen world this morning it has turned into a beautiful if breezy spring day.

Went for a walk this afternoon and got told off by a tiny wren, who hopped along beside me from the church to the road all the way along the path 'chick-chicking' his displeasure at every bush, love 'em.

Found a reduced tea loaf in the Co Op.

Found a lovely play gym for the two new to be babies in the charity shop for £2.50

House is cleaned top to bottom today, beds changed and bedding washed and drying, all towels changed, washed, dried and back in the airing cupboard.....am now tired but happy! and I have tea, what's not to like?

    1. Seeing the blossom on my fruit trees in my garden.

    2. DS1 used the washing machine again.

    3. In typical fashion for him DS2 fell over and hurt his knee on his way to a first aid course. He hurt his knee which is bruised but otherwise ok. He has been known on more than one occasion to attend the first aid tent at rugby festivals before matches had began.o

    4. Starting a new book which I am enjoying. I've been putting off reading it.

    5. £50 cheque arrived in the post.

    Monday pleasures,

    Scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Like VL I noticed the blossom popping up in the hedges everywhere, it’s a cheery sight as the wind & rain lashes down!

My history reference book turned up so all systems go for my OL course.

Went to see horse girlie, on the whole she was good although she had a tiny meltdown at one point but nothing like as bad they used to be.

Tea was yummy, cashew & carrot burgers with goats cheese stuffed mushrooms.
  • No pleasures today as taxman has struck!

    That is it then!
  • A visit to my friend and Ruby dog for coffee this morning, what a welcome!

meeting my other friend in town for another coffee later on in the morning.

The rain stopped, the sun came out, we went for a lovely walk.

Second coffee friend has offered us a travel cot for the soon to be grandpickles.

Ironing done, house clean and tidy, main meal had at lunchtime and I don't need to cook for supper, smashing.

iPad had ran out if battery last night so double pleasures this evening.

Yesterday it had been snowing overnight. Car windscreen needed iced on snow hacked off! Had an early appointment for bloods.

neighbour was just passing by as I was putting recycling out..is your garden all finished? Would you like to see it? Yes !

Then neighbour/friend came and we went a nice doggy walk with the old lady dog. Haggis and her walked back nicely side by side.

Walked to T and amongst other things got some pretty flowers RTC. Nice walk back.

We had sausages that had been baked with onion marmalade squashed in a nice crusty baguette for tea.

Today. Dry but windy ( till 3pm) so much washing out on line ( nearly took off at times!)

Stopped to watch a blackbird having a very splashy bath in a puddle. And if I hadn't stopped I wouldn't have seen the wee Robin in the hedge behind. He's often about when we do our early morning dog walk. Thought I'd missed him.

Friend came in at 10am. Had made lemonade scones. Delicious has always. She kindly gave me a set of tea light holders , heart shaped with live, laugh, love on them. It's my mantra. They are very pretty and even better she got them in a charity shop. Saw them and thought of me which was lovely.

Sat in dining room on my big chair and watched the wind and the rain in the garden. Rather wild.

Glad I'm not out in it. Lasagne and potato wedges ( last of RTC potatoes) in oven. About to put comfy jammies on and I'm in for the night!
