    Pleasures for today (Friday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Took smaller son to school then bigger son to college. For the first Friday in ages, bigger son's college had actually got some lecturers in place!

    3) Went to my brother in law's to get most of the rest of the greenhouse.

    4) Hens OK.

    5) Went to mum and dad's and had pheasant curry for lunch.

    6) Bigger son helped my brother move some massive fallen ash trees and they came back here afterwards for a quick board game.

    7) I worked in the garden for an hour or so, weeding and sweeping.

    8) Chips from the van for tea.

    9) Went to see Mark Steele in canal town with bigger son. Son saw his old maths teacher and said, "There's Mr C - and he's.... got a WIFE!" which amused me!

    10) An exciting parcel arrived from overseas for smaller son.

    11) In bed with 2 hwb and will listen to the radio.

    Hello Peeps!

Missing you! Though I think I have caught up now. :)

    Busy, busy, busy .......

    Yesterday

    1. DH in London, so Made morning cup of tea and returned to bed to drink it.

    2. Given cover for Friday morning, so went to meeting and got on with some admin. (Sadly, only one thing crossed off my list).

    3. Partial victory :j ......I have been trying to organise a visit for a group of students. The logistics were tricky. Gave the paperwork in late. Permission denied ...... Venue could not change the date as the invoice had already been paid, so grudgingly allowed to go ahead,by SLT, if we leave some students behind. So going on the visit on Monday. :rotfl:

    4. Bought curry meal boxes from Mr T on the way home. They are 25% off and No cooking. :j

    5. DH watched a Jurassic Park movie, and I fell asleep on the sofa. Rock and Roll :o

    Have a lovely day :)

    Hey HouseElf :)

    Friday pleasures,

A parcel arrived for me, some of my favourite bamboo socks, not very MSE but I was stupidly pleased at how natty my sock draw looked!

Had a lesson on princess pony, we worked on our bending and suppleness, she is a clever little cookie and picks things up v quickly.

Out with friends in the evening, couple of drop outs due to illness but lovely all the same.

Managed to more or less stick to BSD with surf & turf plus salad, very tasty steak.

Dropped friend off in the middle of her housing estate and managed to follow her directions to get back out!

    1. Day off. Always good.

    2. Irritating jobs done. Can get the vacuum out of the cupboard easily now and the cutlery drawer is in order. Not sure for how long though.

    3. Email from my parents. They are still away. They are back later this month.

    4. Tiny amount of gardening done but have a slightly bigger vegetable bed now.

    5. DS2 cooked tea and relaxing evening with everyone watching tv.
  • I'm indoors and not outside where the wind is as wild as I've seen it in a while and things are blowing around randomly. The force of it lifted a house brick holding two garden bags down and flung it onto the top of a storage barrel, the bags flew but luckily I caught them.

DD2 has finally told DD1 that she is pregnant too so I don't have to mind what I say in case I let the secret out too soon.

We booked theatre matinee seats yesterday to see Peter Pan Goes Wrong, was hilarious when televised so looking forward to that very much.

Housework up to date, ironing up to date and cupboards all sorted in the kitchen.

6 Nations on the TV this afternoon, woo hoo, love the Rugby!

    1) beautiful morning, went off to a decluttering workshop run as part of another church's climate challenge fund. Good fun, some more contacts made and have found out places to pass things onto
    2) called in at the library. returned 1 book and took out The Outrun which was recommended at yesterday's bookclub
    3) last of the dhal for lunch with last of buckwheat. i am working my way through the larder
    4) clean bill of health from optician. getting good value from the NHS - mammogram, cervical screening, tooth extracted and now eye check-up, all free at point of delivery
    5) met dd2 at a tea shop after. We came back for the engerland game. 'got any biscuits?' 'no sorry' so decided to make some. ages since i've made biscuits, had to use self raising rather than plain flour, rubbed fat into flour first by mistake, wanted to get back to rugby rather than roll out so made into sausage and sliced. General verdict - best biscuits ever! (have to take her and mrpiano's word as still on sloppy food)
mrpiano is going out for a curry with another friend. i have declined, favouring instead a quiet evening and an early night :D

Hello. I'm all aches and pains! Need to make sure I put the right cream on the right spot! Done my anti-ageing one for my lines round eyes ( free from DN...expensive cream that has made a bit of a difference! My foot cream to try and keep my feet soft! I have always such achy feet with plantar fasciitis and I've just rubbed anti-inflammatory gel into my hips in the hope they won't ache too much!

We've had almost every weather type today. Wind. Rain. Snow. Sun. Repeat often!

Was at L!dl for it opening at 8am. Came out to much snow! Caught me by surprise. Went to put stuff in boot and realised I had 8 bags of sand for someone! So drove through the snow to drop it off at theirs!

Went to the allotment. Did much. Hence aching! Son came along which I'm very thankful for his height and strength and even though I said he could power on home he walked with his dilapidated mother!

However he got hungry! He needed lunch so we had to put down tools for lunch! Went to cafe at the castle , met a couple of folk I know so chatted with them. Just had a panini. Next time we will take lunch. I could have worked on but he needed fed!

So that was an extra 15 minutes walk each way to the cafe as well as the 15 minute walk to allotment and however long it took on the way back...mostly uphill! As well as a couple of hours of digging and weeding and wheelbarrowing ! It will get easier I'm sure!

It was so peaceful. Sound of the river and the birds. And the weather!

Two chats with my sister...first one to find out how much manure to put on raised bed. Never been near so much poop in my life! The other chap that was there delivers it!

Home to a very playful dog who just wanted to play fetch the ball. Then he wanted to cuddle.

    I'm ever so glad it's bedtime !

    7) Watched Casualty.

    Saturday pleasures,

Bit of a lie-in which was much needed as slept badly.

Capt S had put my towel on the radiator to warm up whilst I was in the bath, it’s the small everyday things that can mean the most.

Bottom of the fridge veggie soup for lunch.

Off to see DN play football, last time for loan side, they lost but it was against the top of table side and DN played well.

Home starving hungry, made Cashew Nut and Halloumi curry which was surprisingly good.

Caught up with the BB Theory followed by Young Sheldon and then read until bedtime.
