Poor old BOP, hoping you feel better quickly until then stay warm, keep your feet as up as often as you can and have hot lemon, honey and whiskey whenever it's needed.
We have found a new Aldi over in Ledbury and it is a fantastic big warehouse of a shop on the Industrial Estate, now I'm happy!
Just spent a couple of hours going through kitchen cupboards and rearranging things, now have empty shelves, ordered tins, jars and dry goods and know what I've got in stock hoorah!
2 wash loads done and dried (sadly in the tumble dryer) despite the vagaries of the weather today.
Finished the Grandpickles Easter presents and am hoping they like what I've got them.
Now know where the gaps are in my stores and what to get to fill them.0 -
Pirate Pete this man lurgy is horrid. I caught mine from son who caught it from many lurgied men at his work who all came in and spread their germs ! Yuk!
Still coughing almost 4 weeks later.
It's lashing with rain and I've just came to bed. Rather tired.
Been up since early. Took friends daughter to school again. Met a neighbour on way back so blethered as we walked.
A friend visited this afternoon. Brought me a lovely climbing rose and 2 lovely little lanterns. I made lemonade scones that were rather yummy. With jam and cream. Nice chatter.
Made mince and tatties for tea.
Yesterday popped into town after doctors. Had a mini mooch round a few charity shops. Got new to me jeans, khaki trousers for allotment wear, a pair of wide leg blue trousers, a lovely olive green jump suit thingo ( probably for my birthday ) a blue and white stripy top and a lovely ribbed grey top.
So much rain last few days ( much wind through the night) means I've still not got to allotment! I'm obviously a fair weather gardener!
Was asked to get a BP monitor so I'm currently monitoring my BP at home. I get white coat syndrome and it goes sky high at the doctors. First available appointment to get further requested bloods done is next week!
Just as I was going to bed last night DD1 sent me a little video as she walked to uni and then when I got up this morning my friend from Melbourne had also sent me a little video from her garden! Lovely to see both. I just want to be there right now. But I'm here with my blood pressure monitor and my doggy. Make the most of what and where I am!
Started and then finished a library book. A whodunnit!0 -
Get well soon BOP
1 We have successfully switched energy supplier very smoothly, still waiting on the final bill which I know will hurt, and also keeping an eye on the offer we used to switch.
2 We went out to the next local town on for their market, but at the mercy of the fruit and veg suppliers, we still got a fivers worth of greenery, cabbage, cawli, peppers, toms, and carrots.
3 I had a CS find a pair of long M and S loungy trousers in a teal colour, brand new with tags for £2 and dh picked up some lego bits and storage bags all 50p each, all great finds now in use, and the trousers running through the wash in a load as I type.
4 We had a late lunch out, so will pick at a few bits this evening.
5 I’ve just changed the animal bedding but the bedding is queuing up for the wash.
6 Applying for more roles
7 Making the new laptop my own downloading some bits and bobs, notepad etc.0 -
Pleasures for today (Wednesday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens well.
3) Bigger son did more training at Go Ape.
4) Went to a lovely carer's breakfast at Caf! Rouge. Saw some people from carer's choir.
5) Looked around floody city afterwards including all the charity shops. Got a Mistral shirt (Mistral is a chain of shops like White Stuff but mainly in the south west) and an Oasis really nice grey t shirt with a sequin/silver thread worked dragonfly. Also a Paris T shirt for bigger son (or whichever of us it fits best).
6) Went to see my school friend for a cup of tea.
7) Pizza for tea plus some more pancakes.
8) Watched Holby.
9) 2nd date tomorrow :-O I can't call this one Mr Piano as that would be confusing. Will have to think of a suitable abbreviation.
10) And smaller son pleased because Man Utd have just won something important.0 -
1. Blossom on the trees in the garden. One of my trees is covered in blossom and the others are starting to bud.
2. During a conversation at work i realised and very much appreciated that the few people I had told about DS1 and his girlfriend problems hadn't mentioned anything and not even the fact he had come home.
3. Man Utd winning.
4. Left over pie for tea.
5. Reading my book. Nearly finished.
6. Stayed late at work but it was appreciated by people above my manager.0 -
