    Epic post DFV.
Sorry to hear that you have been so poorly PK.

    Sunday pleasures,

Up early, reading in a quiet house and snuggles with the small dog.

Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.

Long hot soak in the bath and more reading!

Watching first two episodes of Wolf Hall, I saw it when first came out but enjoying it just as much the second time around.

The wind got up but rain stopped for an hour so spent time in garden, bit of tidying and much admiring of spring flowers, picked a small bunch of our daffs for hearth.

Final episode of Endeavour, Thursday came right in the end and all is now well!

DundeeDoll, heard today's news of tornadoes and deaths in Alabama - is mrpiano all right? How soon might you hear?
  • V Just what cans I say about the cottage pie from yesterday. Creamy cheese chive mash on top as well! Rite tasty as well. Tum was rubbed.

4 Inn this weaks lunch box we have the usual. Turk of Delight, toms, cucumber, boiled egg, two digestives, a rocky, oranges in jelly and some unsmoked cheese.

3 Caught up with the challenge of uni at last!

2 Nite BoP is not going to …

    Not having one again.
Throw another penny into the wishing well!
  • The jumble sale on Saturday was really good D for V, excellent prices and producing much good quality childrens wear (mostly Next) and DD1 loved it all, particularly the Mothercare Polar Bear snowsuit with ears that was pristine and cost me 30p!

Nice day here today, no damage from the very high winds last night either though at one point the skylights were looking fairly iffy! eek!

Big pan of soup on the hob using all the 'bendy' veg in the bottom of the fridge and some of a pack of cooking bacon chunks I get locally for £1.65 a kilo.

Have been right through the house dusting and hoovering the floors and tidying up, it's always a pleasure after it's done.....

The cup of coffee I've just had as I sit here typing, it's an affordable pleasure thankfully.

Being shown the minute but complete and perfect size of my next expected Grandpickles feet on DDs phone ap. it's apparently the size of a lime this week and the foot was exquisite!

Mrs LW is there a new baby expected? How lovely.

Just brought my washing in ( it's had two rainy rinses but is mostly dry.)

I'm waiting on mobile library .

Been to doctors ( having waited and wasted my planned allotment time for a call back) to go back tomorrow morning. For blood results. I want to be jumping on a plane by end of week! Needed to get nasty annoying cough and light headed ness checked out. I'm not booking my flight yet!

Two good blethers with friends whilst walking back from dropping of friends daughter at school first thing.

Enjoy the rest of your day :)

Eta Sue DD okay. Was just being hassled by some horrid girl's friends of her boyfriends ex girlfriend. Got a bit nasty. Grrrrrrr

An extra bonus pleasure. I've been keeping my eye out in local selling sites for a large rug for the dining room ( extension) and saw one today , messaged the chap and he dropped it off at 5pm. It's 2m X 3m so a good size. So rather pleased with that as was Haggis who promptly lay down on it once I had it in position.

Lidl lasagne for tea and I may have birthday cake for pudding!

1 DH and I were back across the bridge this morning back to Costco for eye tests, ironic that it feels like a treat to take care of our eyes, I need a new pair of lenses so may as well have the test and DH overdue. I may have checked our freezer for space before we left.

2 Feeling rather guilty at the cost of the glasses as I’ve got transition lenses as I don’t use separate glasses. Picked up a few of the Costco offers while there.

3 Meal planned for the week ahead.

4 We stopped in at B and Q and went from having a blue living room to a warm pale yellow, if only it was that simple…

5 A pre empted pleasure of there will be clean bedding tonight and a hot bath.:)

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Meeting about smaller son went OK.

    3) Hens bothered (presumably by the storm) so one still hiding in the sleeping quarters and NO EGGS! Still nice to see them.

    4) Bigger son did a day of training at Go Ape so he can run the adult sized course.

    5) I cleaned the house most of the afternoon.

    6) Brother came round for board games.

    7) Bigger son has gone to games night with my brother and brother in law.

    8) Followed a badger for a long stretch this evening as our (single track) lane has steep banked sides so they run in front of your car then can't find a way off to the sides!

    9) In bed with 2 hwb and might listen to the radio.

A few for past week or so.

    1. Had a few days away in lovely weather. We did very little but relax which DH especially needed.

    2. Feel as if my batteries have been recharged.

    3. Contact with someone I haven't spoken to in a while. She makes me feel positive.

    4. Time in the garden and more seeds sowed.

    5. Still living in relative harmony with both boys here.

    6. Daffodils from the garden and bunch of flowers from DS2 girlfriend including hyacinth so smell is lovely.

    7. House or at least downstairs is remaining relatively tidy.

    Monday pleasures,

Popped out for a few fresh bits of veg etc, emporium was quiet and peaceful.

No bad damage to the beech trees after the strong winds and remarkably a birds nest right at the top had survived.

Princess pony was in a playful mood, first we picked up a small stick from the ground and held it in our mouth like a dog then we whipped the hat off Mum’s head by the Pom Pom and shook it, she looked so funny I had to laugh :rotfl:

Doing the BSD so grateful for my tea, veggie sausages with stuffed mushies, yum.

Tested the little grey cells with Uni Challenge.
