    A mixed day
1 hedge cutters came- we have a long laurel/ conifer hedge adjoining a footpath next to our garden ,it gives us much more privacy than a fence would ,but needs regular attention .there seems to be a reluctance among gardeners to do the work ,3 other firms gardeners came looked and either didn't turn up or didn't even send quotes ,seem to be doing a good job ,will be back tomorrow ,not thinking about the cost
2 good time at U3A Rock and roll group
3 grandson came after school ,cheerful talkative ( for him) ,he's v happy as he's saved enough from his paper round and Christmas to buy a gaming computer ,glad his father will have to be the one to police it's use !
    4 ?.
    5?
Not a pleasure ,DH had another fall ,in the kitchen and on the vinyl floor I just couldn't get him up on my own ,so suppose 4&5 must be that SIL and his partner came and helped .
No bones broken but more torn skin on his just healed arm ,and shaken .
He's sound asleep. And snoring ,I'm wide awake and worrying ,he's definite losing balance / mobility quickly now and I dread what lies ahead .

    Thursday pleasures,

A bright, sparkly but cold winters day, needed my sunglasses driving around.

Into horsey town to pick up some supplements, kind man gave me his parking ticket which still had 45 mins left on it, did what I needed and then back to the car, I then also passed it on with 30 mins left.

Over to see horse girlie, gave her the leftover carrots from the weekend plus an apple, left her snuggled up in her warmest stable rug.

Evening walk with little dog, moon high and bright.

DIY SOS was about a local man, badly hurt just doing what many of us have done, going to a football match. Uplifting and inspiring.
  • Yesterday's pleasures ;

    1) Eventually got all the ys food stored away in the freezer. Every shelf is now full to the gunnels.

    2) Lovely morning doing the housework.

    3) Two loads of washing out and almost dried.

    4) Nice afternoon at the knitting group. We had another bit of the donated Christmas cake and there was a new new lady joined.

    5) Had ys sausage rolls and beans for dinner. While the oven was on I made some almond and cherry cookies to use up some ground almonds. They are delicious and wil definitely be making them again.

I was still really tired yesterday and was in bed about 10 and didn't even read - unheard of for me. I should be jumping with energy today :j xx
Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order :) )
  • V Well trimmed in the gym yesterday getting ever more beach ready for the Fisherman’s Wharf. This time of year the place is full of look at me I got larded at xmas and … No BoP can still strut what he did in he twenties, just a few wobbleades ago! Got It?

4 Took the curry out that has been stoved. Will be well hot this night. Wobbleades shall be procured later and we will be on the Tour of Grand. Other outlets are available!

3 Talking of other outlets, wes back onto the challenge of uni proper again. Cocoa and sardines on toast again. I knows, you should had some but you think it is not proper food. Always use granary bread. Cocoa is not foamed version, but from the Ville of Bourne! Crumpet with Marmite was also wolfed down!

2 See that a great Granddad rolled his motor yesterday and walked away. Some snowflakes got a bone bruise and had to be hospitalised. Minds me that the spool ran out on the tape of uni earlier and we ended up on some channel! Poor thing could not cope as her battery on her buzz box had failed. Raffles fortunately was messing around with the ray blu player and we watched him instead.

Having one again today! Shirt makers suit designer has trade for us. That is what ‘appens when you lead from the front and go in knowsing what yous do! Teacakes are on the shovels this day inn the boiler room!

When you hear a rustle, it is because a tree has fallen in the forest.

    Sue - sorry about OH

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. FINALLY caught up with the outstanding washing - except the baskets have started to fill up again.
    2. DS didn't go back to uni. I love having him here. He had an offer of beers out with mates. i think he's going sunday. beers out with mates brings me to pleasure no.
    3. In that he came home at a reasonable time and did not proceed to throw up
    4. Tidied the untidy bits - kitchen and bedroom mainly. cleaned the kitchen
    5. Did the ironing watching "Jackie" then watched Lucy WOrsley programme

    Have a nice evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • The animals decided to be very active until about 4am so a tad tired.

1 Used the RTC’s picked up last night to re meal plan, and this mornings brekkie was almond croissants and hm rosehip jam a nice change to porridge.
2 I couldn’t put it off any longer so I painted/glossed the window sill, skirting, strange pipe cover and door frame, and felt very relaxed as I could see the improvements, so I cleaned up, and then dug out the white gloss and continued glossing the upstairs door frames and skirting, then gave up the paint was lumpy so started looking into other paint, but decided to stop there as there’s only so much cleaning up I fancy doing.
3 Tea is “build it yourself” wraps, salad, cheese, chicken, salsa, turmeric rice.
4 Trying to juggle finances, we have had some big outlays – car and unforeseen, and now the laptops that we knew were on last legs are on their way, I knew it was coming but timing.
    5 A relaxing evening.

A wee half pound off at skinny club. I'll take it! Nice chit chats.

That was about all I did! Cleaned a loo, hoovered downstairs then staircase then lost my oomph!

Some very cold dog walks. Blooming chilly. A few snow flurries.

    Noodles for tea.

DD started her new job . Hurrah to earning cash!
