Lord Frith, what rubbish treatment from the school and sounds like they are trying to push it back on you :(

    Monday pleasures,

Some blue skies and markedly mild.

No snowdrops yet under the beech trees but did see a patch in a sheltered spot driving over to the yard.

Princess Piny is shedding and therefore very itchy, found a good product a few months ago which are basically gloves with a bumpy, rubber side, she loves me using them.

Good chat with yard owner, everyone is glad that the toxic owner has gone and the atmosphere has definitely lightened up.

Uni Challenge followed by a few games of Yahtzee.

I've been feeling anxious lately. Think it's a mixture of lack of exercise, too much alcohol, not enough sleep etc. So I made a deal with myself that yesterday I'd do everything I can to make myself feel better, so I...

    Took my vitamins
    Drank loads of water
    Didn't have any alcohol
    Ate well
Got to sleep at a decent hour

And I do feel much, much better. And work was good. So those are my 5 pleasures, as they amounted to me starting to feel like myself again :D
  • MnMs Nows yous not want BoP to hark on about proper food and how good it is for you! But when the quack at the cardiology ward enquired if I took me vitamins, he advised that was the best thing to do. Even though BoP was bought up on marmite and it is fortified with vitamin B12, see the packaging, BoP still needs theses supplements, even though he does eat proper foods! As for not touching wobbleade. The answer is NO! Note, that taking marmite on crumpets with butter has in no way attributed to …

V Raffles, who at the weakened gets fooded by BoPsie and has been off the nice and decent food BoP bought because it was put into his tray by her, this morning, wolfed down his nose bag! That is what happens when you talk to him and … BoPsie is not happy with Raffles!

4 Talking of decent food, and how many times has BoP been on and on and on and on and on about decent food and avoiding items like foamed coffees etc. We weres in between wat ching the xmas uni challenge, I knows, when the tv thing flicked back to the cooking and dancing channel. Well blow me socks off! What did you expect from the delivery boy with your cheese on toast! If yous want decent foods, follow BoPs cooking tips inn the parish!

3 Still talking about decent scran, BoP did prawn roulette last evening. That is the mushrooms, peppers, toe nail onions flipped in the pan, with some pasta. Topped with king prawns and served with black been sauce. Chilli was added to make it hot! Proper foods and good for you! Other foods are available.

2 Now apart from all that, BoP is at the mill again putting into his pension. We are really cutting our cloth the now. And I also have some xmas cake withs me elevenses to go with it. I ponder how many people have thrown their cake?

Having one today! Nows BoP has bin listening to the NBC Pro Football radio show each night. No carp like you get on our media

    It was a protest vote?

    Good evening.

Woke up early. Another odd dream.

Sorted through lots of paperwork. Seems I've not done it for a few months! Not that anything was outstanding but much tidier now. I'm trying to create a mini office ( how I miss my !Melbourne office overlooking my garden) on my shelving unit which also overlooks my garden....its just more of a building site than a haven for parrots ! )

I'm trying to make sure everything has a place and a purpose. I will never be a minimalist but I just don't want to be overrun by stuff either. I do still have a few empty kitchen cupboards I can put things in.

Out on another course. This was rather fascinating .

Had parked car at M0rrisons so nipped in to see what was RTC got some lovely bread.

Drove ( in horrid rush hour traffic) the opposite way to normal to collect DD2 from hairdresser. She had her haircut on Saturday and was not happy with it ( nor me) so she went back in and said so today. Hair now sorted by salon owner.

Made RTC crusty rolls with sausages for tea. Son had soup with his. I'd mine on lovely organic bread! Discovered (belatedly) the grill is infact an oven because I actually read the instructions whilst sorting paperwork. I had thought my range had 3 ovens then when I got it thought it was just a grill! A revelation!

Bit rainy. Bit windy. Bit cold. Bit wearing a jumper and lying under a big blanket will put heating on for a bit later.

Home later than the dogs tea time! Poor thing! He was very pleased to see us.

MandM, glad you are looking after you.
1 The downstairs of the house is hoovered and then vaxed, hoovered upstairs, washing loads done and hung around, with the previous lot put away.
2 A pizza slice for lunch, well it just didn’t fit in the freezer, cawli cheese was tea but it was dreadful.
3 I feel better for making time to go to an exercise class.
4 Chilling, well I’ve taking some painkillers and sitting on the sofa with candles burning in the background.
    5 Reading your pleasures.

    My five for today are;

    1) Weighed myself and have lost 2.5 lbs. I'm happy with that as I have had treats and never been really hungry.

    2) Did my exercises this morning and also went for my usual Tuesday walk. It was very drizzly but still enjoyed it.

    3) Visited mum afterwards and I steadfastly refused to eat a Tunnocks teacake :rotfl:. Might have one next week to keep her happy ;).

    4) Shortened a nice black polo neck top my friend was going to get rid of. Fits me perfectly now.

    5) Finished the body and sleeves of the lacy baby cardigan I'm knitting so just the front and neck bands to knit.

Looking forward to visiting grandkids tomorrow as dgd is 6 and there will be birthday cake xx

gran3 - do you remember the MP who got in trouble for sending his secretary to Soho to buy certain "goods"? That's our MP...

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Smaller son had a day of school and did a bit of homework.

    2) Work went well and everyone was chatty. I happened to mention to a student teacher where smaller son goes to school (not in a bad way, just said the name of the school) and she immediately went into reams about why the behaviour policy is awful, the student teachers on placement there can't implement it because it is mad and had I thought about moving him somewhere else! He's in isolation again tomorrow. He'll have been in class just 4 days this year.

    3) Hens well.

    4) Went to have a cup of tea with my school friend.

    5) My brother came round for a bit.

    6) In bed and going to watch Holby just now.

Mhags I had a strange dream too about playing scramble with apples. It was possible in the dream.

    1. Morning at work went quickly helped by going in late. Meeting was better than it sometimes is. Back was very sore and my line manager actually asked how my back was! I was stretching it at the time which was causing me to cry but it's progress.

    2. A colleague being thoughtful.

    3. Cooked chicken bake for tea as not sure how many people I was feeding or when they would want food.

    4. Friend came to stay. He arrived at 8.30 and is coming to MIL funeral tomorrow. Had an enjoyable evening chatting. It helped him being here as DH more relaxed.

    5. Received a card from MIL sister saying she is coming to funeral with her son and grandson. I have never met them so may be interesting.

Frith - my friend was in a similar situation to you with her younger son. Constantly in isolation. When she finally gave in and had him home schooled (she used Inter-high, an internet based school) the school said "what about his socialisation?" The boy was fine in all the clubs he went to, it was just the little !!!!!!$ at school who would wind him up, knowing he then lashed out.. The lad went to 6th form without any problems and is now about to complete an HND before potentially continuing onto a degree.

DD - hope everything is ok

    Pleasures for Monday

    1. Washing hung out on the line - and DS did his own :T
    2. meat free monday - had winter veg casserole for tea
    3. work went ok - i am getting back into the swing
    4. yoga
    5. playing the Hamilton soundtrack while i worked - obsessed, i am, obsessed

    And Tuesday

    1. Kept on keeping on with the work
    2. On line uni reduced my marking load :T
    3. OH and DS were watching life of Brian, i could hear it from the office and had to keep going in for the really :rotfl: bits
    4. chicken sandwich for lunch - i rarely eat sandwiches but couldn't resist the fresh chicken. THe bread tasted really sugary though, so won't be eating it too often
    5. Hmm, might have to bank this one.

Hair cut and debadgering today - boring but i shall read my book. have a good day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
