    Good Morning,

    DD ;)

BoP Watched the Lucy Wordsley programme and saw them throwing tea into the river......we missed that when we went to Boston.

    Recent...

    1. Frustrating day on Friday......a day where I seem to be invisible, and only cats can hear me! Got through to the end of the day :j

    2. Spent 1 1/2 hours in the car delivering DS2 and friends to a sleep over. Made a quick tea of Jack Monroe satay chicken and stir fry, as we were starving!

    3. Appt at another kitchen designers on Saturday morning. Stylish design. 3 hrs tweeking. Really want it, but need to work out how to afford it.

    4. Lunch at Costco. 2 baked potatoes and 2 cups of tea.....£4.60 :rotfl:

    5. Opticians.......neither of us needed new glasses.

    6. Jamie Oliver 15 min Hungarian Pork Steaks.......3/4 hour later, as I couldn't find one of the spices I needed. It was very nice, and we has sponge pudding and custard for afters. :D

    7. Lots of lovely photos from DD. Seems to be enjoying the adventure again at the moment.

    Have a lovely day :)

    1. Walked to local tea room. It was cold but felt better for it.

    2. Met friend for coffee at tea room. Had a long chat then looked round the antiques downstairs. Some interesting items. Offered a lift home but decided to walk.

    3. Spent most of afternoon decluttering and then ironing. Felt productive which was good.

    4. Went shopping with DH. He needed some t shirts for under his work uniform.

    5. Had meal at pizza express. Used a voucher so reasonable cost.

    Whitwoo DD :)

    Saturday pleasures,

A lie-in and a cuppa in bed, luxury.

Over to see equine girlie, picking up a net of carrots on the way. Reused a big plastic tub that the birds food come in to keep her supplement in. She was full of beans out in her paddock, squealing, bucking and broncking around, swear she was showing off.

Lunch and then out to see DN play football as he is on months loan at local side. Stood next to man who was talking about this ‘young lad ‘ they had got from CUFC, then my 6ft4 nephew runs past, had to smile. He played well and gratifying to hear another person say what a classy player he is.

All this pride didn’t stop me from getting cold, really really cold so not sure if OS but pleasure of heated seats in Capt S’s car.

Home and made a blistering hot chilli for tea.
  • HE. We did the tea boat! Watched her. I suppose it is a bit short, but ... we were in South Ferry where she was filmed, but they mentioned the Statue of Liberty, but nit the mariners memorial and eagle bowed towards the lady. Still we is planning Fisherman’s Wharf.

V Chetahs. That is it about Lincoln DD. And what’s is this about Raffles being closed. Nothing here is closed to Raffles!

4 Just had mince and tatties with dumplings. Huge dumplings. In fact too much for BoP. No puds either!

3 Was out looking at lounge furniture. We are going to do front room up soon! After FW!

2 Did shop and haves me a treat. Party rings. That will be a sweetener at the mill tomorrow!

    Not having one today!

    It comes naturally!

    Pleasures for today (Sunday).

    1) A lie in!

    2) Hens OK and their very deep straw bedding will last another day or two. Then they will be moving on to weird chopped sawdusty stuff, in an attempt to make me sneeze less when I clean them out. Have over 20 eggs now as they are laying 3-4 every day.

    3) Did various jobs round the house including lots of laundry.

    4) Tried a different thickness of rope around the bottom door of the stove (it's to seal it) so will test that out tomorrow when the glue is dry and see if less air gets in.

    5) Cooked 2 pizzas and made some cous cous salad for my niece's 4th birthday party tomorrow. Took those and her presents round today as we shall be so pushed for time tomorrow afternoon.

    6) Popped to Sainsburys.

    7) Bigger son has been staying with his friend since Friday and will stay overnight. (He is a care leaver so has his own house now he is 18). Friend got a new bike today so they have been cycling all over the place.

Not a pleasure that my aunty Audrey died yesterday and that is the very last link with the north east gone now. (She and my uncle were pharmacists and ran the pharmacy in Bishop Auckland for many years, McC, and lived in West Auckland). She was 97.

And on this day, 4 years ago, my Uncle Bert died at 95 overnight and I was thinking about him but had many jobs to do that morning. I went into town, through the snow flurries, to get a call from my sister saying her vision had "gone a bit funny, but that was probably nothing" and that her midwife was coming out but "not to tell anyone because of Bert". She didn't listen to me saying get your bag and go to hospital... I ended up sitting in Sainsburys caf! and we would never have guessed my sister would nearly also die of pre-eclampsia, then eclampsia then an haemorrhage then a second haemorrhage for good measure! What a couple of days those were.

Hello. Bedtime . After I had to remake it! Note to self ... don't wait till bedtime again but it is as always nice to climb in between clean sheets!

Cold day. Heating on/off/on and back off for the night.

    Much laundry done.

Bathrooms cleaned whilst growling loudly at my adult children!

Popped in to friends. Nice catch up.

Made gammon joint, roast parsnips ( with rosemary and Parmesan on them) cabbage, cauli, sprouts ....hurrah to the last of the M&S 10p ones!...just taken me three weeks to almost single handedly work my way through 2 bags!) most yummy.

Weirdly had been thinking of our neighbours in Melbourne ( had been yearningly looking through photos) and she messaged me an hour ago! Lovely to hear their news.

Sparrer and McCulloch were in this morning's dreams. Was trying to tell them all about my lovely BIL but I couldn't remember his name...that would maybe be because I don't actually have a BIL. Such weird weird dreams!

    Good morning,

    Yesterday

    1. Full English breakfast. (Frith Egg production ramping up here too!).

    2. Coupons for the Emporium got the bill down to half :j

    3. Made 'Gloop' and got lots of washing done, but drying is impossible

    4. FaceTime with DD.

    5. Friends for tea. Made Satay Chicken, noodles and stir fry. It was easy when I made it for 2, but very stressful making it for 10 people.....never again:rotfl:

    Have a lovely day :)

    1. A lie in.

    2. A day spent in the garden. I tidied the greenhouse so wasn't too cold. DH continued to cut down trees! Cobnut trees have upwards of 8 trunks per tree.

    3. Frequent cups of coffee to warm up.

    4. Had lasagne from the freezer.

    5. Went to cinema to watch Stan and Ollie. Enjoyed the film.

    Sorry about your Aunt Frith

    Sunday pleasures,

Thought it had snowed at first as the frost was so heavy, all sparkly.

We had thought about going out to look for a new piece of furniture but really cba so spent the day at home instead.

Nice long walk with little dog but so cold my eyes wouldn’t stop watering, good to be out though.

Roast dinner followed by copious amounts of laying on the sofa reading.

Listened to the News Quiz extra and then watched Vera, might have had jammy toast at 9pm.
