    For the past few days
1 Clearing up with animal help from gardening.
2 Batch cooking with the reduced turkey mince I picked up I made a batch of HM burgers, a batch of chilli, a portion of which will be tonight’s food with turmeric rice, and a pot of bolognaise, when it’s cooled it will be frozen up. I also prepared a prawn cocktail with reduced seafood.
3 I phoned the vets for 2 critters, hopefully maintenance and antibiotics.
4 Baking cherry cupcakes to satisfy that sweet craving which sort of have worked, the cakes worked but I used an unknown baking butter as it was yellow stickered, and I treated myself to a proper icing bag, but it turns out it’s not the equipment it’s me lacking any sort of decorating talent, and the reduced baking stuff not good at all lesson learned.
5 We had planned to go out tonight, however an hour later and we are back home with a tea and cake, we had to abandon our plans due to traffic chaos, but could cut across backroads to get home again.

    Hello again, OldTractor!

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Took smaller son to school. Had time to kill before going to Aldi etc so sat in a caf! (usual one as it is by the only 3 free parking spaces in the whole of carpet town!) The caf! is opposite college so I thought I would sit and wait to see bigger son arrive (first lesson at college at 9...) At 2 mins past 9, a tall figure parked a motorbike nonchalantly and strode into college, motorbike boots flashing, helmet casually under one arm - it did tickle me! I took a photo of his motorbike as I went back to my car and messaged him saying "What a magnificent vehicle" !

    3) Hens well and 3 eggs.

    4) Did another hour of floor sanding. Have worked my way into sons' bedroom now. All the floorboards are different woods and they do not come up quite as well as the dark ones on the landing nor the pale ones in my room.

    5) Got various jobs done - washing up mountain, washing, tidying, made a broccoli cheese ready for tea.

    6) Went to local National Trust and into town before meeting my school friend for a cup of tea.

    7) Watched the final 2 episodes of Bodyguard.

    1) gym managed snatch doodahs
    2) took colleague to tower cafe. Handed half my money back -half price before 10 yay
    3) interesting meeting at work. Called vote. Vote went against my preference but accepted graciously
    4) colleague wasn’t happy. Went for drink after work. Told her she could moan all the way to the door then nadar. Worked very well. Invite3 another colleague to join us. Didn’t realise it’s her birthday tomorrow. Lovely evening
5)shuffled through leaves on way home. Love autumn!
Gonna add 6th after crapidacious day yesterday
    6) ‘took it for the team’ and colleague said I should have said we messed up rather than I messed up. On reflection was right course. It was us but saying I means it’s focussed on me, no worries, and colleagues pleased all seems ok. Feeling much better today!

Frith Power tools! I really need a Dremel. I have been looking at Dremel projects on Pinterest........probably for hours :o

    Recently

    1. Conference on Monday. Near to home, so late start and early home. BoP Would have asked questions, but I was a coward. I am very inspired by the speakers and the displays by students from other schools. A useful day.

    2. Got my certificate for my post grad course. Won't be turning it into a Masters, as I think I have reached the limit of my cleverness, but I am very proud of myself.

    3. Morning class have finished making and testing their jigsaw puzzles. So much fun, and a quality product.

    4. Afternoon class was messy.........:rotfl:

    5. Steak and chips for tea. Everyone happy. :)

    Have a lovely day :)

    Monday pleasures,

Woke up with good amount of energy so whizzed through household chores despite gammy knee.

Yard owner had moved fencing in Lu’s field to give her some new grass and she had eaten the whole lot in one goal so came in with food baby. She was groaning a bit so was a bit worried but stayed with her to make sure everything was working ok.

Finally watched last week’s GW, I especially like it when Nigel steals the show.

We are getting some spectacular sunsets and last nights was no exception.

Exercised little grey cells with UC and then watched the latest episode of Strangers, still not sure and think the test is I don’t really care what happens to the main characters!!

Loved GW this week - I love Nigel too :):):)

Had a lift into town with OH and while he was doing his cardiac rehab I had a mooch round the charity shops and got loads of clothes for work over the autumn/winter

Made a lovely pasta dish last night and enough left over for 2 lunches :j

Lots more work coming in including a couple of big jobs which will make up for the poor summer and hopefully we'll be able to take our September wages soon and clear the horrible overdraft :j:j

Decided where to put my new apple tree

The garlic and spring onions and broad beans are growing well and so far untrampled by our dogs (wish they were as well behaved as Nigel!!)

Had a very busy couple of days (again) - so catchup for me (again) ........

    5 for Monday -

    1. Defrosted 2 GF Sausages and 1 piece of steak for evening meal - will be having with pack of savoury rice :D!
    2. Made myself a 'cup-a-soup and sandwich' for lunch, before going shopping - always best to shop on 'full stomach' :o.
    3. Church providing a 'Shared Lunch' for friend's DH's funeral on Tuesday - I volunteered to provide 'The Salad' - so needed a trip to Aldi for fresh stuff. No 'pre-madePotato Salad', so decided to make from scratch instead :j.
    4. Relaxing :coffee: in Costa - because 'I'm worth it!' ;)!
    5. Called in on DD on the way back ................... good to see her with no DGK's around, for a change!
    6. Got home just in time to get 'evening meal cooked and sit down' as Emmerdale started :j!
    7. Spent evening in front of TV with chopping mats, sharp knife and prepped baby toms / radishes / spring onions / red onions / cucumber / peppers / gherkins while the 'Charlotte Pots' were simmering away for the Potato Salad. Not seen my fridge so neatly packed with containers since last Christmas :rotfl:.

    5 for Monday -

    1. Arrived at Church for funeral and to help get food sorted in kitchen.
    2. Lively service, much appreciated by his family and friends. Loads of people there, so had to get 'extra seating' out.
    3. Transporting all food to local British Legion Club, while funeral continued at Crem. HUGE pan of Scouse in back of friend's car (SUV) - survived journey :j!
    4. Quick dash out of funeral to get BP checked over by doc. Oops - maybe today wasn't the best day to have it done !
    5. Back home and made Mushroom Omelet with Chips for OH - I had Roast Beef Salad - using up whoopsied Beef from freezer and some of the left-over Salad from funeral.
    6. ........................ and relax :T.
  • HE Conference that is just a knocking shop full of hot air!

But really, it is just that tickle on the back of yous throat that turns the hairs on your back at times. Don’t worry, there are a few around and you are not alone! It happens! Even when I was inn Apple of Big just the now, my junior shoveller in boiler room was working on other project. He was having bad day and could had … All he thought of is what would BoP do! I ask you. No bu99er thinks of me! Oh besides, BoP likes a good speaker, who can express their position. I don’t has to agree with them, but I take the view, I have not got the shovellers in the boiler room I want, I have the team I have been given. Therefore it is down to me to bring the team home. And I am a bloody good actor as well!
Keep your life simple and clear the desk every night!

1-0 Oh yeah! Away! Get inn!

V - ictory at last. Take that. Ifs wes carry on like this and … We will be Champions! Take that DD. Told yous I would get back today!

4 last night in gym BoP is getting his SF Body into shape. Details and cake mixture out shortly.

3 Thinking of emergency holiday. Tea party time I think! Mmmmmm. More later!

PM2DD BoP is on cloud nine! Got it!

    Cannot have one now today!

At last, yous at the end of your version in the ‘Life of BoP’ for today!

Please checkout #RedWhiteBlueDay supporting the armed forces charities in skools. It is this Friday.
  • 1) Flock of blue tits upside down and 'going over' the trees along the footpath this morning, sounding like tiny squeaky violins!

    2) Many things out of the store room and into the loft.

    3) Found two Harry Potter DVDs in the charity shop so the only one I don't have is Deathly Hallows 2 which will come in its own time.

    4) Gave in and bought 4 mince pies.....would have been rude to leave them!

    5) This is the first afternoon where we've finished the jobs that HAVE to be done so we're going for a drive, lovely!
