    Pleasures for today (Tuesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) The rather extreme tummy bug I suddenly came down with on Sunday evening has gone!

    3) Chickens well and 4 eggs.

    4) Bigger son's new motorbike working OK so far.

    5) Spent 2 hours sanding my bedroom floor of marks and many different coloured spatters of paint accumulated over decades. Looks much better.

    6) Did all the housework I was unable to do over the last 2 days - washing up, washing, hoovering etc.

    7) Went into town for Aldi and to try and find a new toilet seat - so expensive! Didn't get one so will try B and Q tomorrow.

    8) Had a sandwich at Waitrose for lunch.

    9) Met my school friend for a cup of tea.

    10) MrN's son5 motorbiked over to meet bigger son (no insurance on his bike yet but they can park them side by side and compare them!) and MrN has given him a pair of his old motorbike boots! I was able to get him a motorbike jacket from a charity shop last year but have never been able to find boots long and wide enough. So bigger son has been clip clopping around the house happily this evening.

    11) Watched 2 episodes of The Island with bigger son and might watch Holby City just now.

    12) Oooo, and made an appointment to sign the contract to have a new front door!

    Good Morning,

    1. What a beautiful moon last night. I can still see it now.

    2. Wore one of my new dresses. Lots of nice compliments from people. It does need a longer petticoat though.

    3. Starting to like my DT room. It will be better when it is organised how I want it, but starting to feel like my space.

    4. Making jigsaw puzzles with my Y7 class. So much fun.

    5. EBay parcels sent.

    6. LO chicken made into tacos with fixings.

    Have a lovely day :)

    Tuesday pleasures,

Waking up to a warm house and having a long, hot shower, oh the bliss.

A beautiful Autumn day, cold start but sunny all day. The WM was busy chugging away playing catch up.

Visit to the farmshop, they were starting to put out all the ‘C’ stuff, no no no.

Winter slaw with feta and walnuts for lunch.

Standing in the garden feeling the sun warm on my face.

GBBO, loved watching it but have no urge to make a biscuit chandelier :rotfl:

Like HouseElf the beautiful moon, was rising behind the beech trees when I let little dog out for her last comfort break and was just setting when I opened the curtains this morning.
  • V Fed neighbour’s cat this morning, no idea where she comes from, but Raffles has got wise to why he gets his bowl and I disappear! This morning he was off out and appeared at the flap of neighbour. He did not get in. BoPsie is recovering!

4 Got to pack overnight bag for putting Aunt away on Friday, so usual BoP will not report. As bank has paid cash back, we can go up from a bacon roll to share to a bacon and egg banjo, each! That is what happens when you look after the pennies!

3 Made the curry last eve, and it was hot! Stripped the bird, and raffles was wanting the skin at the same time. BoP won! Tossed in pan with mushrooms, toe nail onions, peppers, sweet corn and BoP is your Uncle! Right tasty. So the bird gave us six meals. Two roasts, three curries and enough for Raffles.

2 Nite, guess what is for supper!

Having one today! End Shaving Poverty? Well. I was recently in the Big Apple and the bar on 46th Street had no gender toilets, but cubicles for all. Not a problem, but I would prefer the green waterless urinal to remain an option as queueing up could be a problem!

Have not bin inn the emporiums since Sunday, but if you see evil products on sale, remove them from display.

    There is more again tomorrow!
  • 1) The beautiful nd nervous tabby cat who lives next door actually let me stroke him this morning.

    2) Enjoying the new to us library and finding new authors every time we go.

    3) We have half a free greenhouse on the front drive, HWK collected as much as he could today and will get the rest later.

    4) The second of the climbing roses on the back fence that I thought was dead popped out loads of leaves when we got some rain and today he has flower buds too.

    5) Found a lovely plain white wide, shallow bowl in another charity shop this morning for £1.

Hello. Dark at 7.30pm I'm just not ready for dark nights!

Nice things today? Em...my dog. We've had him with us for 4 years. Lovely if wet walk. Noticing the subtle , mellow shades of Autumn where I walk. Just seems weeks ago it was vibrant and green and pink. The chatter of the birds.

Meeting a friend on way and another on way back to pharmacy. Chit chat.

Just had fajitas for tea...a wee bit nippy for me.

In other goings on...dog vomited at 3.30am.plasterer here at 7.45am and plumbers 5 minutes later! Quick dash upstairs to make my bed!

Not enough plastering done for joiners to do their bit. They needed the room so my splash backs weren't done as planned. A few skirtings and door facings put on. The wrong wet wall panel was delivered. Too late, it was cut. Sorted out but not in time for finishing today.

Had bought 2 sofas and a dining set from charity shop, for delivery today
Phone call,to say one of sofas was actually broken . Then they only brought the table and chairs and not other sofa. Tried over 50 times to call shop but constantly engaged. So trip there tomorrow !

    Anyway...tomorrow is another day!
  • Dark when I got up too mhags
    1) gym at 6:30am. Will the real ddstep forward :rotfl: very proud of myself as managed to do some knees up hanging from the bar
    2) in early, shower, breakfast and a bit of calm before the madness of the day set in
    3) yummy hm lunch of veggies lightly fried, rice, cashew nuts and curry. Next time i’ll chuck in some sultanas too. Rice was leftovers frozen rather than binned
    4) potential PhD student and her husband came to look round. She’s got 3 children so I showed them where some schools are in return for lift home
    5) after supper walked dogs down to station to meet mrpiano and get my train ticket for tomorrow. Another early start so signing off
