    Saturday pleasures,

Started the day with eggy bread and fresh coffee, perfick.

More food, this time a Bara Birth cooking in the oven made the house smell gorgeous for an hour or two.

Met a pal for (yet more) coffee and then went to see her horse, it was good to catch up on each other’s lives.

Enjoyment of Strictly was interrupted by plumbing emergency and by the time we stopped racing around with buckets and towels all was finished. Rather dazed by this point we watched some back to back Father Ted which included the cows & caravan episode, makes me laugh every time :)

Little dog’s usual sleeping spot was inaccessible due to damp so she was allowed in our bedroom as special treat, her contented snoring was very soporific.

    Good Morning,

Thanks Ollie and Frith, these are exactly the reasons I am looking for alternatives, although the group I have got are not very keen on the idea of a charitable enterprise. :( Need to find something to inspire them :rotfl:

    Yesterday

    1. Jewellery workshop with a friend. Made spinner rings.

    2. Lunch in local cafe to warm up. Workshop was very chilly!

    3. While I was out, the builders had used the 'Whacker' machine to lay the floor of the extension. I missed the noise :rotfl:

    4. DH visited DMiL and DSiL. They have completed forms for Attendance Allowance and organised carers to check on DMiL twice a day. I have been suggesting this for months, but I am not allowed to comment, as MiL does not like me. :o

    5. Takeaway with friends. Could not cook, as out all day at workshop, and house is full of chaos and dust. Lots of LO for lunch :j

    Have a lovely day :)
  • V Was in the emporium yesterday as BoPsie is with cold and got medicine for her! She will recover by xmas. While there, pushed evil products to rear of shelf for no one can buy them. please if you see evil on the shelf, remove and put them out of reach!

4 Went to w8rs and partners this morning for shop, as voucher is for paper. Got a buzzard to roast and that will turn into curry later this weak. Watch BoP news later. Will be roasted with stuffing, snorkers in blankets, leek and rosemary infused roast tatties. No Aunt Beastie here!

3 Won the lottery, but not leaving the …

    PM2DD

Having one today! Frying pan has had it, see above!

So far as it is, that is it for BoP News today
  • 1) Finding the switch that turns on the heated towel rail in the downstairs bathroom.....and turning it on as I got up, closing the door and after a cup of tea finally having a warm room to wash in! was smashing!

    2) Coffee out at the garden centre with DD1 and James this morning and taking time to just sit and chat and catch up. Normally we're working side by side and don't get time to listen properly.

    3) Beautiful cobweb festooned with raindrops just outside the conservatory.

    4) Sunshine between the showers and the contrast between the bright blue sky that goes with it and the darkness of the looming clouds before a heavy shower.

    5) Watching two magpies see of one of the cats who live next door while I was washing up this morning, they faced him down and ran at him and he turned ran, well done magpies!

    4. cooked pie, mash and veg for tea followed by crumble. proper foods, tum was rubbed
    5. watched the next episode of Strangers, love seeing Hong Kong

Have a good evening all - THe Bodyguard tonight, finale.:T
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • For today:

-wasn't sure about going out today as tired in the morning but I perked up later

-had a lovely swim at the pool

    -made a cake

-more paper shredding done and next load of stuff ready for the cs

-nice chat with my friend on Skype

    -loads of stretches done.
  • 1 I’m resisting putting the heating on, but my metal ankle wouldn’t get moving this morning, trying to hold off a bit longer but may cave very soon.
2 Using leftovers and freezer stock for food today, ended up as marrow stuffed with it all and cabbage on the side.
3 We were trying to pack the air con units away only to find forgotten about DF boxes that were unpacked a couple of pieces kept rest to CS. Also had to clear the various cutlery keeping the quality and CS box for the things we now had 4 of.
4 Folding away summer clothes into a crate for next year, and donating a couple of things to CS.

    5 Watching Agatha Rasin.

Bedtime. Hurrah! Just watched last episode of Bodyguard trying hard not to fall asleep.

It's been a beautiful day here. Very chilly this morning though. 3o...what?

I have flooring all the way from front doorstep to back. It's lovely. I wanted something dark enough not to show dog paw prints.

This was tested out. Son and dog absolutely filthy. Covered in thick mud.

Had to return DD2 laptop to shop. Broken down after 6 months.

Bought 2 rag rugs for mucky pups water bowl to sit on.

Out last night at a gig. Coolest auntie in town! Nephew plays lead guitar/vocals in a tribute band. Old fogey that I am thought it was far too loud! Lovely to see him though.

Huge chat with friend on phone. She'd came over whilst I was out. See her tomorrow.

Sending some love to some friends doing it a bit tough just now. It doesn't take much to send kindness but it can go a long way.
  • Sunday pleasures

Waking up in a warm bed - still the summer duvet :rotfl:

Not having to go out in the cold :D

DH visiting his niece to put up shelves - meant she didn’t have to pay for a handyman :T

Creating an hm pizza for my DSis which she absolutely loved :T

Hm chilli for DH & I - bit of a kick - thank heavens for Soured Cream :rotfl:

Mixed one now - DH had to rush to Moorfields Eye Hospital - confirmed he has a detached retina but op will be Monday 8:30 a.m. under local anaesthetic.

Mrs SD Well done to DH taking swift action. Hope The op goes well.
Mrs LW Heated towel rails.....brilliant invention.
Mhags Bodyguard  We had to wait an hour before bedtime, as your system needs time to reset :rotfl:

    Yesterday

    1. Bodyguard last episode.

    2. More sales on eBay, and some new listings.

    3. Bartering eggs for apples.

    5. Used my Sparks offers.....£5 off a pair of jeggings and £2 off food hall. (Roast dinner offer bought). Then Waities with a WYS voucher. Had roast dinner for tea and LO chicken for later in the week. (Yes BoP!).

    6. LO Chinese for lunch. (DS1 and DS2 had their share for breakfast ).

    7. Popped out for posh coffee, with loyalty cards, as a reward for DH painting the surround of the front door.

    8. Spoke to DD. Upset, by an argument. Talked for a long time about how to put it right. Pleasure was that she called later to say she had spoken to the girl concerned, and they were ok.

Where did The weekend go? My favourite group today.....have a lovely day :)
