Oh dear Mrs SD
I thought I had posted these,
1 Opened some of last year’s homemade rosehip jam, blimey cement has nothing on this even the microwave wonders what it is.
2 DH turned the heating on and it’s lovely.
3 I found and unpacked a lovely fluffy jumper while packing away the summer clothes, I went to move it and one of the ferrets had already moved in.
4 Simple mint marinated chop with cheesy pasta will be dinner.
5 Various bits of office work and tidying done, spoke with someone about a contract, and cleared out about 20 books then re rescued 2 books so erm 18 books then.
6 Tidied out the fridge and cleaned it.
7 Saw a nuthatch on the feeders.
8 Utterly useless bank called about my complaint, pleasure being I stood my ground they are checking records, I told them I expect a full refund by the end of the week, also told them its amazing I make an official complaint and they are phoning within a day, when it’s something that benefits them there’s a letter from them that still hasn’t arrived, perhaps I should be charging interest as well. Don’t think they like people fighting back.

Monday was a quiet day and pretty uneventful:
-appt with my neurologist went well and everything stable.
-nice day at work
-nice chat with parents and sister on the phone
-had a lot of energy today
-did stretches
-early night and got off to sleep quickly.0 -
Back from a lovely week in Spain with glorious weather and good friends so I'd struggle to pin it down to 5, but I'll concentrate on small things since i got back not big holiday things
- the garden wasn't as affected by the storms as I feared, the only damage was a pot with a chilli pepper in blowing off the table and smashing.
- my seeds are well on their way and I'll soon have broad beans, spring onions and spinach where the courgettes and squashes now are
- got my washing done and out on the line, then brought it in and put it on the radiators overnight, and thanks to the cold morning and the heating kicking in, it's nearly dry
- it was lovely to see the dogs again, and see them coming out wagging their tails before they saw us - and then going crazy when thy did :rotfl::rotfl:
- the nasturtiums had gone crazy, spreading all over the back door mat and the patio and creeping round the side of the house, until the dogs started running in and out of the house and pulverised the bit on the mat :rotfl::rotfl:
The holiday has done us so much good, after a hard really few years, i don't really even have the back to work terrors, I'm mainly quite looking forward to getting in and catching up so we mustn't leave it so long again!0 -
Morning Folks,
Yesterday
1. I have a line manager at last!
2. Year 11 class riding bikes to think about how vehicles move forward. Taught one girl to ride a tricycle. (Sad that so many of them have never had the chance to learn.).
3. Loads of yellow labels in Mr A. All stuff we will use. :j
4. DH has booked a nights stay in Liverpool with a Groupon offer.
5. Dresses have arrived from eBay. Not quite how I imagined them from the photos, but ok for the money. My new style will be Boho Chic if I can pull it off........or woman wearing a sack if not. :rotfl:
Have a lovely day0 -
Good for you PK
Monday pleasures,
With no hot water or heating we were still up and ready for the plumber by 7.30am.
He located the leak after taking just 3 floorboards up and had a replacement part on his van.
Capt S had an initial interview for a dream of a job, he has already been asked back for second :j
Went to see pony and she was very opinionated, took ten minutes to do a task that usually takes one, was gentle but firm and we got there in the end. Apparently a lot of the horses on the yard were much the same, put it down to change in temperature.
We had the roast pork belly that should have been sunday’s meal.0 -
Good Morning all :hello:. My five for yesterday -
1. Reasonable night's sleep and a beautiful day ................ ALL DAY!
2. Spent the morning 'pottering' and 'tidying emails' ................ wouldn't it be great to be able to fully stop all the 'rubbish' that keeps going into my Spam Folder .
3. Trip to Wilko's for some 'decent glue' to mend a handbag rivet - but should have had my 'blinkers' on. Also bought an 'over cupboard door basket' to store baking trays, a new bottle brush and some sweets. Over to A$DA for some fresh salad and potatoes, but stuck to that :j! Treated myself to a coffee in Costa in an effort to relax before going to Dr's appointment.
4. Unfortunately the visit to the doc wasn't very good - BP was not behaving itself.............. but the Cholesterol was brilliant :T. Have to go back again today, to have the BP re-done by 'proper GP' NOT the Health Care Professional.
5. Mushroom Omelet with Salad for evening meal.
Dundee Doll - I love Chester. It's not that far for me - can get there for FREE using my bus/local train network pass, and yet it's y-e-a-r-s since I've been there. Perhaps, I'm going to have to make more of an effort to explore my own region in the future
!
Have a good day, y'all - off back to doc's.

Ah Chester. The Bridge in and City Arms. Vaults from years ago with BoPsie!
V I knows I has harked on and on all year. This morning the wonderful BoP mobile said it was cold. I know, I has a calendar and the sun is below the horizon for the now, so it is cold! Now as said has you fixed your utility bills? Now as yous know, BoP’s thermostat decides that BoPsie’s tootsies don’t get cold inn the morning! And it was on again this very day taking the chill out. So again no condensate!
4 Tea this evening will be the chicken curry! BoPsie’s favourite and she does like it! That will be five meals that the big bird has given! Value for money and I still don’t believe that there is still a spotted Richard in the fridge, next to the wobbleades! On that I was inn the emporium of W8rs and partners t’other morning and the cornflour used in BoP’s pan gravy, is able to make smooth custard! That will not do inn house of BoP as I can do instant proper bird’s lumpy custard, with proper milk and not foamed with the kettle!
3 As I ons a rant this day. Not only that but filling my luncheon box and BoPsie’s this morning, on my visit to W8rs and partners t’other day, I got some new baco foil. BoPsie, in her wisdom threw out the box. Now I cannot rip as good as I used to be able to so there could be some troubles ahead. Thinks hot curry and …
2 Now has I mentioned muy Lunch box yet today. Filled with goodness of toms and cucumber, snorker roll. Jelly with oranges and strawbs, a penguin and a club! Proper foods good for you.
Having one today. PM meeting again this aft’noon! Usual rules. The boiler room is the bee’s knees! Got it?
That is all the BoP for this day!0 -
Lush, lush, LUSH weekend:
1) Friends:
Met up with my best friend (haven't seen him in months and he's moving to Berlin in May so good to have a catch up). Cheapo vegan lunch at a pub chain, then hopped onto the train with him to London. We had a drink in a pub, loads of laughter, then went our separate ways.
Then met with a girl from work, her boyfriend (who is French so I got to practise) and my hubby. We went to Pizza Express Live, saw some blues, ate pizza, drank a LOT of wine. Then hubby led us to a really cool underground cocktail bar near Holborn where we stayed until 1ish. Train home and snuggled in bed by 2.30pm.
2) Exercise:
- CrossFit on Saturday and Sunday were fun. Neither time did hubs want to go but he enjoyed both. He is slim but so out of shape, but he'll get there. I am going again tonight and have booked onto four more classes this week. Feeling keen!
3) Food:
- Glorious vegan pizza at Pizza Express, then on Sunday I made a lush curry using homegrown green beans, chickpeas, carrots and coconut milk. And homemade chickpea veggie burgers. Won't have to cook until tomorrow night now (hurrah!)
4) Telly:
Not v. OldStyle but on Sunday we were feeling wiped after CrossFit so binge watched Killing Eve. It's So Good. So. Good. SO GOOD! Snuggled in bed:)
5) House stuff:
Really enjoying renovations and just a generally tidy house. We did Project 333 (removed all by 33 items of clothing, shoes and accessories each) and now the bedroom feels really peaceful.
Also, I feel so much better about leaving the house now a proper alarm is installed0 -
Bedtime. Just done very quick dog walk to the roundabout and back! At least it was dry after a very wet evening.
Went into town this morning. Wanted a mooch round charity shops looking for curtains. I was there for 9am, most don't open till 10am. No curtains for me but a slouchy cardigan for £1...need extra layers in the building site. A pair of shorts for DD2 £1...another lovely white top ( but you already have lots said DD2 and don't get her started on all the blue and white stripy tops) for £1 and a nice skirt for £1. An apricot Swiss roll from M&S and that was my lot!
Home and nowhere near to park as 2 plumbers vans, a brickies van and a plasterers van and then the painter turned up!
Lovely dog walk in the wind which felt nice blowing my very dusty cobwebs away. I'm looking forward to getting everyone out my house, making it my own again. Grateful for their skills but enough!
My friend came round for a visit. A laugh and a cry. Walked her up the road a bit.
Best bit is when all the builderly people go. Three different lots of music playing today.
Made mince and tatties for tea. Yummy and very simple.
Washed floors. Washing was dried on line and DD2 has tidied up the spare room...which has the contents of the airing cupboard in it ( it's being used for plumbers stuff just now. It also has my most recently worn clothes as I can't get into my wardrobe as it's barricaded by stuff from the other hall cupboard that also has plumbers stuff!
Tomorrow is indeed another day!0 -
Tuesday pleasures
Glorious bright, crisp, sunny autumnal day - if a touch chilly :T
Finally got around to doing some housework - the pleasure was not the actual housework but the feeling of accomplishment :rotfl:
Third night of chilli - but with rice tonight - starting to get a bit lively so thank goodness for soured cream :rotfl:
Having short pleasant chats with 3 of the occupants of the rented house next door.
DH starting to blitz his office - at last :rotfl:
A beautiful pink sunset
Seeing our fox, he/she sits in front of the house waiting for tidbitseach & every night :rotfl:
